been playing alot lately. sad fact:

my red lavers are DEAD. may they rest on my shelf in peace.

im starting to break in my new pair, i hope they are tis grand one day. im sure they will be. usually, every new pair i get becomes my 'all-time favorite" eventually, causei keep getting better. still, so many memories... oh well.

been doing some sweet stuff lately, and feel like i am gettting more consistent. also, im like totally flirting with some really hard moves. for instance, ive gotten ridiculously close to void, fog, spinning paradx whirl, and mobius alot lately. the only one that really seems realistic are void and spinning pdx whirl, but both are still a ways away... i need to get better at pdx drifter and whirl first. still, its fun to try. torques are coming along randomly... i drilled the crap out of them today, hit like 30. spinning is better after a nifty little tip courtesy of matt kemmer. fixing my ducking, and getting pretty stinking good at atomic. i think my favorite highlight today was a long run with pixie ss mirage>tap bsos. i just like the link, i guess. i should try stepping ss mirage>pixie ss mirage>tap>tapdown>rpt. that would be the sex. tapping dlo.

i miss my lady terribly. like, life isnt as good when she isnt here. i dont have a little pixie by my side making me smile every five seconds, and i want it back so badly. a ew more days, and she wont have an privacy. what dear, youre going to the bathroom? its in the other room, you say? it's only for girls? ill come with you! no, that's not weird.

had a solo session today after running out of movies to watch on my fat ass. hit some good stuff, too:

-lots and lots of flip pdx whirls... my knee is alive!!!!!!!! (evil laugh)
-thus, pdx whirl bsos, for once in a long long time.
-flip torque decided to become the cleanest thing ever... like, i wish my "strong" torque was this clean. w/e.
-lots more work on spinning. spinning clip>merkon>run i think.
-ridiculoulsy close to mobius.... whaaaa?
-almost got reactor bs
-i need to work stepping... however, managed a run w/ ripwalk and sidewalk bsos.

challenges anyone? im very lonely.

It's drifter > pdx drifter > rpt. Like a lot of things "drifter" it's hard until you hit it once and then it becomes fun and even stylie after.

oh, drifter war haha. ive never heard it called drifter daze. i should bsos pdx drifter first i think haha.

sessioned with yog today, hit some stuff:

-10 contacts of pixie shuffle>run
-pdx whirl bsos
-pixie ss whirl bsos
-some good spinning... but some bad spinning too. i think its getting better though.

im breaking in some shoes, so as of now my feet hurt really bad. but everything in life is great, because i get to see my erika tomorrow =]

i need to stitch some footbags.

had a great session with yogan today. highlights:

-lots of great, great ducking and spinning
-some sick shuffle
-one run in particular that was not rubberman, but basically should have been. atomic and stepping shuffle for six contacts, but some tapdowns and step ss mirages instead of blurs and legbeaters.
-tapping whirl
-blurry whirl bsos =]]]]]]]]]]
-first fearless link... phoenix>blurry whirl. so fucking stoked, i felt like clavens.
-a run with smoke bsos, and a pdx drifter
-fixing stepping set and atomic set
-ducking pixies is cake.

i am starting to have feelings for my new shoes, as i once did with my red lavers. this is the start of yet another rod laver romance, and i couldnt be happier about it.

so, ive been downloading like all of the early clavens videos i can find, watching them, and just loving it.

had a short session just now, and just wanted to make a few comments:

-if i focus, my spins are perfect. hell, if i focus, everything is. focus.

-slowing down my delays helps tremendously. pausing, especially on clippers, gives me time to prep for the next move.

- i need to hold my right clipper more like my left, as my stepping with it isnt as good as my left... sometimes its fine, but its not quite identical, which is what i want.

-ducks should be quick and concise, as erik chan and anssi demonstrate.

ill try to get some real highlights out of my next real session, me and yog are supposed to play this weekend. so stay tuned.
