Thankee sai!
Things didn't really come together for me so I won't be able to make it. Maybe next year.

rooms...

Post by larni »

Ok, I still have no room for the event and I will leave tomorrow morning for South America and get directly to Chicago afterwards...

It would be awesome if I could share a room with someone who has already booked one (or intends to book one, so keep me on the list and pm me if you would have space for me!).
Worst scenario would be, that I arrive in Chicago without a room and I have to book then in the hotel (which should not be that big problem, except of the price).

I am only staying for 2 days from the 26th to the 28th and I have, of course, my sleeping bag with me!

Thanks in advance, guys!

Sorry but my room will not be able to accommodate anyone else..

I'm also wondering if I could partake in the intermediate routine comp.? I have my music selected in all I just don't know if I have to be on a list or anything.

So Mike Hollis can no longer come to the event.

And he was my ride down to chicago.

So.......I'm an now going to cancle my hotel room. And trying to find a cheap train ticket down to chicago for the event. If I can find one does anyone have extra room where I can stay during the event?

Otherwise I will not be able to make it this year.

Even tho I cant play I was really hoping to make it and see some people who I havent seen in a long time.

That is terrible news. I was looking forward to playing with him again. I can't wait to play with Ken Somolinos for the first time too! Probably gonna be some sick people I don't even know of yet!

Runkstafari - bring your music on an iPod or pm me what song you'll use. There will be a sign up sheet at the event, we'll do either intermediate circles or routines depending on level of interest.

Zach - that really sucks. I don't know who has room open but hopefully someone does. I hope you can still make it, even with the bad wheel. But I understand if you can't.

I feel that at these events if you show up it isn't too difficult to find crash space. Bring a sleeping bag, and there is usually plenty of floor or if worst comes to worst one can sleep in the ice room. I hope a lack of room accommodations does not deter anyone from coming because that is easily remedied.

In other news I'm super stoked. CIC and footbaggers of chicago I'm coming back up this weekend. We should play.

Hey Zach,
Check the megabus. I just checked and a ticket from ann arbor to chicago on the 26th is only $38. Return is likely cheaper.
I wish we had room, but we have 9 people in 2 rooms. There might be floor space. I dont know how big the rooms are.

The rooms are 2 queen beds or 1 king bed, a desk, a tv, and washroom/entryway. Theres room for 2- 4 on the queen beds depending if you mind sleeping with a guy. The floor in each room can hold 4 more without tripping all over each other. The rooms are built for sleeping in and not hanging out, they arent large. Snorers, stinky shredders, and the shower are the main issues when you pack the room tight.
Also, always get paid for your room before you let anyone sleep in it, it sux to be trying to get the $ you are owed when you are trying to shred.

Now would be a good time for people to post their definite arrival dates, especially those who requested crash space before or after the event. We've kind of been keeping a mental list but, you know, so many different things have been indefinite. Thanks! See you all in a week!
