Zac is correct. I'd say wait about a month before trying any mods. The shoes need to be a little more flexible first. Toe stalls get easier as the shoe gains flexibility.

Once that canvas comes out, the shoes get exponentially more effective and that is no exaggeration.

Oh, I'm definitely gonna wait at least a month, if I ever bother to mod them at all. It just seems like there's already no damn material there as it is. I know you all said that skater shoes are padded too much, but holy shit, that was an understatement. By the way, you said about mesh on the outside and canvas on the inside. As far as I can tell, it's the same material on both sides, unless you mean the canvas is completely INSIDE the mesh. And if not, then I simply can't tell the difference. I hope they last longer than that. I'd hate to buy new shoes every year. The vans I posted earlier were bought this year, and it's the first time I had to buy a pair of shoes since shortly after graduation, which was about 6 years ago.

You will get your pictures, just be patient. I'll probably have my girlfriend take them this weekend because it'll be easier to explain to her why I'm wearing a cape and powerglove than my mom(even though she took a lot of pics of me in my camo and airsoft guns), and my dad has no clue how to use a digital camera. Actually, now that I think about it, no explanation is required. She's already seen my nintendo kid picture.

By the way, other than the material and thickness, I still say they look like skater / "casual" shoes. My friend told me they look like clown shoes cuz of the toebox.

Sure, if you really want to, Zach, but not just yet. By the way, if you've tried texting me and I didn't respond, it's cuz my stupid prepaid phone is out of minutes, not because I'm ignoring you. Unless you have verizon, I won't get any messages until I put more time on it.

Sweet. Well, if Thursday doesn't work for Nick, we can at least meet up in Newmanstown or something, Zach.

We're not. We'll show you a thing or two about freestyle though. You're lucky you've got people around you that footbag and you're going to meet and shred with them in your first day of freestyle. Zach and I had to learn from youtube and had no one to show us the basics.

If you're referring to me, hell no. I don't do the blog thing, just like I never did the diary/journal thing.

hehe... well, the reason I mention it is because you're already doing the blog thing (to a T, 100%) right now in this thread - talking about entirely personal conversations, contact info for shred sessions, random opinions, etc. That's all blog stuff.

So, you're not avoiding blogging by posting this stuff here; instead, you're just blogging in the wrong place, and adding further info to this thread that has nothing (or little) at all to do with the original conversation.

so, don't think of it as a "blog", think of it as a "more appropriate and effective place to conduct conversations and trade information in the same way that I already am".

okay, now tell me why I'm wrong and that I misunderstood everything that I read on this page.

Actually mc,

You have added further non-related info to this thread. In essence you are micro-managing.

And then here I am doing the same. LOL

G Units!.... I mean Lavers!

my posting was totally in line with encouraging a new player to use the different parts of the forum in the correct way, and if you don't feel that that was acceptable, Damon, we're going to have to agree to disagree on that one.

I will agree that you like to argue a lot! You were also a mod at one point, which is probably why you feel the need to regulate. To each his own I guess.

But at least you are trying to be helpful, courteous and encouraging....which is truly helpful in every way.

So I will agree that your post is inline, just maybe not all that useful to a non blogging newbie who is for the first time making friends after a flame war. :)

I say let him blog here if it changes his mind about the community.

BTW - I got no chip on my shoulder mc, so if you think I do, I don't...see you at worlds!
