Last year there was 20+ badminton fields for net and a large area for freestyle as well as a basketball field sized gym in case of rain. Less than that could get difficult schedulewise.

Dear Modified: Ted Fritsch, is a man god. A true hero within footbag.

That just made my day. Oh glorious baby moses.

Possibility One: Worlds is in N.A, and that means Anssi comes to NA. There would also be a chance that Juho, Toni, and or Tuukka Antikainen could attend. Father Vasek, Milan, Ales and Honza could make appearances, and a copious amount of Polish people yet to come to N.A. would also be welcomed. Norek, Gielnik, Olaf running wild through the streets, as Cod pillages and pleasures many. Wiktor Debski, and Szymon would be carried ontop of large chairs with sunglasses as they cleared the way. Think about it, Finland+Poland+Czech+ some Tina, Flavio, ugh

ALL the cool kids could come, and it'd be just a wonderland of a place. Goldberg would probably come too, and all would be well.

Possibility two: Just Anssi comes, with Milan and Vasek tailing behind.

I see that as a win win so far,

Possibility Three: Worlds is in Europe again. All 7 North American's could attend, and no one could see Dr. Cleaver face Vasek in Circle. Hell, if I knew Worlds was in North America, I'd paid Dr. D to play footbag. DUDE, imagine worlds=California. If it was there, berry picking season or not, LON smith could attend, and maybe, with some convincing, a Mulroney or something.

Ugh, worlds has to be in North America. Like, watch Team Finland fly in. Immediately, half of BAP would be in your back yard. Watch the Czech crew fly in, you now have sunlight and babies grow in Vasek's footsteps, assuming the precipitation touches his lavers, on moist ground. As Poland walks in, hmm. I'm not sure. But COD would be coming. So good.

if it's NA don't expect that many europeans Jay, don't forget it's really expensive and many players don't have that kind of money.

I would love both places. California because I never been, or NY because I could drive there and save a plane ticket.

But whatever, we shall see in time.

There are actually 3 US locations that have put forward tentative pre-bid suggestions that they may host worlds - San Francisco (but with the support of other clubs in California), New York and Las Vegas.

From what I've heard, I'd rate SF or Vegas as the most likely location and it seems that the only thing we're waiting on is for a venue within either of those cities to be confirmed. Chris Ott is organising both those bids and appears to have already done some really good ground work, so this looks pretty probable. I'm unsure which is more probable out of SF or Vegas. The supporting clubs Ott mentioned were all in California I think, which would suggest he's looking more at that then Vegas, but there's not a lot of information to go on.

The New York pre-bid stuff also sounds good, but their language makes it sound like they don't have as much solid details worked out as the SF/Vegas pre-bid. Neither pre-bid location has actually given much specific details though, so I'm being rather speculative.

Either way, at this stage it sounds like a US 2010 worlds is certain, there hasn't been any kind of expression of interest from anywhere in Europe (or the rest of the world

) to host the event.

The official cut off date for official applications is December 26 and as yet there have been none, so I guess that could end being the deciding factor - if one place gets a bid in on time and the other doesn't, although the WOC is usually fairly flexible, so it's probably best to keep an open mind.

As in the emails that Ted F. and then Vince Bradley have sent to the World Oversight Committee to say "we are interested in hosting the 2010 Worlds."

But it's all early days yet, there's not a lot to go on. I would hold the view the event could be anywhere until the official bids come in.

I like Las Vegas, and I think the footbag players there rule, and worlds would be neat there, but has anybody played footbag in Las Vegas at the end of July before? I mean, I know it is possible if you stay indoors, but in case you have not played footbag in Las Vegas at the end of July before, it is pretty much like 120 degrees Fahrenheit outside all day long, and it does not cool off that much at night. Has anybody from Finland played in 120 degree desert weather before? I am not saying that they can't, but you might want to ask them what they think about that.

120 F is about equal to 48 degrees Celsius. That would be extreme, but I will bet one of my footbags that it will be 110-115 during the day.

113 F = 45 C.

Yes, I like converting things, it is pretty much the whole reason I made this post.

I'm down with NY or Cali. I've never been to Cali before, and I live in NY, it's a win win for me.

As for the Europeans making it to NA. They don't make it to NA for the same reason NA doesn't make it to Europe for Worlds, its pretty expensive.

Maybe we should have it in both places at once, and we can Stream live to eachother for results.

How cool would that be?

I would rather have a larger crowd than a neat place; however all three places are neat so...... But i would vote NY if it would be easier for people overseas to get there... But whatever works you know.
