Not much shred this week so far :? i kind of lost the spark, or it's the weather.Whatever it is, i was playing at home on wensday and the session lasted for like 30-40 minutes, i wasn't exited about it, i thought it's cause im playing without shoes at home.

Yesterday i was feeling very low energy, we planned a session with Fedja but he got struck by a fever and i played alone also for like 30-40 minutes, low energy, i drilled zooming mostly, and my shins are getting sore from that move.(atleast i know the reason now)

Todays session with Fedja is also out, tomorrow im going to a hip-hop event for the whole day, and sunday is filming day for the talent show, we wont have to shred though, just interview.

Im going to switch to lavers, quantums are falling apart. Maybe ill try some swirl moves in lavers later at home.

After switching from lavers to quantums and back again, i've decided that lavers are for drilling sessions, some "good" circles and quantums are just for lazy game, if you are sore or out of energy :)

Guess the switch will have to be delayed, since we passed to the semifinals of the talent show! I didnt shred at all last week, 1 hour of shred  today is also off, long day at school.

@ Lazy-bones

well if you are too sore and too tired, none of the shoes help ya )) once i switch to lavers ill probably always stick with them, unless 4kst comes up with a great shoe.

Agree, if i'm too tired, i won't shred at all. My knees have their own opinion about how to feel after each session...
Both quantums and g-units provides less feeling of "controling" a bag (as for me). Lavers are the best, still...

Props on semifinals! Keep going forward :)

Thanks Nikita
:)

Played footbag with Fedja monday and today, yesterday i had a headache which luckily was gone today morning.

Shred itself is good at some point and strange at others, like i can't get it whats up with my stepping set, it's so laggy :? terrible, i just don't know what to do with it to get it consistent. Any tips anyone, maybe some specific drills, or things that helped you work it out. I can hit 15-20 ripwalks at one point and other points the flipside set lags too much, and sets too low.

blurriest>ss btfly>blurrier>ss btfly>rpt

blurry whirl>pdx eggbeater>smore>string

I tryed lavers on monday for warming up, they were ok at the start and then got worse, i switched to quantums and loved them  but anyways i think after doing the talent shows, passing to the final would be great. ill switch to lavers.

step near clip > step far clip rpt as much as you can, doing every trick clean enough to make you satisfied
if i drill drifters, for example, not only drifter b2b or drifter > pdx drifter rpt, but drifter > step near clip rpt several times, just to get drifter linked with step set

I cut some of the classes on Tuesday , went home and laid down on the floor and spent about an hour+ in deep relaxation. It helped, the headache was gone, i had a small solo session, though not much energy. Still any session contributes. Filmed another b-bag move.

I played with fedja on Wednesday, my right knee felt shaky so i staled mostly downtime concepts and dexless.

Gyro ss osisx10 bs was satisfying

Also close to 5 spins>5 gyro>rpt

ducking osis>swirl>spin>swirl BS these kind of combos give me the best feeling

Thursday off, long day in school.

Today im getting my black rods delivered straight to my flat, in 1-2 hours 8) this is great. At 4 im having a session with Fedja, hopefully no knee problems so i can continue to drill stepping.

Yes!!

atomsmasher x 10
i totally sudermaned atomics today

spin pdx merlin first try, it was ducking clip> spin pdx merlin>run

merlinx5 first try, decided to reach x10 since they are so easy for me.

toe whirl>symp whirlx4 bs

My knee felt good. Thats about it, 4th session this week. Another one on Sunday making it 5 sessions this week which im satisfied with.

Played 4 days in a row since Sunday. Sunday, monday and todays shred was good. Yesterday was weak control and lack of concentration, but i did hit 7 merlins to cheer myself up in the end of the session.

I liked hitting dimwalk>pdx drifter>pdx dlo>rpt to 8-10 more contacts of shuffle dropping on blurry whirl.

I kept dropping on the last contact of this drill atom ss btf>step ss mir>legbeater>step ss mir>rpt like 4 times i did that drop or hit the bag with mirage leg. Never did much of atom ss butters or step ss mirage, guess it will be cool to keep this drill in my arsenal if i won't forget it, like it usually happens with footbag drills.

