Ultrasuede Need advice

OK so I bought what i thought was USL but for some reason every bag I've made so far I've burned a hole thur in about 3 days at the most. So I'm wondering 3 things
1. if i order USL from Fields fabric will that fabric actually hold up
2. Where are all you guys getting that silver amaretta I've been looking for it on the internet with no luck at all so can some one point me in the right direction
3 is there any thing i can do with the material I've got to get it to last longer

Sorry for starting a new thread for this but any help would be much appreciated

fields usl is the bomb. buy some and you wont be dissappointed!
if by silver amaretta, you mean silver microsuede with the lines on it, it comes from me. I don't think anyone else has found it yet, I got it at a local fabric store.

Yeah i really need me some microsuede and i can't find any online. it s a realy cool fabric to work with. And i have never had a problom with fields usl. I have only had holes in one bag made of it before, and that was before i believed in washing my footbags.

And there is nothing i know of that will make your fabric last longer. Direct sunlight is proboly bad over a long period of time, but washing your footbags most deffinatly helps to lengthen your footbag's life.

how do you wash them????

the same way you wash your hair.

put a little bit of shampoo on it in the shower, give it a light scrubbing, make sure you get ALL the soap out so that there is no residue left, and dry it quickly, completely, and gently with a towel.

I have also heard that lukewarm water is best.... but i am not sure what water temp is best. there is also a youtube video i think. I wash mine whenver they are visibly dirty.

I wash my bags all the time

just like others described.
and, joanne's has plenty of microsuede, but the silver stuff is from this place called hancock fabrics, they only 2 things worthy of testing at the store I went to :/
