first post of my very own footblog so I will go over the highlights of my sessions today and yesterday.

Yesterday, I hit stepping same side butterfly(flipside), spinning butterfly (third attempt and it was extra clean), stepping paradox illusion (first attempt for these 2 kids that asked what my best tricks were), hardly missing my pixie diving butterfly.... FIRST EVER FLUX (I was stoked!) other than that I mostly drilled my pixies and my left butterfly because its very weak..still..

today, first ever clean toe set torque! (I actually stopped after I hit this.. haha had to leave on a good note) First attempt at one of my sick threes fairy legover>butterfly>ripwalk tried it with a butterfly swirl but I wasn't catching my swirl. more pixie practice and butterfly/infinite practice along with clipper ducking clipper both sides practice. and for shits and giggles came breathtakingly close to atomic whirl 3 times before I gave up.

thats about it for today and yesterday, I can't wait for tomorrows shredding to begin!

today was the best session that my roommate and I have ever had.

what was hit by my roommate: first ever frigididosis spinning clipper, clipper ducking osis, osis pdx mirage, osis pdx illusion, and clipper spinning clipper. all of these for him were fucking awesome, some were unclean but he was still stoked as was I.

me: more pixie practice! getting my flipside pretty good on it, and I hit pixie legover>pixie legover! Practice a bit on my flipside butterflies and ended up hitting Infinity>Infinity>Infinity>Infinity>Infinity (most Ive ever done!) I also hit first time ever Ripwalk>Ripwalk twice! I hit Blizzard both sides in the same run (pat on the back for that one!) My first frigididosis spinning clipper aswell! along my first spinning ducking clipper (which was extra smooth imo). I also hit bothsides atomic butterflies! and my second fairy ducking osis! came close probably 4-5 times on my pixie diving butterfly but yet to hit it again... practiced on my flipside osis but I have the hardest time with it, I need a video so someone can help me.

My best runs today Ill try and remember. flipside blizzard>legover>smear>butterfly>blizzard if I remember correctly.

thats it for today. Once again I cant wait for tomorrow.

I like reading your blog. Makes me wanna kick.
What is your average run lenght? How good are your 2 add basics?
Seems a bit like you are working too hard on new tricks and not on foundation (as I always am).

I guess I have a problem with trying a lot of new tricks instead of schooling my foundations first. That probably started because I have a very weak right ankle (due to systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis which I have had since age three and now am nineteen) so I didn't (and still don't, but its getting better with my stretches) have a very good ankle crank. Because of that from the beginning I never really tried right clippers(clipper with my right foot, idk if that is right or left clipper? someone please inform me)and now fail a lot on my right clipper and right butterfly... I feel that my lack of right clipper makes my progression so much harder now because I can easily school clipper with my left foot so I tend to do it more on my right side.

I checked this before I left to shred today and asmus you had asked what my consecutive string length is normally for me and before this I would say I never really payed attention to it. Now that I am thinking of it and after shredding today (very weak session for only 30-40 minutes, I wasnt feeling it) I would say with 2 add, 3 add, and a thrown in 4 add somewhere I normally hit probably 10 contacts. and 10 contacts SUCK! thank you for letting me notice this, because of this I am going to drill a lot more on my basics, which I have been trying to lately any, but more so I am going to now.

Since I started more on the basics probably after midwest regionals where everyone had better string length than me (I guess I stepped up my skills and won intermediate circle and routine and I know that my opponents were better than me!) I have been able to hit tricks which I couldn't before due to illusion practice and pick up practice and legover practice. I can now hit eggbeaters sort of efficiently and miraging legovers which always troubled me.

So tomorrow I am going to take up advice and try not for adds but for string length and consecutive tricks, practice a ton with my left foot and hopefully leave tomorrow able to hit double atw with my left 3 out of 5! hearty goal but I think I can manage! Also do pick ups, legovers, illusions, and just toe stalls until I am standing in a pool of sweat! tomorrow will be fun, I will post my contact average length and hopefully it will improve from 10 to 20! that would be nice, actually 30 would be awesome if I could hit that doing just 2 and 3 adds. we will find out!

Today was a good day to shred, although I wasnt feeling that well in the stomach region...

