Help with two stitch technique
Help with two stitch technique
I was hoping someone who has experience like Matt Cross doing the two stitch.
I was wondering:
which side you start your first thread through, like pent towards you or hex towards you.
after finishing a side how you continue to the next side?
thanks a lot for any advice

what ever you are doing is not a two stitch if what you are saying happens
Perhaps the name is misleading, for a two stich there are actually 4 stitch motions starting from hex facing you it goes out(away from you)-in(towards you)-out-in
hope that helps

Take careful consideration about the corners on the pents. Sometimes if I leave too much flange on those areas and do a tight/semi-tight gather, that area won't be well covered and I end up having holes that leak fill.
Someone should post pics on how a two-stitch should look like from the inside out. I understand you need a deep bite to make it work, but the corners give me he most trouble whenever I make a 2-stitch bag.

i'll try and take some pics, i'm about to start a 2 stitch. for what it's worth, that's my actual template for 2 stitch bags, and for no particular reason when i made it i made the pents' corner gaps the same as the width of the stitches. (the 3 stitch is old, i only used it 2 or 3 times and didn't really like it)

I think I get it now. The bleedhole stitch should be adjacent to the pentagon corner, or at least meet the corner. I think I was overshooting the bleedhole stitches in my technique quite a bit.
