Wohh... Nice on the double illusions. Those barrages are looking good. I'm jealous. I said it before but it needs to be said again. You are doing something right.

Thanks Reid! You were the inspiration for the barrages of course.

Kicked again today. Hit two challenges and a run with delusion bsos and one barrage. Best part is that none of them are clean 8) It's all good though, still felt cool as hell.

Finally got to kick again today. Not playing for a week at a time is so painful right now, at least mentally, only slightly physically. Today, I was sporting my new shred shorts and a pair of running gloves that I got for christmas, so the winter weather was not a problem for once (except kicking the bags into the snow). There were a bunch of ups and downs.

Highlights:

- spinning butterfly > pdx whirl > blizzard bs
- toe whirl > ripwalk bsos
- blender bsos
- toe blender bs
- flip toe ss symp whirl
- spun out of strong whirl, almost flip
- flip pheonix horribly sealed, and I mean horribly, but I had to do it since I first hit pheonix last christmas :P

Had a lot of trouble stringing today. I just need to constantly play and I'll get it back.

Anyway

Merry Christmas!

The weather was 'good' today, so that merited a session. I tried more of a different warm up today. It was more like my old warm ups, but it had some additions and some subtractions (ones that I shouldn't subtract anymore).

The session itself wasn't that good. I was trying string length with guiltless and I sucked lol. I still made some progress maybe. There was one highlight maybe at some point or another, but I can't actually remember.

However, I was able to finish with a goal that I've had for the past month or two: janiwalker. I've been wanting to hit it so badly ever since I read the tips for it in the vasek manual. I've always been able to get a very low set and just kick it away for the butterfly. I hit it twice today and it felt so good. I feel like that redeemed the session 8) kinda.

I desperately need to wash my bags. I've been too lazy.

Now I just have to figure out how to spend the $35 in iTunes gift cards I now have.

Later

edit: I forgot a highlight that I was really happy about: swirl x2 bs. I know it's nothing special, but swirls are something I've kind of neglected just because I've kind of been able to do them for a while now.

While I'm here, I might as well mention that I also hit rev whirling rake > inspinning osis. It was a link that I tried probably earlier this year to no avail, but I got it within a few tries, so yay.

This edit is a day after my session, and my right leg is definitely a little sore or stressed from my work on janiwalker I think. I'll have to keep a close watch on it.

I really wanted to kick today so I could get in one last session of the year, but of course when I randomly woke up at 8 AM, I look out my blinds and see that everything is covered in snow! Wtf? Maybe my deck will be dry enough tomorrow or something to have some sort of session.

I got all but one of my new years resolutions from last year, which is really satisfying. I'll just repost what I posted in the resolution thread cause I'm lazy :)

I more or less did all of these except for being strong guiltless. I'm happy that I was able to achieve pretty realistic goals, even if I really only started achieving them starting in september.

I'll go down the list:

- I'm basically guiltless
- not strong guiltless
- hit dimwalk swirl, janiwalker, and maybe a TATW (I'll never know if I actually hit it or not. I think I did ;) )
- longest tiltless string = 50 contacts, longest guiltelss = 21 contacts
- stamina has gotten a bit better for the most part. Kinda trailed off during holidays but still better.
- I got first in intermediate routines at funtastiks.

I think my only resolution for 2010 will be becoming a very strong guiltless

Happy new year modified!

Will: Thanks! Yeah we'll definitely have to get out to NYFA one day. I've gone a couple times in the past and it's always fun.

Tom: Thanks a lot. Your game is actually inspiring to me as well

I got to kick for the first time this year. It was a tough decision because weather.com said the temperature was 25 degrees F, and that it felt like 13. However, I was fed up with the weather stopping me from playing so I geared up and endured it.

There weren't many highlights perse, but I was overall happy with the session. I took a nice long warm up, which did in fact, warm me up nicely. Did my tiltless strings, got a couple 20+ strings. I didn't have too much trouble getting to around 10 guiltless, but again was having trouble getting solidly past it. Ultimately, I had a couple strings over 10 that I was happy with. I was also able to hit a ps whirl each side just to try and keep them fresh. I even got another food processor. It was probably my "best" one yet. Best as in I caught in the right spot and not on my ankle. But, I didn't hold the stall very long. I guess that'll just come with more practice.

Hopefully I can play again tomorrow. It's supposed to be ever so slightly warmer, so we'll see.

Later later

edit: For christmas my grandparents gave me money to buy some stuff for myself. I purchased a shirt from fourkast, and a shirt and sweatshirt from kolosport. Everything fits well so i'm happy to finally have more footbag apparel. I feel so cool 8)

Just kicked again. Today it was only for an hour roughly because it was really cold and I got a random stomach pain after my then last string.

I took a long warm up like yesterday to make sure I didn't jump any guns. I really tired my legs out towards the end of the warm up by doing 100 legovers (not consecutive). That's something I really need to try more often.

I then kind of learned how to get torque somewhat somewhat consistent on my strongside, but they weren't even very good torques. With my flipside, I just couldn't turn my body enough. I wonder if it had anything to do with the lack of traction between my lavers and deck. Probably not but who knows.

Symple swirls randomly decided to work today. I bsos'd it after a few tries. I also bsos'd toe dlo first try, and then I told myself to go for eggbeater and dlo both bsos. I start the string on strong eggbeater, I hit flipside pretty easily, got strong dlo, and finally dropped on flip dlo. There was also a ripwalk b2b in between the dlo's and eggbeaters, so I was very happy with the string. This was also when I got the random pain in my stomach and decided to call it quits for the day.

