Footbaggers on Facebook

Post by PegLegHolly »

So I have this idea to start a comprehensive Facebook list/group so it could be easier to share links to shoes online, video shares, event shares, photo album shares. I know there are a few out there but its unorganized, doesn't have interested people, and isn't updated enough with variety from different parts of the world. This could also help with stitchers making for sale posts.

Sure, I'm not the first person to think of this... but I definitely know how to do it right. If we made a footbag/modified page, we could even add separate tabs.

I'm a graphic designer (specifically web) and I do a lot with advertising through social networking. If we could make footbag more modern and social, there could be a lot of potential for expanding the fan base.

Ps. There are a lot of design elements we can include, and there are a lot of different people im sure would love to help admin and update. Take note though, this will NOT be exclusively promoting any brands/stores/stitchers... there should be no financial competition (in my idea).

**Also, if you friend someone, please make sure to mention footbag in the personal message.**

Amateurs practice until they can get it right.
Professionals practice until they can't get it wrong.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

I think its pretty easy to search up people by name on Facebook.
But this is a good idea. I wouldn't mind helping to admin it.
I help admin Shred Global and really enjoy it.
But with everything you seem to want to incorporate, I see a lot of people just directing facebook users to different modified threads. Which, could potentially be cool.

I like this idea!

If anything it would be a really good way to network.

We have .org search list but not enough people know of/use it for it to be effective.

This might be just the push alot of people would need to find people to play or even just kick it with. I know it would have been a huge help for me when I was first finding out about footbag.

I hope this really takes off!

I set up and manage a footbag page on facebook;

I'd be happy to add you as an admin Holly if you want to help/take over running it. There are 2395 fans, so it's a good avenue for exposing newish people to serious freestyle I think, but I'm not motivated enough to keep it very active.

Heya all,
For anyone who does not know about the Facebook group Freestyle Footbaggers, check it out.

It's been gaining steam pretty fast, a lot of good updates. Post up any exciting freestyle footbag stuff there for sure!
