nah... no one has to like the guy. I think he is a trip and if he had not been at the Vegas Jam it probably wouldn't have been as fun. I think people take the written word far too seriously...especially on modified. We joked about both having been banned... it's a joke guys. Being banned is a joke. If he wanted he could easily change personas and be right back. Probably already back.

Anyways, I met the guy and he is a fun guy and he makes footbag fun. PERIOD!

I think everyone who knows him in person knows he's a cool guy. I don't think that was ever really in question. It's his alternate internets persona that was the issue.

Again I think even that is taken too seriously. Creativity is a huge part of footbag. Kyle expresses himself online as creatively as he shreds. He is the only guy I know who can laugh in the middle of busting huge. To me that speaks volumes. If you know this about him, then you can laugh with him as he trolls away. But if you lose sight of who he his in person and only rely on the words on the screen, then you aren't really his friend or you would understand his need for an outlet.

It really saddens me that you all spend your time worrying about such a silly thing. All you have to do is click ignore on his posts if you don't want to read them. You have the power to ban him already with that button.

I like all of you and think you are all smart. It is a waste of your talents and energies to post about things like this.

Also, if you want to argue with him, use PMs. Don't clutter discussions with off topic attacks.

You know IE8 came out with an "ignore" button type solution for their crappy browser called the "compatibility" button. IE8 knew their Super Compliant browser would break layout on sites so they came up with this little gem as a fix all. They left it up to the user to fix the problem rather than the broken site builders fixing their broken sites. And this coming from a software giant.

ps. I did not vote - Kyle is just being Kyle. Suggest some counseling for the guy.... he WANTS to be banned. I know when I acted up, I was having personal issues at home. Not everything is how it seems, especially on the internet.

I disagree. I don't think it's got anything to do with "how seriously you take the forum" but merely empathy and a sense of justice towards everybody, including Kyle. I'm sure it would suck to be unfairly banned from a forum and it makes sense to have procedures and follow them. That sounds like an excuse for making decisions without having to be transparent with them. If you didn't take the forum "seriously" why would you even care if he's banned or not. His only offence really is not taking the forum seriously and mocking everybody. Although it's clearly not deliberate, you could easily see that as a more important contribution than many other people make here...

In relation to this topic, I think Kyle's behaviour has either improved dramatically recently, or he hasn't been posting at all, and a ban is perhaps no longer warranted.

This is just an example, and not my view of Kyle: It's like banning the crazy man from your town, just because people get annoyed. That makes no sense.

I think Kyle could probably succeed if he wanted to be decent. I don't like his actions, but I like him. If he wants to be unbanned and he can put his reasons why to words, I'd be interested to read them and I'd like to see him have the chance.

Some feel I'm in the wrong for feeling the way I do about Kyle's past actions, and while I believe that I went way overboard with my response to it, I also still disagree with his past actions for the same reasons I did before.

Now, I would like to see some future actions from him that move my future opinions about him in a different direction.

However, if he comes back and it's same-old, same-old, I don't care. The part of me that gets up in arms about other people's conduct on a hacky sack chat board no longer exists. I might still get angry sometimes, but the part of me that feels that I should do something about something as stupid as that is gone.

right! hand picked in memory of Kyle. If you are getting upset with me then it shows a level of intolerance for others personal opinions. That is an internal problem you will need to address.

There is a ballot at the top of the screen - vote away, each screen name gets 1 vote. You can continue to elaborate on why you feel this way or that and I will not judge you for it.

I like Kyle and hopefully he sees that someone cares about him in his absence and he will work to be the man you think he should be. Although I think he is fine the way he is and I will leave it at that.
