nice nick

since my last post on this thread i got over a dozen bags under my belt. some where close to 30 bags now. i started playing again so now im not just stitching im using my bags, an the quality of them has much improved. i got a filler mix that i like an a template i like. here are four bags from the past week.

the yellow an pinkish red bag is for ^sick nick

feel very good about my product an am at the point that id like to maybe trade them for fabric or bag for bag. id be willing to sell them if anyone would be interested for $20.00 it seems like a lot of people are selling bags tho. so trading would be great!

i only played with it for a minute, it pancakes like a bag thats about to be retired! doesnt set well though, so i tried editing the fill and popped a stitch when i was loosening the bleed hole

. microsuede rocks though, but they look cooler than anything else. this ones a bit larger than a golfball though, fairly heavy, stall machine.

very finely cut fabric scraps 55-60 grams lead, poly pellet till bag is 40-45% full

Id recommend losing the poly pellets and cut down to about 45g lead and add some of this wire-cut stainless steel from Brad Benson:

I find poly pellets to affect the sets of a bag. And I cant speak highly enough of these discs. I stopped using plastic once I got it and the results were amazing. I use this and tungsten now. Tungsten for weight and the steel for fill.
Keep the fabrics scraps, I know Brian does this and I think its really cool.
This is just my opinion. Its definitly worth a try. Definitly pm Brad.

There is nothing wrong with using polly pellets for filler. The only thing about them is that you need to find how many you need to add to your fill to make it the way you like it. I fill my bags to 65 grams, and the bag itself is 3 grams. I use about 60 - 60.5/61 grams lead shot then 1 - 1.5 grams of polly pellets. That normally amounts to about 12 - 15 pellets, maybe a little more. And I have found that to be the perfect fill for the bags that I stitch.

maybe you should use this sort f microsuede to stitch a mini!
I have one from brianbear with a similar kind of microsuede, and it knocks your socks off!!!!!!!

really nice material for minis!!!!!!
