-sidewalk>inifnity>rpt. for 10 contacts
-run w/ spinning butterfly and spinning osis bsos

sick hilights Cale! Toe ss whirls do wonders for balance and positioning. do you do them muted, planted, or both?

props on the steps as well. toe ss muted whirl>step ss muted mirage/illusion is challenging yet awkwardly fun.

props on the highlights! you were right seems our selection/shuffle are some what similar. you seem to do more drifters and spinning than me though :D concepts that I suck at for sure, anywhoo keep it up man
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.

so, ive had a crazy footbag filled summer so far. ive moved into red's house in portland, and have therefore been playing my ass off with nick, scott, brian, sam, evan, and some other fine kickers. i think im gonna start breaking in my next pair of lavers though, cause my current pair has almost seen its day. i really feel like i have potential to get really good at footbag, if i only put the work into drilling and learning and being all i can be, which is something i want to do. overall my game is getting way better, and though i dont remember too many highlights, i have hit a few new things that are notable:

 mobius
 void
 spinning pdx whirl
 good looks at ps whirl
 pdx drifter and whirl feel great 80% of the time.
 stepping and shuffle feel good
 pixie set. oh, how i wish everything in my game was as good as my pixie set. magellan x3 > PLO x3 > rpt.
 footed first bsos three dex, smog. ill have it any session now.

heres some goals that i am going to put down in writing, so i have something solid to strive towards:

 run with 6 5 adds
 blurry whirl>blurry whirl
 spinning pdx whirl bsos
 mobius bsos
 6 add
 100 contact string (guiltless)
 vortex>gyro clipper>rpt.
 ripped warrior bs
 PS whirl bs. this one i think is the furthest away.... but someday.

been stitching a shitload.... and sold all of them. i wish i had a camera to post them all, but i dont. but rest assured, i am still stitching and pumping out awesome bags, and will have as many as i can make and not sell at worlds and uso :D

the only thing that is hard about my life right now is being so far from erika  shes so far away, and especially the week she was at theatre camp has been hellish, as she had no reception. i just cannot wait to see her again, and am so excited for her to come visit me in portland! then, there will be absolutely nothing wrong and everything will be right in this world :D i cannot wait to play footbag again with the cutest shredder that there has ever been or ever will be. but honestly, i would give up footbag if i never had to be away from her again.

sorry i havnt been keeping this updated, but i figure almost nobody reads it anyways. if you do though, leave some love and maybe even some sweet challenges! well, i guess ill see you all at worlds!

I read too. Long distance is hard, I know. Just be grateful you're not that far away, and not for that long =)

played outside at reed college today, huge turnout. have two more custom bag orders, woohoo!

hit some good stuff:

-worked footwork and leg movement in pdx drifter and pdx whirl, and feel like they are becoming easier. im making huge strides with my tripless moves like torque, pixie-three adds, shuffle, etc.
-one run with like 15 unique 4's. felt solid and dense.
-two seperate runs with 3 fearless moves... phoenix bsos and a blurry whirl both times.
-blurry whirl both sides... stepping feels really strong. it should be easier once i have whirls down pat (hopefully)
-getting good at some simple double dexes again... datw out>in is easy, and i think i can convert my form on that without hurting my knee into double downs (from same toe)
-lots of good ducking and spinning.
-pdx torque first try

overall, im excited =] breaking in some new lavers soon! might get some red ones :O

peace out modified!

Hey Cale,

Good to hear you're super motivated before worlds. The sooner you break in those lavers, the more you'll enjoy worlds though. I look forward to kicking with you, and perhaps finding some gourmet Oatmeal, if that is your thing.

And, WHAT? You moved to the Shredquarters 2.0??! That is crazy, I'm sure you'll be a machine in no time. Good decision. As for your female counterpart, just mail her to where you are, and share some fruit every few days. I'm sure those mangos will be tasty.

Good luck sir.

i have a couple footbag orders to fill this week... after that im starting to stitch and save up for uso and worlds, if i can.

footbag is so intriguing to me... i want to be so good at it. some days, i feel like i could become an amazing player and one day bust fearless, and the next my body just hurts too much to play. alot of it is my lifestyle, as ive been up late partying and smoking too much... hopefully when i get back to a more regular, healthy lifestyle ill be able to improve even more.

i want me some red lavers! heres to hoping for my birthday ...

alas, another injury.

last year, a month or so before uso, i sprained my lcl in my *right* knee. all year ive been recovering slowly regaining concepts in footbag that caused me pain previously, and even improved quite a bit.

however, yesterday, i simply got up from a sitting position strangely and at an awkward angle, and my knee was suddenly shot with pain. its painful to walk and bend, and i have a brace on it. i have an appointment with a chiropractor later today, so heres to hoping *crosses fingers*

it sucks to hit vertigo bs one day, and not be able to put my own shoe on the next.

ill still be at uso and worlds no matter what to hang out and see everyone, but chances are i wont be playing/competing. ill stitch like a motherfucker, though.

see you all soon, take care of your bodies and dont injure yourself just beforehand... i have to learn how to do that myself.

oh man! sorry to hear about your dog and girl.wow back to back. You're an awesome dude, and I like quoting you, skro. Stay strong. It'll take time. Give yourself some days to do nothing if you want, then plan something to do and do it no matter what a few days later.

do not punch and shatter a glass window. it will cut your hand.

played a bit of footbag with yogan a few days back, and want to play more now that the knee is getting better. no highlights cause i still suck, but i hope to be bopping, ducking, and spinning again soon. hopefully somehow ill put out some footage. i want to see worship the sack 2. i want to hang out with kevin crowley, manna mpepo, jay boychuk, alex dworetzky, luis monhollon and evan gatesman, right now.

life is hard when everything goes wrong and you cant footbag to feel better.

word. I've had the same mindset since like June. it's been a whack ass summer. Just have to find something (or a collection of things) to offer the gigantic void footbag normally fills. do you go to school?

the bag came today. I can tell it's going to be ridiculous. the correct weight, size and everything, the purple sandman made me laugh, thanks man.

be easy.
