Its simple dude, if you want to play freestyle footbag, your going to need lightweight, thin shoes, that have support, that allows you to catch the bag, and helps you progress, I know you've said 10 million times you dont care, about being good or not, but what im saying is, you'll be nothing compared to even a tiltless player on this forum without them (fyi tiltless means the tricks are fairly easy )

So either stop being a girl about this and trolling everyone on this forum, or GTFO cause your being a little ridiculous.

Really, Zeb? If I want to play freestyle footbag, I need a certain kind of shoe? That's funny, because this guy doesn't need ANY shoes, and he seems to be doing rather well without them... Fancy that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G_rh82IQcw&NR=1

Now fuck off.

Perhaps the problem is that those who insist lavers are required just suck too much to do well without them?

Hey Magus86, you are obviously a fat piece of shit. If you are true, I again praise you as the best footbag troll of all time. I swear you rival the forgotten Carl Winslow. Prove me wrong without saying "I never said..." you lying sack of shit. Thank you for making modified interesting, but kindly fuck off.

Don't ever tell Zeb Jackson to fuck off. That's how I know you are a fake ass, neckbeard basement dweller . There is no way any honest person can believe your bullshit "I am picked on boowoo baby I stay posi bullshit". Without internet reference, you wouldn't know who Cody Rushing is. I bet it took you a couple hours to find out about him to defend yourself on some moot point to claim pseudo-elitism. Quit trolling and admit you have never even played footbag before, never even talked to a girl, and you're just so fat that you can't even stand up for more than a couple minutes without breaking a sweat and wanting to jerk off to Link's hairless balls.

If I find out this is Kyle, I'm going to kick your ass dude. lol

Hey man, don't be pushing your fantasies about Link's balls on me.

lol, it took me hours? how hard is it to type "footbag" into the search bar on youtube and click on some videos? psuedo-elitism, eh? I never said I can do more than basic kicks and stalls, but whatever... Anyway, Zeb said that a certain kind of shoe is required to play footbag, and clearly there is a video of someone playing freestyle pretty damn well without any shoes at all. Therefore, Zeb's statement about said shoes is clearly incorrect.

I do not live in a basement, I was playing footbag a few hours ago, have a fucking awesome supportive and non-bitchy girlfriend who is everything I've been looking for, and can definitely stand for more than a couple minutes, as I work at a job where I'm on my feet 90-95% of the time, and the only time I the thought of Link's balls ever crossed my mind was when I was reading what you typed... No, my name is not Kyle. Does Kyle also like to wear a cape and powerglove? If not, I don't know how you could confuse me for him...

Then please, get back out there and shred in whatever takes your fancy. Be that lavers, sandals, barefoot or your grandma's slippers, but for the love of god please, do not return to this thread again and continue to try and belittle everyone here.

Your opinion is not yet based upon experience with any of the reccommended footwear, so with all due respect, please stop coming back into this thread and trying to have one. WHEN you have played in Lavers, then you will have an opinion that I will be interested in hearing. In the meantime, i tire of your constant, scathing and childish attacks on the members here.

While its true that you may have found a video that would claim to disprove what was said by Zeb, the simple fact remains that it is not the case for 100% of people. Stop taking everything you read so literally.

No doubt right now your thinking up your next post, and no doubt itll include a few bad words in my direction. If you choose to take that route then so be it. I dont intend on falling out with you, I like to make new friends and get on with as many people as possible, and despite your arrogant undertones, you strike me as an interesting person. With any luck, youll be a bigger man and say nothing further on this subject until you have the experience to formulate a proper opinion.

Once again....

Awesome video! The title says it all.

He most likely didn't go from zero to barefoot. Generally you go barefoot while you are learning, in addition, not so much only barefoot. And most people can't do the side heel clipper or flapper stalls required to shred at that level. He also got that good in shoes too. Who knows exactly which shoes? But I can guarantee it was not skate shoes.
Go out and shred already.

That may be, but that's not the point because clearly he's still playing freestyle without the shoes you said one would NEED. And to say that Lavers are not needed does not mean I have an opinion of them. If I had an opinion of them, I wouldn't need/want to try them out. I said I was going to, but that wasn't good enough for some reason. After I said that, people continued to try and shove the shoes down my throat, and then I was told not having money to buy something is a stupid reason not to buy it.

I'd rather take things literally than put words in people's mouths like so many people have done to me in this thread...

I'm well aware that not 100% of footbag players can play barefoot. I never said they could. I'm simply pointing out that it's possible to play without your precious lavers. And just because I'm skeptical about them doesn't mean I think they're bad shoes or that skate shoes are any better. At no point in time did I suggest that there even is a better shoe for footbag, simply that I didn't understand what's so great about them, and that they're obviously not required.

No, Wyrmfyre, I have no reason to send "bad words" in your direction. You haven't been a douche like some others. But I don't know what makes you think I have an opinion on lavers. If I had an opinion, do you think I would have come to ask what's so special about them? At no point did I say anything negative about them. I've mentioned that I wanted to try them out, but some people were too busy telling me to just buy them to notice, and the one that actually did notice apparently either thinks I should steal the damn shoes or overdraw my account.

Magus, you need to call my cell. I organized a mini-jam at my apartment in Reading. Some really good players will be there. Mike Toolan is coming and he's ridiculous, Bob Riefer might be coming up for a few hours tomorrow too. The Rieferman WILL blow your mind. Other than them, there's probably 6 or 7 other serious footbag players coming up tomorrow. You could learn a lot from all of us. Today it'll be Zach, a few other friends and I, tomorrow the majority of shredders are coming up. Call me ASAP. You don't wanna miss this.

Yikes! 8O

Seriously - Yikes!

The MAIN reason we do not play in skate shoes - TOO MUCH PADDING!!!

That's all. What makes Laver's so great is LITERALLY the curved part of the inside of the shoe that allows you to perform clipper tricks much, much, much easier than most other shoes.

Other than that - I hate them. They hurt my feet, are made of plastic (China) and honestly too stiff for footbag. But bottom line, they work better than anything else at this point.

One day the Hacky Gods will smile on us and create a shoe, until then...Lavers it is!

If you don't care what I do, then why are you trying to tell me what to do, Zeb? Also, I never said I was gonna play barefoot, I was just pointing out that you're wrong when you say certain shoes are required.

It is rather difficult when I don't have money for them, and I don't know how many times I have to say I'm gonna try them before I just run out and blow my money on them...
