Slow Motion Shadow Hack

Post by QuantumBalance »

Wakarimasu ka?

I bring to your attention the idea of shadow hack, which some of you may know: shredding without a bag for the purpose of working on form and ease of execution.

I further the idea by suggesting that you try it in slow motion with a drop being when you lose your balance.

With limited testing I have concluded this is a nice training tool.

Yeah totally.. this IS like water shred... without the water!

I guess the only difference is.. in water worlds the resistance for MOST of your muscles.. BUT NOT in water works a different set of muscles because you have to use all your minute adjusters to stay balanced.. YAY!

I find both shadow and water shred helpful. Shadow shred, especially thinking of losing your balance as a drop, can be extremely useful. Before I try a sick three or a string of tricks that I dont already have dialed, I "shadow" through the motions before I go 8) 8)

How do I go about picking up a shadow bag once it's dropped? Do I just pretend it didn't drop, and continue shredding like nothing ever happened? Or do I bend over and pick up an invisible footbag and put it back into play with an invisible self-serve? Are toe scuffs acceptable?

Don't try this in public. People will think you're a bit looney... and it'll be worse if you try to explain yourself. "What are you doing?" "I'm playing footbag in slow motion and every time I lose balance, that's a drop" (you smile at the bystander as he/she stares you down, completely unsure of what you just said, and slowly walks away, continuing to stare at you) :P

Cool suggestion though, I like doing this with spinning ducking tricks. It feels really sick. It also makes it kinda fun if you open your eyes really wide and follow the "bag" with your just your eyes (0_0)

Or add the extra slomo time to the stall to make up -- that's sure to make symp tricks harder.

Shadow Shred is how I learn pretty much everything.

I pick up shadow bags with my awesome telekinesis powers.
