2010 US OPEN FREESTYLE FOOTBAG CHAMPIONSHIPS July 24th-26th
So unfortunately I can't make it for all of worlds (I have obligations here the 5-7th), but I am thinking that it may be worth it to head out early for the US open, attend worlds and then leave early.
One thing that will help me make my decision (it needs to be made fast; I have to talk to my boss about letting me leave the country during that time) is knowing if I had someone's place to crash at for my time over there (US open for sure, possibly worlds, but I may need to post that in a different thread...).
So, does anyone have room that I could crash on? I will bring tasty treats from Japan and probably have a loud mouth, but not too loud that you will get sick of me. (Imagine Goldilocks and the 3 bears; I am the pourage that she tries third.)
Thanks!

Liz and I will be traveling from Portland to the bay area, about 45 min out of oakland. We will have room for 2, but are not sure exactly when we are driving between the two events. If there is enough interest in a bigger carpool from USO to worlds, I might be able to get my mom's pimpin van

If I go for the first half of Worlds, I may take you up on that offer and fly home the Thursday or Friday of Worlds.brianbear wrote:Liz and I will be traveling from Portland to the bay area, about 45 min out of oakland. So I started a new thread asking how many people want to carpool from USO to Worlds. Please vote so we can make plans to accommodate everyone

Hey all,
Just some updates about the 2010 Open. We are again going to be hosting it at the Nautilus World Headquarters. For those that did not attend last year, here is what it looked like : )

We are getting some international talent this year, early confirmations include
-Wiktor Debski
-Gosia Nycz
-Anssi Sundberg
-Damien Gielnicki?
It should be fun, we are having some players come train with the Sole Purpose Group over the summer, inquire if you are interested!
More to come,
Red

Hi,
It looks like a few more internationals are planning to attend, I will post them on the list when they are 100% confirmed. Relating to this, if you are traveling from abroad (Europe, other), we at the Sole Purpose Group would like to make it easier for you by offering crash space. Just let us know in advance, and we will work to accommodate. There will also be a great (and very located) hotel right next to the site. Here is the link for the hotel;

I have to say I am very excited for this summer! More info to come!

Going to make it a yearly thing! I'm going to challenge Jim to another round of grappling!!redshredz wrote:Heh. I seem to remember a similar challenge made to Penske last year... will the outcome be any different? My Sagat won't be anywhere as kind as Jim was : )YO! Red I demand some SSFIV ACTION! Hmmm,
I have this to contribute. The part of Eric Chang is played by Kyle Hewitt, and my Sagat is represented by Boone Penske. It's a pretty accurate depiction.
