washing bags

so instructions on washing each kind of bag would be much appreciated,
what i should do if its metal filled? can you wash those? and should you wash them before playing with them for the first time? because i hear thats good to do

i know sand you just need to be gentler and be wary of sand falling out
plastic pellets be a bit rough with them it doesnt matter just worry about the material

but what about for mixed filling bags?
i have a fearless 55 (tungsten) and a 32 regular abshire on the way(mixed filling, plastic and metal), so what should i do with them when i get em?

all bags -

take them in the shower, put a dot of shampoo in them, gently work the soap into it, rinse it out completely, and towel dry. Hopefully your fill is not stainful steel, or it may rust if you don't dry it enough.

No.

Wash your bags after every 3-5 footbag sessions, or unless really dirty give or take. If you have a bag with a metal filler (such as steel or a tungsten/iron mixed alloy), feel your bags to see if the fabric and fill are hardened. If so, wash/rinse immediately until clear, and towel dry after every 15-20 minutes or so to guarantee that rust does not accumulate.

just got the fearless 55 in the mail, is it considered a mini? because this is a tiny bag
and will it expand once broken in?

Ok , I have about 30 of Abshire's bags and this is what I have to offer...

As far as I understand the fearless 55 comes in different sizes. It could be a medium or one of the mini's (probably a mini). Either way it will expand after you break it in. Kick the bag about 500 to 1000 times at the beginning of your next 3 or 4 sessions and it will break in nicely. If it is a hybrid of facile and ammeretta or all ameretta, then DO NOT kick it when its wet, it will shorten the life of the bag. If its all facile then you can kick it while its wet. Oh yeah and the heavier the bag the shorter break in time. I take my new 55 mini and warm up by kicking them at the beginning of my sessions, then switch to another broken in Abshire. After about 2 weeks , they are broken in nicely, although they will start to expand right away if you KICK IT. My other bag from abshire are weighed at 70 grams and take 2 or 3 sessions of kicking to break in. They all continue to expand even though his mini is still considered a small bag, you are basically learning to shred the weight of the bag , not the outer shell. ( I LOVE THE MINI)

To wash them , using cold water and either baby shampoo or light ( non concentrated soap) wash in the sink or shower by lightly massaging the soap into the back and then rinse it completely out. Do not squeeze the bag hard in your hands to rinse it out, just massage it and never pick up the bag with your feet. I also buy about 3 fearless at a time and rotate them. If you do this , all three will last for a long time.

they actually only come in mini apparently, called freedom footbags, im sure once i get used to it and break it in it wont make a difference
