I'm supposed to apply for a career tonight. Basically I'd be a case manager for developmentally disabled children and create Individualized Family Service Plans using direct home-based intervention, education, and support services; figure out sociological differences based on the disability, maintain records of families, and try and get the client to adapt as best as possible to every day life.
...So basically I'd be telling parents how to raise their own children which I morally feel wrong doing. Granted I know a lot about these disorders with my degree and some families aren't fit to take care of these children, but it's nothing that these families can't learn by spending a few hours on the internet and talking to a counselor which they're probably already doing so fuck that, I'm just gonna drink beer, blog, and listen to music.

I just started work here on the Nez Perce National Forest the other day, and there is talk of going up to Missoula on one of these weekends. I am thinking about the weekend of June 5th, which is the same weekend that Ty and Jackie are visiting from North Dakota. It would be nice to come and visit for the first time since last year's freestyle jam (I'm wearing the t-shirt right now). If you wanted to make a trip down to Fenn Ranger Station, that would be cool too, just bring some beer and we'll drink heavily. 831 Selway Road, Kooskia, ID is the address if you want to GoogleMaps that shit. Too bad your job is less than desirable. I just met a guy the other day that said he had worked at opportunity resources and said that he knew you (did you get a fixed gear bicycle, btw?). Gonna move in with some friends at the beginning of June. Still thinking about moving out of town, and it's a month to month lease which makes it more likely.

Just continued a ritual where at least once a summer we set up lawn chairs on a buddy's roof, climb up, and drink.

Gin is such a strange drink for me. I feel 100% cognitively there but my body won't move how it should and I can visibly reocognize that I'm seeing double. Usually my social skills and understanding go first. strange

Been practicing barefoot datw out-in>opp toe>rpt barefoot which I've been doing for the past 2 years. Can finally do strongside in>out datw every once in awhile, flipside seems impossibly awkward but clipper barrages are strong on that side. Legitimately hit strong entourage on the strong side though. i've done it once before but it was so under me that I couldn't tell if it was clean or not.

Haven't kicked in about 3 weeks. hate playing by myself, but need to start due to the us open.

Got the complete series of Daria. Used to watch that show constantly while growning up. Only partially understood the dry humor at the time.


Also got ahold of 'the head' which is another old mtv cartoon I used to watch right before 'aeon flux' would come on.


Reminds me a lot of my childhood. These shows plus 'The Maxx', Beavis & Butthead', and 'The Brothers Grunt' were all old twisted mtv cartoons I'd watch from having older sisters

Finally getting used to binary copy files (.bin), decompressing archival lossless media formats (.arc), and their use in virtual drive formats with .iso programs. Took me about a month and a half to finally figure out how to use my versions of assassins creed and resident evil 5. yay. Kind of weird, cuz it probably would've taken an hour or so if I would've grown the balls to mess with that program more. was worried about it wasting memory space by placing fragmented files everywhere.

Just played footbag with Jere. Had the most epic start, and then it was all downhill from there.
-1st run: atw>rip off my metal snap button shirt and let out a roar>blurriest

did about a half hour of freestyle, and an hour of silly tricks. started doing pixie chode hits. would be cool to do a magellan with a chode hit in the middle. also got swirl>whirl>swirl bs which is super hard for me cuz i suck at regular swirls. also got swirlx6 bs. woo! also got bsos zoid set pdx mirage and blurriest>infinity swirl. Tried messing around with ducking diving, diving ducking, and diving weaving. Footed stepping far muted rake>fairy gyro mirage.

practiced a new trick too. you start with a bag on each foot. do a rooted set simultaneously with each leg, and catch each bag on their ss rooted knees so it looks like you're squatting for a huge dump when they delay. couldn't get it though.

I'm also the heaviest I've ever been: 162lbs. my body feels natural at 145lbs. It was hard to throw all that weight around.

edit: On a weird kick of giving backhanded comments to youtube videos. i.e. 1 given to a Korn video: "Who would've thought that getting c's in math class would pay off for these guys while they were in high school?"

