if they still have your size you might want to get at least one pair before they are gone forever. The shoes are great but more care than lavers.
Quantums come already modded and feel great, but the shoe is not as durable as the laver and the soles need to be re-glued alot of times. the fabric on the toe is also not as durabale as the lavers. HOWEVER, I LOVE THE QUANTUMS and just bought 4 pairs to keep. With a little glue and some love these are great shoes. They are very soft and are my favorite shred shoe. The Q3s are different than the Q1s. I liked both.

Lavers are probably the best buy if you only wanted to buy one shoe that you can shred in and it will last way longer. 8)

alright, i already own a pair of lavers, but id like a secondary pair of shred shoes as well, so ill buy them, plus lavers seem to not like my feet, they never fit right no matter what size they are

btw, why the hell does every pair of quantums get discontinued as soon as its released?

the qm's were always a limited edition series, mainly because they were "work in progress". the revenues (and player feedback) from one series were used to improve the next generation. unfortunately we were never able to solve the whole quality control issue with the chinese manufacturers. therefore we decided to stop production of the quantum series altogether. the last version was the qm03 of which there are two production run. one was recalled because of bad glueing of the soles to be replaced by the second, better quality one (sometimes referred to qm 3.1). that is the only version of which there are still a few pairs to be found @freedomfootbag or planetfootbag.

They seem to essentially be a Laver clone, which are playable out of the box (no modding). It's been said that they grip better than Lavers. They have thin material on all surfaces. The sole is more durable than lavers, and grippier. The toe walls are pushed farther back than lavers, and they arent stitched on! I like 'em a lot.

Even if you do get this pair, it will be very difficult to get them in the future, and you will be used to a set of shoes that you cannot get any more.

I would go with lavers if I was you.

I loved the quantum 3's even though i had a pair a size too small for me...
I just ordered a new pair for indoor only play, hopefully will make em last a while. also, the sole is not more durable than lavers with my experience, and less grippy (the quantum soles become very smooth after some shred).
I would say go for it since you already have lavers. if i found a pair for cheap i would scoop em fo sho.

Try using hairspray for extra grip on quantum soles for when you use them for indoor shred. I think people who do figurative dance professionally (ballet) do that to their shoes to add extra grip on their soles.

got the quantums in the mail, and after getting used to them i love them, but harder to do clippers but it makes me do all my tricks cleaner and keeps me from being lazy with my sets plus i can do longer strings with minimal effort, i may buy another pair just to have for when these die
