Got off work a little while ago. Kicked some footbag for about 10-15 minutes in nucleus without my spenco insoles which felt weird. couldn't do pixie sets very well but everything else felt pretty good. The weird thing about not playing very much footbag, is that you forget which side is your strong side, and so there's no mental block when it comes to flipside tricks. The flipside tricks are easier and cleaner.. except for the dreaded flip double overs.

Hit whirling swirl>pdx torque>spinning swirl. Was just trying for the first link but zooming is so ingrained in that osis that I instinctively did a spin. yay.

Also hit symposium pickup or symp quantum set>plant>ss toe (I guess the plant is implied with symposium but whatevs). Never really thought of that trick before. It was fun. Other than that it was all knee delays, 2adds, and ducks.

Getting a little bit of a belly and some boobs are sprouting. gained 15-20lbs in the last half year. Need to exercise more but I tend to bail on these healthy ideas. I do them for a week and then sit on my ass eating entire pizzas and drinking coffee and beer. Ate an entire pizza for dinner last night... and another tonight. yay!

Reading some of the books from my old philosophy classes that we only brushed upon. Immanuel Kant isn't as much of a dick as I thought he was.

edit: was deep in thought and looked up. the milan benda cali special was playing. If you watch his head, he breathes like a fish. Now the shred can't be taken seriously because I'm laughing the whole time.

So i haven't pooped in a few days, and just had one single turd that was easily 1 - 1.5 feet long long... and I mean easily. Tried to take a picture again, but the water was too murky from days of urine. lol.

Bought a midi keyboard today. For some reason it won't record into fruity loops but I can still do unrecorded play through that program. Had a fun creepy dark circus solo jam. Sequenced out some ambient pads and clicky reverbed minimalistic "drums", figured out some midi lines, sequenced them out onto the program, and then alternated between jamming out on the guitar and the midi for about 3 straight hours. Was hella fun.

Speaking of hella, check out the band Hella. Been listening non-stop for the last 2 weeks. The new album is kinda lame imo since they added lyrics.

Thinking about going to the east coast champs. Is it mostly net? If so, I'm even more down. Haven't kicked much but am pretty sick of freestyle. Want to learn net but absolutely no one plays in Montana. Haven't played since the last post.

gonna shoot some pool tonight. Woo! trying an entirely new way of holding the cue that I'm not used to yet. such a n00b but am loving the game.

Great facts on Montana. I love that kind of stuff. Interesting fact about Boise: it's illegal to fish from the back of a camel within city limits. Speaking of Boise, I heard you might be thinking of moving down. I'll be living in Moscow in the fall, but it would be great to have you in the Gem State. I kick with Jim and Zeb quite often. Today was no exception.

Saul called me the other day with one of those burn-but-not-a-burn unfortunate circumstance jokes. Most of the message was incoherent, but in ended with "the temperature was NOT OPTIMUM." I laughed. I'll probably call him back with one pretty soon.

I actually dubbed a tape of a hold your horses (its the fucking best) last night and played today at school before class. I got interviewed for the school paper about footbag and they took some picture of me playing.

Post some tracks with the new midi keyboard bro main. Oh and you need to move somewhere man, it's time to get out of Montucky for a bit.

Props on the interview. post what they say. You have a rad way of looking at footbag that I concur with, but other kickers get awkwardly offended by it.

Gave Hella another shot after you told me about them again. Actually listened to 'Hold Your Horse Is' and the Spencer Siem half of the split album. Good sequence. Got super into Hella. Also gave Don Caballero another shot thankfully. canned his first few albums because I'm trying to monitor my itunes/ipod music intake to stuff that won't just sit on my conputer forever. If there's too many albums from one artist, I won't listen to them all, so may as well delete some shit. Hella's discog is on there for sure tho... aside from their new album.

edit: and solved the no record fruity loops program by pirating ableton again. fun program for midi controllers.

jk, fuck having kids. Overpopulation + my dislike for children = murder. that's why I only date girls that already have kids. lol

on that note: Ran into this girl that I always see drinking downtown. Started hitting on her. She asked me out on a date. Later, I found out she was a 23 yr old with 5 kids. pretty much stopped hanging out with her. If u have 5 kids running around at home while you're out getting wasted 5 nights a week, wtf!

These guys arent exactly cheap, but they make ableton 10x more awesome, worth every penny.

androo: watched a vid of that machine a long time ago. Still figuring out midi. It's hella confusing compared to what I'm used to.

Did some freestyling yesterday. lots of old and a few new combos. some fun ones were symp quantum opp legover>datw>atomic muted clip>string and whirling butter>symp whirling swirl>string. Torques were a lot closer to my body than usual. Almost all of them were caught on my ankle crank. torque>blur bsos. footed diving muted swirl bs while dinking around. still can't hit regular swirl hardly at all. flipped out over drifter>swirl>rpt and ripwalk>swirl>rpt tho. oh yeah, also got xbdy rake>inspinning osis and toe inspin pdx mirage for the first time.

Dude, Russian Circles are the fucking RAFFISHIT!! Holy crap man. Thanks for the torrent links, that is CLUTCHCARGO broseph! Cool to hear that you found them and dig them. They are pretty fucking cool. I think the Raye brothers know about them and like them too (they are a Chicago band after all).

If you like them check out Tia Carrera. Basically an Austin version of Russian Circles. Haven't used my car in 1.5 weeks, have made no waste other than 3 frozen chimichangas in plastic baggies that i had a weakness for today and toilet paper (saving my beer cans to make stoves like posted above but the tape and packaging for utility knife will make waste), hand washed my own clothes with borax in the tub, and made my own toothpaste with cinnamon, baking soda, and tea tree oil. Will also make my own shampoo but haven't needed to wash my hair since I buzzed it.
