Rieferman & Nick P Shred (Bad Words & Battered Bags)

Some footage of Rieferman and I shredding in his shred barn last month. Not my best session ever, but a very fun one. Shredding with Bob is always a good time!

fun stuff, sick barn!

nick, is there a possibility that you have selected some kind of "widescreen" aspect ratio for your film, and hence, you're getting your feet and tops of your heads cut off? I know that iMovie automatically sets everything to widescreen and you have to select the "standard" to get your feet and heads back.

haha I knew someone was going to bring this up. The thing is, that if you look at the video, some shots are "widescreen" some are pretty full. The full ones are from the first session, the "widescreen" is from the next session. It's simply because the shred space is pretty small and it's hard to wedge a camera in there. I got it right for our first session, but I guess it screwed up for the last one :\ Still a cool video though!

Always good to see some Bob footage. I really like your downtime links and use of paradon in strings.

I also liked the hopover>rev swirl in the beginning of the video too.

Good stuff guys.

No Problemo!

Oh awesome! Yeah, I asked him about his tourney hosting days. I had no idea he was so involved in the footbag community! I'm really glad I met him, he's been so helpful to me throughout my days in freestyle. He's been nothing but positive toward me. Totally nursed me from a wee little one-sided bastard child into the unique-styled freestyle footbag player I've now become. I can't thank him enough. Plus he lives 15 minutes away from my house :P

More flip clipper, Nick. Also, chill out on the pickups. You're making them look way too hard. It's obvious you're pretty good at them, so just let them happen rather than putting so much effort in. Your string length would improve.

Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the critique, Zac. This is pretty old footage from last month or so. My newest stuff is a lot smoother and flows better. I've started using more flipside clippers and have definitely chilled with the pickups. I want to lighten up on them more though. This is some newer footage that I'm more proud of:

Cool, yeah. Both things I mentioned look better.

More advice on pickups though:

You're making the dex very whirly, and you're making the stall very obvious. Pickup should really just be a snap of the hip and bam, the bag is there. Try to find some video of Evan Gatesman doing pickups, he is the master at that.

sick track too. That's a barn? Barns in PA are different from barns in manitoba. Looked like a fun session. Good to see reifer still ripping! sick.
