Hey Nick I didn't think I'd be able to make it to US Open and Worlds, but when I saw my name on the car seat reserved list I had to make it happen. Still want to confirm that.

I also need crash space. Is there a corner or couch I can sleep in?

I will likely buy my plane ticket tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity..
So many people will be attending U.S. Open this year from out of the U.S.A. -- what happens if a U.S.A. player doesn't even place in the top 3? Is the U.S.A. Champion only chosen from U.S.A. competitors?

I'd say no, the champion can come from anywhere since it is an "Open." If it was the US championships it would be a little different. Tennis has the US open as well and anyone can win.

On a side note, unfortunately I wont be attending this year. I had a great time last year and recommend that if you can make it you should.

Well, it's shaping up to be an exciting summer for sure. Here are drawing nearer to the 2010 US Open, here are some more details;

We will be hosting two main events, some other events might break out, but initially here are the majors;

Performance Routines (Open, Women's, Intermediate)
Circle (One division)

Again this year we are focusing on having fun, putting on a great and professional event, and prepping the players for Worlds the following week. The Water Temple Jam will be on Monday, and the rest of the week will be footbag mania. Here is our initial schedule;

Friday:
7pm-9pm -Registration at Red's House, Portland

Saturday: (Nautilus Sports Facility, Vancouver WA.)
1pm -Performance Routines Round 1(Intermediate-Women's-Open)
2:30pm -Circle Round 1

Sunday: (Nautilus Sports Facility, Vancouver WA.)
1pm -Performance Routines Finals (Open, Women's)
2:30pm -Circle Finals
3:30pm -Best 3 (Intermediate, Women's, Open)
430pm -Awards Ceremony

Monday: (Keller Fountain Park SW 3rd Ave & Clay St, Portland)
2pm -Water Temple Jam

Anyhoo, more info to come for sure. As in past years, this year again we will be displaying some new fun things, some phase 2 prototype stuff from Fourkast. Look forward to seeing everyone at the event!
More info to come,
Red Husted

hey portland footbagers. if i make the effort to come to us open, would there be a chance for me to get some floor space to sleep for the week till worlds? i am having the chance to get a last minute flight and i need answer pretty quick since i have to get my budget together. getting a week of "free" sleep space would be a big saver on said budget. i promise to be very polite and clean and i will get you something cooked :)

Hey gang,
Also a note on music, at registration I will be collecting it and will only be uploading songs to my laptop. Thumb drives work best for this. The US Open is less than a month away, then on to Worlds!
Good times,
