Everyday shoes?

Post by Conor McDade »

Hello, I am very new to footbag as a whole. I just got my first pair of Lavers in the mail and modded. I was going to use these shoes as an everyday shoe also. Does anyone else do this and will there be any negative effect from it? I understand it will put more wear and tear on the shoe, but I am sure I'll outgrow the shoe before it is unwearable. Thanks in advance.

You can wear your shoes all the time if you want. There are only 2 negative results that I can see. 1. Like you said, they will wear out quicker, but if you think you'll be grown out of them before that happens, then you don't have to worry about it. 2. Your shoes will probably end up looking really ugly and they may smell. So you'll be walking around with ugly, smelly shoes all day, everyday. If you're ok with that, then you don't have a problem. But, other people might...haha.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

modded lavers, once they're used, are not comfortable walking shoes.

I would suggest something else.

I like to wear my lavers for a few years before I mod them, so they're nice and broken in and choice for freestyle. I recommend you use the set you've got for playing, and get another set to wear for the next two years while you wear down the first set.

oh wait, but you said you're still growing. Well, my feet stopped growing at age 14 or something like that, so hopefully you're not too much younger than that, and you can buy a pair for the future soon.

i wear my lavers all the time, i just use this anti fungal deodorant spray every morning and they smell fine, mainly cuz i play at school as well as after, so i pretty much play all day, im also trying to break my lavers in because there new atm, i say wear them until there broken in, and then just use walking shoes, but personally i think it helps my game to have them on all the time

Exactly. I end up playing at school and before/after track practice. I am older than 14, just a late bloomer is all. Just not wearing them all the time in their bright white state. I feel like I would blind someone with how pure white they are.

hahah the "blinding lavers" joke has come up at many a tournament.

My eyes, my eyes!! I need sunglasses 8)

They look nice with dark blue jeans. That will help until they are a little less bright.

or buy some nucleus shoes.....you dont have to wait a few years to mod them as they are already made that way and they look super sexy on your feet. I would suggest the black ones.....easier to hide the dirt. women and men will want you and follow you around because of the sexiness of these shoes. lol....seriously tho....if you find yourself hesitant to cut your lavers for the first time like i was, then try the nucleus shoe out if you want.

good luck in your shred in whatever you play in.

peace

I wore my first pair of lavers every day.. I think it helped to be honest. broke in faster too. However, i got a new pair about 5 months later cause i got a pretty big hole in the bottom..

so yeah, they wear faster, just do what you want.

One good thing about being a new footbagger who wears his or her lavers all the time is that it reminds you about footbag all day long while you're in school or at work or whatever, and by the time you get out, you're totally psyched to play.
