brian's star bags are made similarly to the way 92 panel bags are made, the main difference being that instead surrounding the each of the 12 pents with hexes, he's made them into one star-shaped piece.

star bags actually have 32 panels, but you need to stitch 20 regular hexagons instead of 12 pents. i didn't get to try the first one at worlds, but several big name players gave him good reviews on it. they also contain twice the number of sewn edges as a normal 32: 120 instead of 60. smaller edges and more of them will likely give these bags greater consistency, they just take longer to make.

Brian, I love the creativity of your bags, never seen the likes of the one with the flower background before.

Matt, I love the disco ball material on those bags, it really looks cool together with all of those colors. I made a disco/black bag, and it didn't turn out too hot :\ On the other hand, I think I'm improving:

Bag #13 "McMurder" (because it reminds me of how corrupt McDonalds is): My best yet (2-stitch)

The crazy bag is totally playable with USS. Each pent has a much different "sinking" type quality than your standard 32, like each one is a mushy button.
Also, 60 grams of tungsten helps it play well