So I'm definitely coming to Missoula this weekend for a few days. I should show up on Friday night, and leave sometime Monday afternoon and would be great to kick at some point. I think I will have to miss Ty and Jackie when they come through on the 5th (I'll be in Boise), but it will be good to see everyone that I know in Missoula regardless. Just got done hanging out with Riley. We had a few beers with Jeremiah and chatted about life which turned into a long pants sick trick circle. Riley started it all off with step ss whirl. he also hit food, step dive osis, and step ss blender. Jere was trying toe inspinning ducking, spinning swirl, and flying knee kicks. I tried toe zulu zoid but missed. managed to hit barefoot heel delay, alternating knee delay, zoid pdx mirage, and tried zoid pdx dlo but missed several times.

MFA is getting back together next weekend for the first time in quite awhile. Riley will try and be there from Idaho, Evan will be in town from Portland, and Ty will be here from North Dakota. All for Seth's wedding who also is a Missoula Footbag Alliance member.

I'm moving across town on Monday and realized that if it wasn't for random decorative things and my 4 pieces of furniture, I could pack everything into 3 medium sized boxes and one garbage bag of clothing (that excludes instruments and computer)

It's my 3rd night at the new house. It's completely opposite of what i'm used to, so struggling to get a good nights sleep. Went from having a silent, cold basement bedroom with no sound and no windows on a queen sized mattress to an upstairs very warn bedroom 20yds from the train station, with a big window and roomates who like to blast music at 4:30am, and 6am to get ready for their oncoming day while I lay in a twin matress after 5am. need to get used to that.

It's also kind of strange because it's with 3 people that I've known since 2004. They're the friends that you hang out with a lot, but don't know anything about their personal lives. So I guess I'm a good fit because I generally don't talk about my personal life a whole lot with my friends unless I've known them since middle school or have instantly hit it off with them at footbag tournaments. Don't know why it's so hard for me to open up with people. There's the select few which I open up with like James randall. and there are people I'm close to opening up with like tom kotsakos, the idaho crew, bob riefer, zach jauner, andrew grant, cale mccoy, Evan Gatesman and erik chan who I really don't know very well. So it's a weird dichotomy between people I should know well, and people I know from footbag who I feel really comfortable with.

Have a full internet connection for pretty much the first time ever. Yay!That's pretty neat. Been watching a lot of movies online. Played multiplayer online games for the first time since 1999. Got voted off the first game, and kicked off the second before it even started. reminds me of why I don't play multiplayer. If only my copy of splinter cell conviction worked with online play.

Kicked last night. was pretty fun. I'm at about 40 percent of where I was at worlds 2007 but have some new tricks under my sleeve and plan on playing more. Need to download a bpm tracker so I can find a routine song that has the same timing as 'thriller'. managed tomahawk>pdx torque>blurry drifter>string. the rest was bops and practice at clip barrage. I used to do 45 degree angles with my thighs which made them deep, but extremely inaccurate. went to 90 degree angles which is much more consistent, but not as clean.

That sucks that the new roomy sitch is weird. Personally, I have a tendency to not pay any mind to friends that I don't connect with well. I'm sort of a dick though. Hopefully it chills out. Playing loud music at 4am is fucking ridiculous if it continues to happen frequently. The occasionally drunken jam is nice, but not every (other)night.

Just updated to Windows 7. Weee! Vista can only use up to 2 processors and I have a quad core, so it's pretty fun.

Had the first Campus session of the year with Jere. Strings are starting to get longer again. It was a weird session. Everything felt really deep, except for flip double overs.

Had a whirr where the bag went up to my ribs after the first dex. Had a really deep whirlwalk right after that dexed at the knee. All my other ones have been very thin.

Also worked on 3 add links that I've never thought of before like drifter>symp whirl. Nothing spectacular but it's fun to hit new links.
