LA- SF (feb 22 - march 9 ) & NYC (march 10 - 16)

after 5 years, i'll be visiting my grandmother in LA again and then travelling some more...

Me and my girlfriend will arrive the 22nd of february and will stay in the LA area for about a week, before we head up to the bay area. to stay there for another week, visiting my cousin and my aunts and friends of ours. on the 9th of march we fly to nyc, before i leave on the 16th (my gf stays on for another week).

i'd be up for some shred in any of three cities! we'll be driving up the coast from LA to the bay area, so we might be going through santa cruz already. i don't know how much freestyle is still happening there, or whether everybody meets at stanford or in sf anyways...

i'll have a couple of things i want to do apart from visiting my family, (we might go down to tj for 2 days, if the surfs up, i definitely want to go surfing, and driving up the coast is a two day thing also). so i really don't know how much time i have, but i'm definitely up for shredding, be it LA, the bay area or NYC!

are there any regular shred meetings? still sundays in golden gate park?

NYFA will defiantly have a session or two while you are here. We always have a session on Saturday from 2-4 if the weather isn't warm enough, if it is warm then we have as many sessions as possible for as long as possible. The best way to keep in touch with everyone in NYFA is to us our email group which is:

There isn't much shred that I know of in Santa Cruz these days OR in SF. But the Standofrd crew still shreds hard weekly. I suggest that you contact Alex Dworetzky who is a member of this forum beore you drive up north to coordinate. I know they always play on Saturdays, and they have a weekday session on Stanford campus as well.

If you have any desire to play some net, Santa Cruz would be a good place to go. Or if you just want to hang out with some footbag players, Santa Cruz is a great place cause its beautiful and there are many players (mostly net tho).

Yes, anyone who plays freestyle in the bay area meets every tuesday on stanford's campus and we also shred at goldberg's mansion on saturdays. my number is 1-650-430-7381 and my e-mail is [email protected]

Steve is verrry busy so it's best to contact me and I will let you know more of the details if you want to play with some freestylers while you're in the bay area.

i'm definitely looking forward to the trip: last time i've been to the states was in 2005... so iits about time

i'll pack my net shoes, but i won't promise anything (also, playing net with me really isnt that much fun, i just play way too seldomly) i'm out of shape freestyle wise, but i've never been in shape in net so thats a different story.

so stanford and redwood city for shred in the bay area? i'll be there a tleast once!

i've heard the name jeff mudds before - i'll look for him on .org, or does anybody have a direct contact?

still some time left 'til NY... maybe we get lucky and we have a chance of playing outsides? i'll let you know again just before i'm in town, then we can when and where shred is possible!

I'm working on renting the dance studio. its located on 14th st near the corner of 6th ave. We usually get it from 2-4, we haven't booked it yet so i'll shoot you an email once we do.
