3months since i first touched a hacky sack, and 2 months since i got serious about freestyling
i can do inside kicks, occasionally hit a mirage, legovers, clippers, toe stalls, inside stalls, around the world both directions, i can mix up my tricks sometime, land it in an inside stall, or start a trick with a inside stall, and im able to put these together in strings on a good day, so im happy with my progression, hopefully ill keep improving, hoping to get down my clippers pat pretty soon so i can go clipper to clipper and then move on to butterflys, which ive landed on my right side

Sounds like good progress to me. Your enjoying playing, thats whats most important.
Heres some drills to work on, im doing them myself at the moment to help solidify my tiltless game.
Legover > ATW > rpt
Pickup > ATW > rpt
Mirage > Legover > rpt
Clipper > Near pickup > rpt
or if your feeling especially clever
Clipper > Near Pickup > ATW > rpt
Look forward to hearing about your progress, and dont be afraid to upload a video from time to time!

been a bit since i posted in my footblog
i have hit a bunch of 3 add tricks and a few 4 add tricks
im getting better at clippers, 43 back to back is what i usually do
i can do all 3 types of clippers, and about 40 one sided clipper
im getting down my tiltless pretty well, everything from near and far legovers/pickups to just basic mirages combo-d with legovers and pickups and such, my spinning is getting pretty strong, same as my butterflys
but right now id like advice or ideas on what i can add to my drills, im attempting to go up through the adds, perfect the 2's then the 3's then the 4's then if possible the 5's and 6's, as you can see i have big plans
so right now each session i do;
20 fake drifter clippers, 20 ripwalk clippers, and 30 to 40 butterfly clippers
i will of course try to always hit a larger amount each session, i warm up and if its humanly possible warm down with this
15 to 20 legovers pickups mirages, which im still working on perfecting
learning illusions, very difficult for me, starting to get em down a bit better
8 far legovers/pickups and 8 near pickups/legovers, i try to achieve that and push the amount i can do each time
mirage from clipper 15 times each side
and 10 back to back ss mirage
this is done in about an hour and a half, and i do half an hour later of whatever i couldnt do because of getting to tired
so, 2 hours a day total
so my question is, should i really spend all that time completely perfecting every single possible tiltless trick?
or should i just perfect the 4 tiltless before moving up to drilling 3 adds?
my 3 adds which im landing are
ssbutterfly
butterflys/infinities
whirls
osis
d-lo, pretty sure i could land this flip in about ten tries
drifter(only one side right now but mostly cuz i havnt been working on them whatsoever)
swirl, very one sided
spinning (one sided)
ducking(sloppy cuz i had long thick dreads, now there short and im able to have a open neck for shred)
pixie (one sided)
fairy(cant land but im assuming i should learn as part of basic 3's)
atomic, (one sided)
tapdown (one sided)
so my question would be, which of these should i focus on drilling once im goin for the guilt drillin? or are there any other 3's that i should think of?
im a bit of an overthinker, it runs in the family

good sessions, did 20 of ripwalk clippers and crispy drifter clippers with 30 butterfly clippers
15 mirage pretty easily 15 legovers pretty easy 15 pickups pretty easy
starting to understand illusion, whats really stopping me from mastering it is that my right hip is super tight and is a bitch to crank right for the dex, so its like trying to do an illusion with an atw dex, what can i do about this? my strong illusion i can probably get about 3 or 4 in a row if i gave it a couple tries
near and far legovers/pickups are starting to clean up pretty well
these drills are really helping my 3 adds, making all of them much easier to do

worst session in the world today. must be something in the air, so over the last two weeks i had to play by myself because i was in arizona visiting my dad, so it was just solo drilling of all the basic tilts
i got a lot better at leg overs and all that and even figured out my illusions, but when i came home today, plane ride home WAS today, i couldnt play at all, my form was horrible i couldnt stand straight or catch the bag right, i felt like i had only been playing for like 3 and a half months, im hoping tomorrows saturday sesh will help, really looking forward to it i miss the group shred with stanford, and hopefully watching everyone rip it will help get my form back on track, which btw felt wonderful before i left to arizona

so the last couple of weeks i had some GREAT sessions, im starting to enjoy playing alone more then playing with others
BUT the past two days i played in my camo units, huge mistake, they didnt really help much, they made my near and far tricks easier, but other then that nothing really besides having nice support and being able to jump really high, then i put my quantums back on, and i SUCKED i couldnt do clippers at all and my toes were just terrible, i just played for an hour and a lot of it came back pretty fast, but i really hate the feeling of back tracking with footbag, before i put on the g-units i could do 20 contact tiltless without a huge amount of effort, and 30 to 35 on a good day, so i took my g-units and stuck them in a trash bag and shoved them in the back of my closet, there seriously like crack to me if i wake up and see them i will instantly want to play in them since they look so beautiful, i had an easier time quitting weed then quitting g-units!

its been a little since i posted in my blog, school has started and im assimilating into junior college life, i cant play as much, well i still get in about two hours a day, but i guess with a lot of stuff going on i cant think about footbag as much so i feel like that may be affecting my performance
my illusions are getting very clean, apparently i never the them, i can do illusion>ss illusion>illusion>ss illusion, which is awesome because it was really hard for me before
ive moved on to the BOP's and am learning stepping as well
i got the goldberg seal of approval on my tiltless game so thats awesome
strings got a bit shorter, adding in 3 adds makes them a bit harder to do, hopefully in a month my BOP's will be really solid, and ill be able to do a bunch of ripwalks back to back, after this im thinking it would be time to work on pixie ducking and spinning til there down pat, after that.. ADVANCED THREES! =D
cant wait to put drifters and DLO's
new tricks ive hit
DLO both sides
drifter both sides
not a new trick bit butterfly>whirl x6
paradox illusion
eggbeater
blizzard both sides
blur both sides
smear
hitting dyno on occasion to both sides
i am in no way drilling these, there just things ive hit during group sessions with stanford
im putting dlo's into runs, and an occasional ripwalk
otherwise my runs consist of legovers pickups illusions infinities ssbutterflys and paradox mirage/illusion

And to think about two months ago a worlds, that's a hell of an improvement. I'm impressed to see you get both sides on so many harder ones. I never attempted flip stuff until i learned it on my strong side, and then tried to copy it. I thought it was a pretty good idea, but it wasn't. My flip game just takes time to build, and my sides were so unequal it wasn't fun at all to catch up on my flip. Right now my game is super sweet though, i can do lots of twos and threes and a couple fours with awesome control. Footbag is super fun right now :D
And i may have a tip for you that helps flip fundamental stuff. (I just started doing this and its help me so idk :P) This is conditional so it may not apply to you. But if you notice what hand you set the bag out of most often, for me it was almost always my left, change it up. I used to set from my left and to both right and left clipper (and toes). Now i have been putting an object in my hand such as a pen or something and setting to both side clippers from my right hand (and toes). And i will pick the bag up off the ground with my right and too. Its helped a lot with balance. I will stop my useless rambling now and will talk to you later dude. Later man.

thanks cory, ive felt like i was slowing lately, but i guess when i write it all down it is more then i thought
dude your game is getting seriously sweet right now, you should take a new video
ill try it out, what i usually try and do is set the bag from whichever clipper is my bad clipper and it helps form for me

i footed flux and torque yesterday, which was sickeningly awesomely feeling
and did ducking clipper back to back, as well as dive both sides, which suprisingly doesnt feel to hard for me =D
im liking my game right now, i feel my tiltless gets more solid each time i shred and practice my BOP's