Practiced up on my clipper to clipper, and my flipside illusions (I hit probably 12 in a row was my highest). Other than that just had an overall good session, I've increased my string lengths a bit, my friend Elliot told me that I was even getting better at my basics and that he noticed the improvement. was trying to think of some sick threes and I hit smear>atomic illusion>butterfly. tried to hit ripwalk>stepping pdx mirage>pixie diving butterfly but couldnt hit the butterfly. Overall though, schooling the basics is making me definitely a better shredder! I can't wait for what tomorrow brings!

yesterday was a pretty sketchy session in the beginning but it panned out into an overall good sess.

I hit clipper spinning clipper>ripwalk
clipper ducking clipperX3
trying flipside barflies but I figured I should work on left doubles atw first

other than those it was just some basics layinem DOWN! and other shreddocities

highlights of today... clipper to clipper is getting a lot smoother and easier (my numbers are easily increasing in it) and all else I want to say is my spinning sets are getting lower and I was so close to hitting terrage>DOD but it was at the end of the sess and my legs were tired.

once again tomorrow here I come

today was a good shred, although not for my roommate...

I was hitting ripwalks quiet easily, back to back aswell. I was trying ripwalk>stepping ss butterfly>ripwalk reapet but my flipside wasnt wanting it to much and it takes a lot out of you energy wise. other than that it was schoolin on basics and just laying out some contact runs to see what I could reach although I never counted..... sorta stupid but my string length is continually growing!

dude.. wtf????? you hit ripwalk swirl (ripcurl) (Stepping butterfly swirl) !!!?!??!??! wtf??? and you hit Smog, (pixie DLO) and a blurry whirl (Step PDX whirl) and a blurriest..

oh you bastard.. not to mention you have a damn roomate who can play....

ffs dude im jealous. my leg is practically broke it feels so sore so i can't play.. it hurts to do consecutive inside kicks with my right leg.. it sucks.. probably will take close to a week off...

im jealous >_> & you need to learn what moves are called lmao..

stepping ss better = Sidewalk
use a < to string tricks together, Example - Osis < PDX mirage < DOD
Spinning clipper, Ducking clipper, ect doesnt need to have the set foot. although you can include it.. Clipper set ducking butterfly.. or toe set ducking butterfly
butterfly is really a "SS butterfly", Infinity is a "Far butterfly"

you'll learn.. :P ... i don't know much either which sucks =/

I actually hit all those tricks while extremely hungover from my going away party I had on sat. night at my moms... then at like 3 on sunday my head hurt so much but my legs just felt great so I decided to shred and just started throwing the tricks down!

true, I have no idea usually what the trick names are HAHA! but you get the point right....? and yea I do have a roommate who shreds with me (he is not at the same level as us due to him sort of going for huge tricks all the time and not basics) but I am moving to perry point maryland in like 10 days so I wont have him as a roommate anymore just me to shred (which is how it usually is)

just wait til I post what I hit on here today from the shred at my moms house thats going down later....I'm feeling stepping pdx drifter and atomic ducking butterfly and fog.... high hopes but I got em

Ken will actually be away for the first four months that I am there, but other than that there are plans in progress to kick with some of the D.C. Allstars crew on this sunday!

Yesterdays shred was basically BASICS! hit some good runs with 20 or so contacts until my couch kept getting in the way... we will see what later today brings!

I havent posted on here for the last four days because of sickness. AHHHH! I have JRA (juvenile rhuematoid arthritis) so when I got a chest cold my whole body started aching, especially my knees and ankles. It was sad but I had to take a few days off of training! tomorrow im starting back up again because Im almost back to 100%

Last few sessions I had before I was sick though I was hitting some good repeat tricks

Lots of Pick-up>illusion repeat
mirage>legover repeat
Pickup>far clipper>stepping legover repeat

and just trying to do strings where I hit all basic illusions and legovers in them. all toe set and clipper set and paradoxs and stepping has been fun drilling

trick wise I've been trying my hardest HARDEST for osis. slowly getting there, Im confident with my flip osis but still needing more on my strong side

other than that I hit pigbeater I hit DLO>eggbeater I can usually hit fog within three attempts strongside and just trying to train the hell out of my dumb left foot, but I can feel it getting a lot better

VEGAS JAM HERE I COME! I will be a different shredder by the time it comes!

Thanks for all the advice you gave me in denver ken, I've been doing a lot better with it!
