yeah, jay and steve are coming. =D

okay, so we will probably be playing at unlv again and the weather is gonna be partly cloudy with highs of 63. since its a little later than last year, it will be warm and the weather is basically rockin today, so we shouldn't need a backup shred spot. We will be playing on the north side of the student union which is the second place we shredded last year.

Friday will be pretty rocky since everyone is coming at various times, but i plan on shredding at some point at UNLV on friday to get some public exposure.

Saturday I plan on meeting around eleven or noon at the shred spot and the same for Sunday factoring in that it is vegas and people will probably stay out and not want to wake up early... I do plan on doing a rip n run event (since it is the easiest event to organize) with a matt cross bag as a prize. thanks matt.

Dinner will probably be at my house on one night and we will probably go to a buffet on the other night but if anyone is not okay with this, then feel free to do your own thing.

PM me if you still have nowhere to stay...

UNLV - 4504 S Maryland Pkwy
Evan's house - 311 Vandalia St. 89106
I'll try to make a map when i have more time

Add me to the list, looks like I'll try to make my way there.

Our deal still up Evan?

Bring your A game everyone, because I will be filming :)

Also Zeb and I will be able to maybe touch up DotS a little bit, and I'll give everyone a good showing of it.
Look a BLOG! That I never update

So the Idaho crew is a growing bunch...looks like Jim, Zeb, Daryl, Dylan, Jared, me and ...hmmm, I guess we'll have to bring Cam too.

I think we might take two vehicles now! My friend gave me a sweet car in December and we will probably take the van too.

Anyone from Portland want to ride down with us? You get yourself 6 hours to Idaho and we'll take you the rest of the way!

I think I might just leave on Thursday with whoever is ready to go...I think Jim has to work Thursday so perhaps Jim and Daryl will drive down Friday.

Still working out the details, but we will be there!!! :D

that's great news. i have bad news though... i might be the only one running the event this year, so some hotels may have to be rented. jeff may be bailing because of his boxing match, but hopefully not.

therefore some hotels may have to be rented... then again since it is las vegas and there is an abundance of hotels it shouldn't be too much of an issue with finding a hotel the issue would be paying for the rooms. i mean you can always get a cheap motel room for $25 or there is a motel 6 in between the strip and the shred site for $50/night so if you're splitting a room it shouldn't be too much of an issue. i'll see if my parents can get any deals since they work for the hotels.

hopefully jeff doesn't bail, but i just thought i'd warn not to disappoint.

Jeff bailed,

Me, Sunny and jim are currently looking for crash space fo this jam, Without it, its unlikely that we can attend because we dont have the money to do it, and i know its very late notice, but i figure if jeff can give late notice then we can as well ;)

can anyone help us out?

Follow up:

I am sure a lot of folks were surprised to see me roll up in Vegas, I gotta tell you I am super glad I did! Everyone was super cool and I got to finally place some names with faces. Here were my impressions:

1.) Kyle Hewitt - You are the man! This kid, the "epic troll" of modified can BUST (Matador in Brand New Nucleus)!!! If you have never shredded with this guy and have attacked him on this forum --- SHAME!!! Kylie is not only good but he has fun doing it and I for one had a blast shredding with him. Here's to un-banning Kyle!!!

2.) Jay - You are way too serious...seriously good! Next time learn to lighten up... no seriously I couldn't keep up with you, you are waaaayyy toooo good!

3.) Zeb - Wow dude you remind me of me, but way better and both sided. Zeb is super smooth and can hang with the big dogs. Whoot! Whoot!

4.) Tim - So impressed with your game. There were times when you would throw flip pixies (my nemesis) and I would cringe inside. Awesome stuff! Hope I get to shred with you again in future (maybe worlds???)

5.) Kevin Crowley - You impressed me the most. You came out slow but very well controlled. The more you kicked the bigger your game got. I don't think you missed anything you tried! Bravo dude!

6.) Rory & Cale - Awesome to see both of you again. Rory you have stepped it up quite a bit since last time we kicked and I thought for a second you were gonna take Rippin' Run!!! Cale, sorry Queency didn't have any size 14 Nucleus on hand. I know how much you wanted to get a new pair of kicks. It's getting close to time to retire those red rockets.

7.) Evan - Mad Propz Dude! Not only are you super stylie and sick, but you are also a very gracious host. Evan kicks completely egoless! It's like he doesn't understand just how good he is, and welcomes anyone into his circle. Very refreshing!

8.) Goldberg - Pimp palace my friend. Steve hosted the after party in his pimped out Planet Hollywood Suite. The Terminator's got nothing on Steve!!! It was awesome having someone from back in the day to shred with. It brings back good memories of a time when I could actually compete.

9.) Sunny - It was awesome to finally get to meet you. Daryl has been a huge influence on my game throughout the years and it was a pleasure to get to meet you in person. Try to stay out of trouble - put the key in a safe place.

10.) Brian Bear & Liz - Brian you have improved so much since we met in San Diego. You were bustin' a lot more "main stream" bad ass moves in addition to your usual "eye popping" madness. I believe you were completely guiltless at the Jam. And guiltless to Brian means 3 and above with a couple mobius and voids just kinda throw around like legovers. Nice man!!! Liz - Robin loves her flower bag, it looks awesome and matches her custom nucleus. Thank you!

11.) Matt & Queen - Thank you for everything!! Robin and I probably wouldn't have been able to attend if it hadn't been for you guys. Queen rolled up...literally...with a load of shoes for everyone to try. I think I saw Kyle bustin out as many 5s as he could as soon as he put them on. (and hit them all too!!!)

13.) Kam and Christina - Awesome to see you guys together. Hope you guys had an awesome time in Vegas!

14.) Ben - It was awesome getting to shred with you. Your style is very good and I thought your rakes looked clean on both sides. Keep it up and send me a video when you get your butterfly rakes down!

15.) Last but certainly not least - JIM PENSKE: Dude you are no f%#king joke! 8O 8O 8O I thought my head was going to explode. It is probably wise not to scream obscenities while Jim is trying to shred, but he wasn't dropping, even after I yelled ^%&$ *(& #$@#&^*( LOL. But seriously, I am super glad I got to finally meet you and see the "force" in person. It was like watching perfection perfected. The only thing that would have made it better for me, is if you would have at least dropped once before I did in the Rippin' Run contest.... yeah right! haha

I had my camera out on day 2 and my work (I work for The Active Network) would like me to get that footage edited and uploaded to YouTube ASAP. Thought I would do a mesh with Evan and Jim. Either one by themselves is ridiculous to watch...,but together they are an instance video.

After the Jam, I am so looking forward to Worlds!

What a great event! Much respect to Evan for putting it all together and running it all on his own. Seriously great job dude! And thank you very much for letting us all stay at your place.

It was great hanging out with old friends and making new ones :) See everybody again at worlds hopefully.

favorite highlights
-late night Sushi with Kevin, Evan and Alex
-Cale yelling in his sleep Saturday morning "he's my partner, leave him alone!!"
-Kyle drinking 3 monsters a day
-Cale using up all of Kyle's liquid nicotine
-Getting Nucleus shoes and meeting more SDs peeps
-Kyle's mom and uncle trying to convince me to convince Kyle to start working out
-Long chat with Rory about his new training program

That's all I could think of for now anyways
