last night, i just wasn't feeling it for footbag, so I played hoops instead. it was nice. i turned on the court light, turned the radio on, and shot jump shots. Really ran around and practiced like I used to back in the day. It was nice. I tell ya, I can still shoot lights out when I find my groove.
thanks ian!

holy shit, thanks guys
putting in my notice tomorrow, starting my new job on june 1st. i'll have 10 days off between gigs to clear my head. this is my top choice job, great industry, great job responsibilities, career path. etc. etc. It's the right move.
we were going to accept the other offer which would have moved us to Harrisburg area. But that wasn't perfect. This instead will relocate us near to West Chester PA area. We love that area and it's an easy relocation.
So happy right now.

what's up guys
been so busy. our house is going on the market sunday night (most house searches occur on Monday morning) so we've been touch up painting, cleaning, fixing little things etc. not much time for much else.
and, sadly, very very sadly, my close friend lost his battle with cancer yesterday. He leaves a beautiful wife and two children. It's so sad I can barely type it without breaking down right here. the viewing is tonight and will be an absolute heart crusher. funeral tomorrow, also will be unbelievably horrible event.
that said, it's important to stay within your own life. So I got out there and kicked through the sadness last night. it was very weak, but I was out there. I'm so close to making it through lots of responsibility and stress and everything else, that I really want to keep playing because I think on the other side, I'll be able to really enjoy it again. But for now, just happy to get out there at all.
also, talked on the phone with sunil yesterday. it was really great to catch up with him after all these years. and in a weird "small world" type of thing... my new job is with a medical manufacturing company, and sunil uses their products in his job. so he knows my company. I might even have circumstances where I'm presenting products to him. he's been in the surgical lab in my new office building. how cool. anyways, good to be back in touch with an old friend.
in other news, i bought this (if you don't know, this is an extremely good table saw):

Well, this past weekend was as rough as you'd expect, but you have to move on.
So, shredded with nick in the barn last night. Good times. Played hard, played well, for about an hour.
Sunil is coming to shred with me in the barn on Friday afternoon. How cool.
No East Coasts for me.

hey everyone, long time no post
been kicking a lot and have been improving steadily. playing with nick, he's a really nice guy and is working hard at it. unique style too. so that'sl been fun. drew martin has made it here a few times too. also fun. he's better than me in totally opposite ways of what I can normally do, so it's a nice push.
i've been at my new job a month now. i love it. my company does important work that improves lives, and that means a lot to me. and I'm surrounded by smart, professional people. so that has made life so much better.
house sale isn't going well at all, housing market sucks. luckily, I made my house cool as hell along the way, so it ain't a bad place to be stuck.
been accumulating woodworking tools. hoping to make a bunch of stuff over next winter.
all this has also reduced stress to a happy place where we are enjoying the summer, hanging with the kids, finally doing really good again on weight goals/health goals.
keep on keepin' on (and if any of you fucking slackers wanna come shred with me sometime, DO it)

hey modified, long time no talk. not a lot of time for forums lately. got an iphone as my company phone, which is sweet. so i tend to do most of my surfing on that (i.e. not good for typing blog entries really).
been playing a lot, mostly with nick, sometimes on my own. although this past week was a full week of intense job training, so I basically fell into bed each night. going to a beer festival in selinsgrove with my wife and best friend today. she's wearing a little black sun dress and looks really pretty. i just look normal. ha ha. anyways, for the first time ever, the kids will not be with us for one night. it's a much needed night to ourselves for frivolous fun. but we'll miss the little buggers even though it's just about 20 hours apart.
kids are 3 and 5 years old now (basically.. keegan's birthday coming up soon). we got emily a moon bounce for her birthday and we now set it up in the barn on rainy days. effing cool.
anyways, looking forward to kicking again next week. i'm into swirls right now because nick has that skill and it makes it look fun.
my woodshop is almost ready to start working... got all my tools pieced together from craigs list finds.
house selling going slow.. found my dream house, but can't buy it before we sell
see ya
