Bag and Photo's

After finding a really good sand filled bag, and kicking it into retirement, I was really frustrated at the poor quality of bags from regular retailers so I decided to stitch my own. I never realised there was such a great community of people who stitch. I never realised i could be called a stitcher! (albeit a rank amateur.) But, WOW, this is fun.
This bag took me about 6 hours, mostly because I am anal about really tight stitching, don't want any leaks, and it was my first 32 panel bag (Microsuede ultra). Sadly, I am hooked, my poor wife, baby, dog, mountain bike, i think they sense a desertion coming on.
Anyway, let me know what you think. Thanks

wow, this bag is huge. the stitching looks nice, did you stitch all around the hexagons? it looks like that. if you look at the other bags in here, they have short sides on the hexagons that keeps us from stitching these extra sides! maybe check that out.

Make your hexagons triangular and you won't be an amateur anymore.

Thanks for the encouagement
Awesome, I noticed bags being made with 'triangles' as opposed to hexes, I'm def going to sew my next bag with triangles, and make it a bit smaller.
I know I could have done more research and asked more questions before i started stiching but I'm a hard head and I normally learn best by jumping in the deep end and then figuring what I've done wrong...
Thanks again.

2. try to not do "triangles", more like hexes with 3 short sides. or else you will get really weird bags, trust me i did that. also i have a bag (my very first 32) sitting here that just looks like yours here. was a hard head back then too
3. allmost everyone of the older stitchers learned the hard way, you are in good company! ^^

Very cool, but I think you went a little crazy on the gather. Hopefully it'll get floppy after your hard-knocks break-in seshies.
