you guys are awesome. thanks for being there for me.

monday my doc called me and said he thought it was malignant but that he was going to run a few more tests...

he called me today to tell me ITS BENIGN! good lord, i was fucking falling apart. i go in a few weeks (day before i head up to chicago) for a pap smear and an ultrasound to check for cysts. i have faith that everything is going to be alright. im still scared, but i know now that i can handle whats coming.

cory and i are back together and trying to work things out. a lot has to change. and this is good. i will tell you what though... if i get this job in chicago i will not hesitate to move up there and accept it.

my knee is feeling A LOT better! ive been doing exercises... and looks like im going to really be trying hard with footbag soon. ill start slow and with basics (everything i did was pretty much basics anyway haha). i have a lot of goals for the near future... and a lot of motivation. i feel like im getting a second chance with life and everything else. its refreshing.

so thank you guys. for really caring. you kick ass.

I was searching for posts relating to knee surgery and came across this blog. Then started reading back on the posts and just gotta say...wow, you've been through a lot.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing better, and with your positive attitude, I'm sure you'll be back in no time.

In case you're wondering, i'm not very active on the forum and have only been kicking for a bit over a year, so we're probably at the same level now that you're recovering. But I just wanted to stop by and wish you a speedy recovery.

BTW, your blog is very reassuring. I'm gonna have a knee surgery in the near future (nothing as serious, but I'm just worried how much practice time I'll lose), so I'm glad to know there are others on the same boat that are doing well.

thanks man, i really appreciate it! unfortunately we arent on the same boat... i ended up not needed the knee surgery and just doing physical therapy... but keep your hopes up... there are A LOT of footbaggers who have had multiple knee surgeries (im thinking of sebastien off the top of my head) and they end up being amazing kickers anyway.

i have AMAZING news...

so this time next week i will be in chicago for an interview at energyBBDO... i got an email from the guy that i have been in contact with from there yesterday AND (drumroll please!) he is setting me up an interview at ANOTHER agency in town!!! the agency is cramer-krasselt!!! energybbdo does jim beam ads, orbit gum ads, canadian club ads, etc... and the big client for c-k is corona! i am blownnnnn away!

other than getting ready for my trip, i have been riding my bike to work up my knee muscle and ive been doing basic stuff as far as kicking goes. i still need to work on my stamina, but thatll come with more exercise. ive also been laying out for a tan and working on my portfolio.

OH!!!

AND IM WORKING ON A NEW SITE FOR MYSELF...

Well shit Holly, you sure have been through quite a bit! I'm glad things are turning out great though! I was going to say that I'm actually in Murfreesboro for work in Nashville. I'm not sure how long I'll be here but at the least two more weeks. Maybe a month and a half. I don't know yet but if you want to meet up at some point I can basically go anywhere as my gas is expensed. So whenever you get back from Chicago, Good luck on the interview by the way!, just let me know what's up and if you'd like to chill at all! Have fun in Chicago!

YEAH dude! That sounds amazing! I get back Sunday... I'll send ya a message!

Getting really pumped. I get this feeling that I won't be able to sleep tonight from all the excitement of the trip.

Kicked a few times recently. It gets really boring working on silly boring tricks, so I have no updates or stats... but boring Holly working on boring fundamentals. Mostly working on my hop and posture.

Matt Cross and I are currently working on a project together... Doing some cover songs!

Pengpeng and I are working together on a logo for a company she's co-running... a pirate tattoo machinery company. Super excited about it and really happy to be in touch with P2 once again!

Doing a website with David Clavens as well... for his magic career. I'm really happy with the direction it is going in and also excited to work with Dave on something sweet.

Somehow I have to find the time to make 2 footbags before tomorrow AND pack.

back in nashville and i have so much to do! looking for a job and doing freelance is taking up all my time.

good news though... looks like i might be doing some work for an undisclosed footbag company. can we say awesome website? yes, please.

so freakin sore from last week/weekend. really enjoyed seeing everyone again and kicking. interview went very well and hopefully everything will start falling into place. chicago guys are the shit, and i cant wait to be a part of that. ive been getting behind on footbag orders... this is unintentional. i just need to get a wittle more discipwined.

been digging the black keys new album lately. brothers. check it out.

being single again is working out well... i can finally focus on some stuff i needed to get done. also helps me focus on the job hunt.

i have a phone interview in about 20 minutes with a company in chicago for a print design position. i am really nervous but hopeful that this will work out. im really excited and ready to finally get settled in a career and a life.

havent kicked this week... plan on doing so tonight after the sun goes down (its super hot here... like... crazy sticky humid). the plan is to work on my flip clipper until im beyond bored, then work on string length.

this weekend is going to be one i have to stay diciplined for... i need to make 4 or 5 footbags, pirate logo for pengpeng, splash page for david clavens, look for chicago jobs, get the house cleaned up, and spend time with my dad on sunday.

its hard to keep your head up when people keep pushing it down... but im gonna kick ass and get this job and move and be freakin happy... even if it means being aggressive about it (last resort).

Good luck with your job hunting.
