who is the second best freestyler after vasek?

Post by Wumbo »

since we all know who is number 1 i wonder who comes next?
give your vote in the poll - or post the name of the shredder if not listed above.

criteria is overall freestyle. that means everything from technical over variety to form & presentation skills.

the poll question is misleading: its not all time, its now and the in the last 4-5 years. sorry for the confustion.

I said Jorden, although, I think that, because you used the word "freestyler" instead of "user of a footbag in a technically intense and difficult way", I think Jorden is a really good candidate for #1, as I really believe that his style is the freest.

If you had said "2nd best user of a footbag in a technically intense and difficult way", it would have to be David.

I voted for Jorden but I would say Honza is #2 and Jorden 3.

edit: this poll is rigged

Best of "all time" imo is kenny schultz for his innovation in freestyle

2nd is vasek because we all know why

Do you more specifically mean who is "currently" the 2nd best?

Yeah, that was kind of the debate going on in my head. And maybe Ryan as third. I also think that Jorden is up there. I don't think that any other players in the past 5-10 years would really touch any of these guys, as far as pioneering and PUSHING the sport go. I'm not as sure about the players from the earliest years.

The "of all time" part of the question makes this hard to answer, especially given that most players on modified have no knowledge of freestyle before 2003. It's also a hard question because no criteria was given.

While I'm willing to concede that Vasek is top 2 in freestyle all time, I'd probably guess that Rippin Rick Reese is also in the top 2. But then, no criteria was stated at all.

Beyond creating a huge number of tricks which are now standard (ripwalk, blurriest, torque, blender, ripstein, etc.), Rippin was one of the people who pushed both sidedness and guiltlessness. He also won a couple world titles.

The way the poll is set up, it looks a lot more like: "who is the second best footbagger of the last 4-5 years," which is a totally different question than the title states.

ken and kevin are right, the title is misleading, i really meant to ask who is the 2nd best footbagger currently and in the last 3-5 years. by "all time" i wanted to say "the very best". sorry for the confusion.

From being at worlds 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and shredding with Jorden for ~2 years, I'd say he kind of takes it.

In 2007, montreal spring jam, that footage from circle is just killer. The Cornell video footage with dave... Just, dense and mind crippling variety. Seeing string after string, again, for 2 years... No string ceases to surprise me.

But then again, there is Juho.

I see a 3 way tie IMO. Honza, Milan & Clavens.

Un injured:
Milan
Honza
Clavens

Injured:
Clavens
Honza
Milan

Experience:
Honza
Clavens
Milan

:)
Go out and shred already.

+1 Jay

Jorden brings everything to the table. And I'm not putting him behind Vasek, he is the best right now.

Dave and Lon are absolute beasts and it's definitely a tough call to put someone above them even if barely.

I really don't know where Vasek stands right now since he seems to not care so much about footysack, but you can now argue about who will fill the last spot in the top 5.

Don't forget, it has to LOOK good when you play.
