Regular abshire vs. Abshire mini?

I have been playing footbag for about half a year and I have learned the basic two adds, and some basic three adds. I learned this with a Facile Juice and a Juice Pro that I bought before finding out about Mr sandbags and stitchers like Abshire. I was looking at buying an Abshire, but am unsure of which size to get. I do like smaller bags, but I have heard the mini is less durable and made for the more advanced player. Based off of experience, how do they compare?

My favorite abshire model is the amaretta Fearless 55.

if you like smaller bags go with a mini or fearless 55. I found that the regular expanded a lot. (To 3/ 3.5 inches) But you can't go wrong...

also, consider contacting Richie directly (he has posted in the FOR SALE forum among a ton of other places), tell him where you're at in your game and where you would like to go with it, and he can pick a bag for you out of his stock that will be perfect. You might even have a few different color / pattern option.

Thanks. I'll get an Abshire mini because id rather not have a bag that will get much larger than 2". Is the Fearless 55 really worth 40 bucks?

Imo almost ANY bag made by an experienced stitcher/footbagger is worth it. They have played many years and KNOW what makes a good bag, and a PRIME example of that fact is richies bags. Fearless 55 worth it? Hell yes it is.

It will be very hard to get my parents to order off of a forum, so I might just buy it from freedom footbags. Are those abshires a good weight or should I stick with matt cross's 40 50 60 70 rule?

if they werent a good weight why would he sell them? His bags are a good weight and made for freestyle, they are good. End of story

yo dude,

most abshires are too light for my preferences. However, adding more weight to a footbag is as easy as cutting a straw into a funnel, putting the funnel in a bleed hole, and filling the bag with heavy fill through a straw. Fearless 55s are a good weight to start, in my opinion.

Lots of people love them as they are.

So, that said, weight is the last thing you need to worry about.

In fact, you've got nothing to worry about. Pick an abshire that looks pretty, add more weight after you've tried it if you prefer, and go from there. You can't go wrong.
