amiright? I mean, just look at that form, that precision! Anywho, anyone know the new Pokemon games: HeartGold & SoulSilver? Well, it comes with a Pokewalker which is basically a tamagotchi/pedometer. I'm really enjoying it since now I can play 2 things I love at the same time! Yes, I still love Pokemon.

Oh, come on now! Who's to say you have to stop loving something because you get a certain age. If that was the case I'd refuse to grow up. Seriously, though, has anyone played the new Pokemon games? I think it's super bad ass I can play footbag and easily rack up tons of steps on the Pokewalker. I've had mine for only 10 days and have 110,000 steps. All my other friends have had theirs for at least a month and have acquired only half as much. Thanks to footbag I'm putting them to shame.

P.S. Pikachu's my favorite with gengar following close behind.

Does the step counter thing affect the game somehow?

I've only played the original Pokemon Red. I've actually been replaying it lately though. And rewatching every episode of the anime

There are like 300 episodes. I am kind of too stubborn to accept any of the pokemon after the original 150-whatever. My favourite is Dragonair!

With the Pokewalker you can choose to take one from your game and put it on there. 1 step equals 1 experience point -- but you can only get one level per time you put it on the Pokewalker. Every 20 steps you get 1 watt, or currency. With that you can get more Pokemon and items and stuff. It's definitely a fun bonus to have.

Ah, Pokemon Red, what nostalgia. I want to go back and play through it just for reminiscent purposes. If you have a hard time accepting the original 151, just wait until 5th gen comes out (It's already been announced in Japan).

Yeah, it's for DS. It's really awesome going back and exploring the Kanto region. They've kept pretty much everything intact and accurate as it was in Red/Blue, but everything's been revamped. Just overall an amazing experience.

I was thinking a while back how it would be so dreamy to have the games redone with, like .... graphics. Then I wouldn't even care about the new Pokemon. It would be so much more enjoyable! Is DS online? Connecting with cables to trade and battle is dumb.

I seriously can't even begin to explain how awesome it is! You'd definitely be amazed at how awesome the Pokemon sprites are. And, yes, it's online. No more cables! That's how I got my Japanese gengar. XD

Well... yeah. Pokemon is for kids, I don't think there is any debate on that. The ol' games are alright, but the themes and the show are definitely for small children. I wasn't really insulting anyone. I understand the value of nostalgia for some people. I'm just stating that if you are still stimulated by something meant for children as an adult, by all means go for it. Although, I suspect there may be better things out there.

Insinuating that someone's physical age has increased while their mental age has not is an insult. ("Well, if your mind hasn't progressed then by all means nerd it up!") Also stating that adults couldn't / don't love Pokemon is an ignorant, blanket statement. Both of these come off as insulting (and yes, I read and reread what you wrote, much to my chagrin). I've had the pleasure of reading your posts on many other threads and your tone is often borderline insulting.
