wow, crazy flexability. thats really cool!
So yesterday was AWESOME to say the least. Zach and I kicked a little bit, nothing special, just a nice shred session. Our friend Bailey has always played hacky sack, and she asked to kick with us the other day, so she did and HOLY SHIT... she has obnoxiously flexible legs. SHE HITS DRAGONS. FLAWLESS DRAGONS. LIKE WITH NO EFFORT. WTF.... she was using some crappy athletic Nike shox shoe and wasn't able to stall the bag too well, so with that in mind, Zach bought her a pair of Lavers. long story short... they fit, she loved them, she couldn't miss a toe stall bs she was hitting inside stall, strong side, and she was hitting DRAGONS AND FOOTING DRAGON SWIRLS!!! She loves footbag and wouldn't put the damn thing down. We're shredding in NJ tomorrow with Jon Schneider, Corey Rich, John Goode, and maybe some others... We're bringing her.

This is a short video I took last night with her hitting some dragons and toe stalls:

So busy right now, but I had to blog and... fill... myself... in on the jam that went down Sunday. SO AWESOME. Jon Schneider, John Goode, Corey Rich, Zach Hoffa, Bailey Zuzu (new shredita in the videos above), Alex Bourque (a NEW footbag player who RAN INTO US BY ACCIDENT) and I all met up in Princeton U, NJ for a jam. Took video, got some excellent footage.

Jon Schneider: As always, such a fun time kicking with him, he really stokes me up and influences me and makes me push myself to get better and weirder. I can't wait to kick with him again. He's such a cool guy too, really chill, and fun to hang out with.

John Goode: Kid fucking rips, nuff said. He's gotten so much sicker than I last saw him, he's also a huge influence on me to get better and drill my tits off because ever since he beat me out in my first year of Funtastiks, I've always strived to do that and kind of follow in a similar path. But that kid is awesome.

Corey Rich: WOW. Kid's got madd potential. He was hitting monsters, pendulous double dyno, and footed pendulous torque, along with tons of other weird stuff. He's the reason this all came together, since we both wanted to meet up and kick with eachother sometime. Hope to kick with him again. Really cool kid.

Zach Hoffa: Sticks his thumbs up fish asses. What else is there to say? haha His shred really came out in full force that day. He hit royal assassin along with some other crazy stuff. Always fun to kick with Zach.

Bailey Zuzu: Jon really liked how Bailey's legs were all weird and could dragon so easily. We all do. It's fascinating. John was schooling her in a circle and by the end of the shred, she was hitting toe> outside> toe on both sides. Jon gave her some footbag homework too haha. She's lovin footbag and she said she wants to kick again as soon as her legs stop hurting haha

Alex Bourque: So, while we were kicking, this random kid walks up to us and is like, "You guys all play footbag?" I was stunned he didn't call it "Hacky Sack". I said yeah and he said he had Lavers back at his place, which I thought he was just visiting Princeton from another state. The kid runs away after a minute, then we begin kicking again. After 5 minutes, he runs back to the circles, WEARING LAVERS!!! The kid was actually really good! He was hitting consecutive flyers and clippers and whatnot. You gotta check his parts out in the video. I can't describe it, it reminded us of Peter Irish's flyers.

Nick Polini: Wow. He's alright, I guess :P

Can't wait to do it again!!!

Check out the video when it's up, It's definitely worth a looksee.

Had a session with Zach, Bailey, Corey Gerges, and Jackson. Such sweetness.

Highlights:

 WHIRLING SWIRL!!!! (dream trick of mine :) ) Practically on call and can hit them whenever I please, give or take a try or 2. Will practice these flipside
 Whirling dragon!!!! (want to work on flipside as well)
 Pixie Ducking toe (I feel Phoenix is close)
 Pixie ss osis
 Diving Pdx Mirage
 Ripstein (madd clean)
 Ducking In-spinning opp rake
 ducking flapper stall (both sides)
 Reverse swirling symp mirage
 some more reverse career-enders ( I really like these, they're pretty simple for me and I know how to land on my foot without breaking it the eff off)
 So stinkin close to pincher spinning toe, I'll hit it soon enough

And I don't think I ever said anything about this. I'm pretty sure I invented a new set. I call it "Optical Pincher". You set the bag to head-height and pinch it inside your eye-socket, with that said...

 Optical Pincher ducking butterfly
 Optical Pincher flapper stall
 Optical Pincher whirl

So... ummmmmmmm...... yeah, great session. Plus I got some new Lavers! They're white/sliver. Definitely not going to mod yet, just gonna style around in em cuz they're so gosh damn styleeee.

Drew Krause is back in town so hopefully we get to kick this weekend, as well as Bob. It would be real cool if Bob, Drew and I all kicked one night, because that was how one of my first shred sessions was. Just Bob, Drew, and I.

Hoorah, footbag, hoorah.

Just had an intended unintended session with Sensei Bob. We planned it, then I didn't hear back from him after i texted him so I figured it was off. Then he called me and asked where I was, told him I was at my house, he was disappointed, said no problem, he'll have a solo session, I said ok, hung up, called him back he didn't answer, texted him I was on my way anyway, drove my ass over there and hence the "intended unintended". Phewww. That was a mouthful. Drew Krause was supposed to kick with us, but he had to go back to school for swimming lessons :P Jk, he had to get back to school for some swim meet. I wanna kick with him soon though.

Great session with Bob! So much fun!