I was supposed to go to a rock climbing gym tonight with a couple friends. Unfortunately, one hurt his hip and some point, and the other is starting to get sick. Hopefully they can all still go sometime this week before everyone's back at college.

I guess I enjoy being home for break and everything, but there's a lot less to do. There are always people to hang out with at school cause everyone's so close, but here, it's harder to find available friends. School also has grippier playing surfaces. I always thought the back deck of my house was good, but that was when I played in climacools, which had plenty of traction. Now in my slippy lavers, I feel myself sliding all the time. I might even venture to say that I prefer the uneven parking garage to the deck. Idk though. A spot's a spot.

Time to shower.

I haven't kicked since tuesday, but I've decided to start trying to get my body in shape otherwise. I went for runs around my town wednesday and thursday, along with doing pushups, crunches, and some pull ups thursday and friday.

I was planning on kicking yesterday/today/both, but around 1 AM on saturday morning, I got sick. I didn't end up back in bed until 5:30. I hate throwing up with a passion. I threw up for the first time since 5th grade around this time last year. My dad got sick around this time last week, then my brother on wednesday, then me and my sister the other night. I was trying to avoid it so much. I partially figured exercising every day and trying to make my body stronger would do the trick (at least mentally). Alas, that was a fail.

Not sure when I'll get to play again, but hopefully soon.

Thanks man. I'm starting to get pretty sufficient strength back.

The carpet that my dog dirtied on thanksgiving was finally put back into my living room, so I have an indoor spot again! But, I go back to school on monday, so it doesn't do me a world of good.

But anyway, while watching Legend of the Red Dragon, I put on my pair fourkast shorts, picked up my will_T bag and did some mess around stuff in socks. I stretched my legs a tad, then began with hitting the DATW both ways, both sides. I then did a pixie set and realized it went really high, sparking some interest. I was able to hit pixie ducking legover both sides and was able to foot pixie DSO a couple times. One time it was just sooo perfect but it flew forward instead of up.

Hopefully next time I play I'll have sufficient time to have a real session. I'm really looking forward to it, so we'll see.

Footbag

!

edit: I picked the bag back up cause my parents left the room and I was able hit pigbeater lol

Just kicked for 2.5 hours and I am beat.

Started off with a typical warmup, hit a bunch of longer tiltless strings, then proceeded to work towards 3 10+ contact guiltless strings. I don't know what it is, maybe my lack of playing lately, but I've completely lost my guiltless string length. Not that there was much to begin with, but it was still better than now. So it took me a decent amount of time just to get those 3 strings, but I felt good once I did.

Then I worked on stuff for the online comps for a half hour maybe. My camera didn't have a full battery. I only got a sick 1 on film at the last second that I don't want to use but I have it just in case. My two sick 3 options are pretty feasible, or at least they will be when I'm back in some sort of groove.....hopefully.

After the camera died I tried to string more/work on concepts. I improved (I think) on atomic and quantum a tad. Neither concept is really that hard to do the lower level tricks with, but I still can't seem to incorporate the effectively into strings. All with time and practice I guess.

Now to go relax 8)

Kicked last night while watching that new green lantern - first flight movie.

My warm-up started off well because I could actually feel the traction of the rug I was playing on. However, I must've rushed something at some point because string was very very difficult for me. It was weird. I'd be able to hit the concepts I was a tad shaky on but then I just couldn't follow it up with the simple stuff. Maybe I just didn't have all that much energy. Stuff like quantum and DLOs/eggbeaters just took so much effort.

I'm glad I kicked anyway though. Despite the abundance of n00bery, I still had some fun with it. I reeeaaallly have to wash my bags. I think I have 9 that need to be washed haha.. I think I've taken my "high" amount of bags for granted. Ohhh well.

I took for granted the amount of good bags I had for awhile. It sucks when they run out. :(

I just recently bought a Hania, which is the best bag I've had in a long time.

So I hurr dat. Wash them.

Haha will do Zac.

So on my facebook, one of my statuses had to do with wearing an optimus prime helmet that my brother bought for an 80'a theme party. Of course I got some responses saying to make a shred vid, so here it is 8) :

I'm half tempted to put it in the videos section lol but it's really short

Haha yeah, it rocks.

Just kicked with drew martin and will T. Had a really good time. None of my strings were particularly long whatsoever except an early tiltless one. So I obviously need to work on that. However drew did point out that I always try for harder strings, so I just need to tone it back down and work my way up. I was just really happy to kick with people again.

Highlights:

- a couple whirrs
- a crazy sloppy janiwalker
- delusion bsos again
- toe whirl > whirl > symple swirl first try each side. tried each side at different points in the session so it felt cool
- a most likely not clean pixie barrage
- a couple ps whirls bs at the end
- fun

good bye

Kicked with drew, will, and benny tonight. Everyone looked like that had a lot of energy tonight.

I had a couple strings I was happy with. I was consistently able to do drifters midstring without really facing any difficulty. That's what should be happening at this point, but I just kinda noticed it today. I also hit a blurry whirl midstring. Felt diesel to throw it midstring for once instead of just starting a string with it. Speaking of 5 add business, quite surprisingly to myself, I learned I could step out of phoenix. I was really doubting my ability to, but bam, it happened like first try. I think I got the blurry whirl out of it and didn't realize what I just did but attempted a ps whirl. So if memory serves, then I technically got a new fearless link, but idk lol.

I really really really have to focus more on string length. I'm really sucking it up in that department. But I don't have any more distractions, and some more stuff is clicking, so I think I'll be good. I'd be way more confident in that statement if I could get myself to play more than twice a week. I really think I'm confident/proficient enough in a decent amount of concepts, so I just need to keep the bag on my foot.

Bed time 8)
