nice straight stitching caleb. What do you think about doing a little more gather on the next one, everything else remaining the same (or slightly more consistent, if you can)? I think you'll like the look of it better.

I did a stripe bag 3 years ago or so. I don't know if I was the first, but I know I did it before Brian.

Heres four from me, all aside from the brown blur (finished last night) have been stitched for a while now, just havent got around to buying some decent fill for them.

If anyone can spare enough filler to fill some/all of these, then they're welcome to pick one in trade

looked a little cool less gathered I just finished #18 today
but for 19 I'll definitely try a little tighter

Right now my bags are filled with a tungsten/steel shot mix. Ive pretty much officially steered away from even using plastic for %. The added weight is just as nice imo.
I cant wait for my new disc filler from Brad. Im gonna see how the steel discs mixes with the tungsten shot. I think it could turn out slick.

Personally, i would put my bags at about 55-60% full.

I cant seem to figure out who stitched that design first. Ive been through every page of this thread (lol, while creating my other color patterns thread and out of personal interest, lol) and im pretty sure that who did it first doesnt have a pic up, ie expired photobucket or something. Alf says he things abshire but i really doubt that. Andi cant tell if julien knew or was seriously asking, lol. Brian Dennis would prolly be a good bet on my behalf.

ive seen that design on abshire's amaretta minis at us open 2008, the first time i saw one of his bags with it. i'm not saying he hadnt earlier, thats just when i first saw it on one of his bags. i had personally already done that pattern before i saw it then, for one of my bags at green cup 2008. i discovered the design on my own, not having seen it anywhere else before. i am in no way claiming to have invented it... im simply saying, it is quite an easy pattern to stumble upon if you put any time into thinking about panel designs. most likely, many stitchers (including myself) have found this pattern on their own accord. but, for all i know, abshire could have found it 10 years ago, which i think is probably the most likely answer; if it's easy to figure out, who else would have found it first but the person who has been stitching for the longest time?

all points aside, its a sick pattern, one of my personal favorites if done with six strong, vibrant colors.

about the patern, myt question was serious caus i made a bag with that patern like 3 or 4 years ago and i though i invented it untill i saw it on here ... and at this time, i think Brian just started stitching so its definatly not him (or me). i just cant remember the first time i saw it, but its really a cool patern.

tasty bag! I like the way an atom triclaw has 16 of each color

the first time i made a 6 stripe was from copying a pic of an abshire bag i am pretty sure.