Highlights:

 Upon arrival I was greeted with 20 demanded push-ups from Bob, that was fun
 Couple of whirling swirls (madd clean)
 Bob helped me sop much with my stepping, fairies and pixies!
 FLIPSIDE BLUR!!!
 A BUNCH OF FLIPSIDE RIPWALKS!!!
 Flip ripwalk> whirl
 SO CLOSE TO RIPWALK> RIPWALK
 dyno> dyno
 Flapper stall> dyno
 footed these: double switch-over, gyro mirage, pixie ss pickup

Bob gave me homework which I plan on doing:

 madd stepping clippers bs

Ummm... my legs hurt?

Da End.

 Pixie zipper

That was from last night's shred with Jackson. Oh and I forgot to inform that I hit my first SIX ADD!!!!

 Flapper stall> revstein> flapper stall (without shoes, but I'd assume it still counts)

Going to do a bad ass mod, which I recently thought of, to my Lavers soon. Hopefully it will let me use my ankle crank to it's full potential for sole stalls  Will post pics when finished.

Ok, well 5-adds is still good haha

I'll definitely try to film it whenever I have some free time.

I had a session with Zach and Tyler last night. Zach and I were doing well, Tyler hadn't played for a while because longboarding possessed his life. He really needs to start drilling and once he does, he's going to look so much cleaner.

Going to start drilling my pixies, stepping, and fairies like crazy

Unrelated to footbag:

I've been growing Venus Fly Traps since mid-summer '10, and they have 4 heads on one plant! I'm so please with the results so far

Totally unrelated to anything at all:

I got bored in my Molecular Biology lab today and made this. It's an office scenario where the boss is yelling at his workers because the company's revenue is in critical danger. ...oh and an office kitty.

Footbag related:

Drilled my flipside stepping clippers and flipside pixies.

 Ready to LOL? I hit my first 3 flipside stepping clippers... MWAHAHAHA FIRST TIME EVERRR!!!!!

haha what can I say? My mind wanders.

This Halloween weekend, I took a trip up to Penn State Main Campus to visit my first room mate, Room Mate (I nicknamed him that during our first month living together and it stuck, so much to the fact that everyone now calls him "Room Mate"). It was his birthday and I wanted to come and surprise him since I haven't seen him for two and a half years. He was stoked to see me and vice versa. We got along just like old times. Love that kid.

Anyway, while I was up there, I talked to Nathan Pipenberg, and Ian Brill we got a circle together. Mike Toolan was at State that weekend too, and he joined us, as well. We had a really fun session, some sick strings went down and some new sick tricks went down. Nathan and I both had bum ankles and Mike was just getting over mono, so we took it kinda easy. Then afterward, we all went to get some food at a Thai place and we all got something and passed it around so everyone could try some of everyone else's plate. It was one of the coolest meals I've ever eaten. Then afterward, Room Mate (who was our audience while we kicked), and Mike split off and Ian, Nathan, and I walked around until we got to Ian's art studio. He's got some really cool shit going on in there, and I'm going to try to make it to his art show in Pittsburgh whenever it comes around. We checked out his project for a little and then we peaced out. We continued to walk to some other place Ian had to go to, and Ian tried out Nathan and my longboards to see if he liked them to use for transportation. He said he liked it and that it felt like it could be habit-forming. He then left and Nathan and I bombed some crazy hills around campus, toward Room Mate's place (where I stayed). When we got close, we split off and he headed to his friend's party, and I headed back to Room Mate's place. That was such an awesome day. I'd talked to Ian and Nathan both before, but never really hung out with them, and I gotta say, they're both really awesome guys. I'm so stoked I'm going up to Penn State Main Campus next year.

Really glad I did too! Can't wait to come up again. I'll let you know. It'll probably be within the next few weeks. Next year will be madd sick.

Just had a drilling session slash try to hit some new tricks. I'm quite goshdamn pleased, goshdammit:

 Pdx DLO (never hit it before)
 Couldn't hit anything out of it, but I now have toe swirling sets, with enough time to do something else :)
 Pixie swirl (never hit it before, strong side only, my flip pixies need work)
 Pixie xbd rake (never hit it before, strong side only)
 Fairy swirl BSOS (I almost have enough time to hit something else out of this too, and is this set "Fairyswirling", called phasing? I doesn't know.)
 My fairy sets are looking and feeling better. Pretty much better than my pixies, since I suck at flipside pixies.

Both my Fairy sets and Pixie sets need some work but I'm almost there.

I feel toe> ripstein is in my future, as well as Frankenstein. Not anytime soon, but with how my fairies feel, I think I'm gonna add these to my dream tricks.

Session with Bob, Mike Toolan, and Zach tomorrow STOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKEDDDD...d...ddd.ddddddddd....d.

Had a really fun session with Bob and Zach tonight. Everyone was hitting some cool shtuff. Toolan was supposed to come, but God knows what happened to him, he said he wanted to come, then the time of the sesh changed and he never texted me back. Would have been cool if he showed, but whatever, it was a fun session anyway.

Highlights:

 Ripstein
 handful of Pixie xbd rakes
 some fariy swirls
 stepping flapper stall
 pixie swirl
 a bunch of my weird shit and [uns] like head stalls and whatnot
 really proud of this one run I had with 2 spinningducking clippers, some soles, and some other stuff

My legs hurt pretty badly now, so I'm going to tend to my legs' every beck and call. I will be my legs' bitch for the next few weeks. Nothing is too good for my legs. My legs are my master. I puts the lotion on my skin or else I gets the hose again.
