When the location of Worlds is announced, if it IS indeed in the Bay Area, people would be able to fly into both the Oakland Int'l airport and SFO (San Fran Int'l airport). It probably makes more sense for international travelers to come into SFO, since it is larger and would probably cost less. Oalkand Int'l is a hub for Southwest airlines, and you can generally find sweet deals from your airport to OAK if you can fly Southwest.

Already looking for tickets, so far 630$ is best for me, hopefully find lower prices.

I'm looking forward to a great week in SF, never been there!

Never been to Oakland. I'm glad it's somewhere new to me.

:?: Intrigued by the mention of "net training camp" at the footbag.org page. Any details on who/what/how?

I appreciate your offer Aaron, but my gf will have enough troubles dealing with the fact she's going to be almost 8 months pregnant, so I will only go to worlds.

If it was'nt for that, I would have come for sure

Cool, now I'm definitely going to have to do my best in making it to Worlds this year, and hopefully make some extra time to go to the US Open as well.

Feelin' pretty stoked! :)

When making plans, it might also make economic sense for some people to investigate flying into San Jose, and then heading north. I've seen some good deals, at the expense of convenience.

be sure to at least check OAK and SFO, as the prices will frequently differ by several hundred dollars depending on the airline.

If you can fly southwest, it is worth monitoring their specials, frequently they will drop below $100 each way.

hmmmm.. sister lives in san fran... so I have double the reason to go.. we shall see

edit: and I second the san jose airport notion.. did that on my last business trip out that direction a few weeks ago and the flight cost was half of the SFO cost
