Post by philo~! »

Hey everyone,

Hopefully I will be coming to worlds again this year, I will have to start getting some money together. As its another very long trip I would like to make my time as worth while as possible, visiting a few of other parts of USA and Canada with-out to much huge expenses attached.

Any suggestions of a few amazing places to go to for a few weeks after worlds would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Rocket

because of Worlds date and co-worker vacation issue, i will most likely travel after worlds myself (i will stay in california for an extra 2-3 week after worlds). i wanted to do so before Worlds, but i doubt it will be possible. nothing is confirmed though.

could you come in Montreal before Worlds?

Santa Cruz, where Emily, Fletcher Funk, and tons of net players live is a great place to hang out in for a day or two. We'll show you a good time and probably drink copius amounts of alcohol if you like.

You are always welcome to the Washington DC area. At the moment there is me, Vince Bradley and Ryan Thomas as well as a couple of other people. Ken Somolinos might be back in this area by that time as well, though I am not 100% sure.

PORTLAND!

Reasons:
US Open, the Shred Crew, it's a beautiful city, we got a place for you to crash, and it's the right time of year.

Plus, it's just a short plane ride or a an amazing car ride to worlds afterward.

Think about it :)

Thanks guys,

All sounds like great options, and if there are footbag players there that definatelly becomes more appealing. Although I would probably be looking to some fun non footbag activities by this point as I like to see the sights where possible and I may be all footbagged out after worlds.

Also, I have some plans at the end of august so would not be able to take more time off and leave earlier to attend any other events before worlds. As much as I would like to :)

At the moment after worlds looks like I may head to Santa Cruz. Keep the suggestions comming! :)

Worlds is getting closer pretty fast!

Just trying to finalize my options, at the moment I think its going to be Worlds -> Hang out in San Fran for a day or 2 after -> Santa Cruz -> Portland (If anyone is driving back to Portland around the same time I'm leaving, i guess the 11th or 12th, with a spare seat it might be nice to see the country side along the way? Otherwise ill just fly) -> (maybe Seattle, are there any footbag players there?) -> Vancouver -> Salt Lake -> L.A. -> Home

I would have loved to make it over to the east but thought I would be spreading my time to thin at other places if I did that. Plus quite an expense making it that far just for a couple of places.

Look forward to seeing everyone soon. Any other recommendations for my trip is of course appreciated.

Cheers,

salt lake? I live 20 minutes south of there! if you need a place to chill or feel like doin somethin let me know
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.