Overall looks like things are on a rise, i hope! A visible level up would light the spark more, its hard to keep it with breaks from injuries, when you are going even without breaks it's so motivating.

Found some good holes in my game, need to pay attention to flip DDD and DPU.

School is fun, i kinda slack off but still manage to get good marks

Props on atom x10 and the solid drilling. To improve stepping, I concur that stepping ss clipper is ideal.

Your overall shred game sounds like it's stepping up. You should borrow a camera and make a video for the xmas calendar!

I should challenge myself to 10-15 step ss clips

Haven't played today, legs were sore, well and rest days are also important, and most probably i will another 3 days in a row.

Played friday and saturday and today. Had 3 days break in between. Todays session wasn't so good, since i slipped on snow on my way to school and slipped somewhere to the side, almost popped my knee 8O it did hurt to slip, it went to right(not natural way) i was really scared, but it turned out okay, though i was careful while playing today and it was feeling shaky, no hard concepts.

Low energy also today, making it perfect conditions for a little footbag depression. Gladly i didn't fall into it.

Last days of school and i will have the entire december free. Im going to try and play 8-10 times a week, drilling solo, probably just doing basics and consecutive's.

Footbag is so hard sometimes , no wonder it's not that popular, it takes sooo much to become good.

Thanks man :)

Positive session today, things were feeling good, overall good session.

blender>pdx blender>rpt yeah, finally! I've giving it a few try's every other session, and hit it today! Felt great!

smoke>ss btfly>b drifter

dimwalk>b whirl> gyro dlo BS (on one side also paradon after the dlo)

stepping ducking possibly clicked for me, though one side i have to gain some power on that "canon" move. I got alpine b whirl strong.

Motivating session, just what the doctor ordered.

School is almost over for me, monday is the last day!! And i will have december and maybe 2 weeks of january off 8)

Had some good sessions after the last post, though after the stepping ducking training i had shin splints on my left leg, thus i played without any stepping at all. It was still fun, i was twice close to hitting spin osis>dive osisx2>dive clip>rpt

On friday 3rd Dec Sasha visited me, just because the filming crew from the talent show had to do a little trailer about us. On saturday i went to Sasha to train the routine.
On sunday i was feeling like im getting ill, monday session was very depressing, no energy, strenght, lins, tricks, no nothing. Well atleast i figured out why, cause im ill. Im feeling kind of okay now, though ill take 2 more days off, 11 dec we have the talent show semi finals.

And i still have the shin splint :?

A friend of mine copied me a few instructional popping dvd's which is great! Im getting a big mirror to my room soon.

If everything goes fine, next year ill enter the talent show with a multi skill show : popping, juggling, footbag, breaking. I have a sketch of this show, i even did it once in my moms school for teachers day.

All of this means i have to train alot, + worlds in Finland. Thats lot of sweat all together.

Can't wait to switch to black rods after the talent show. though it will be uber uncomfortable in the first 3 weeks

Unfortunately our semi final went bad. Terrible conditions and our stupidity to warm out for so long made the result.

Well anyway... looking forward to a few days off, switching to lavers and working over the basics and style. Hopefully ill have enough patience to build a better style, with longer delays something like Landes does.

I saw the video from the talent, it wasn't that bad i thought it will be. It's hard to get, so ill wait for a youtube version to pop up, if it will.

Removed the canvas from one laver today, the other one will be done tomorrow. Had a session with Fedja today, the first 40 minutes i was doing well then i ran out of power, i guess the illnesses impact.

ripwalk>swirl>step ss clip>swirl, almost bsos, i left the last swirl undone and went on hitting more swirls. Should make this a drill.

I try'd doing longer delays, its hard and sometimes the set would suck after a longer delay but overall it helped i guess.

Basically i had almost 2 weeks off, cause of being semi-sick then doing the talent show and playing on Monday and falling sick again.

Im feeling better today. Maybe shred Monday, ill start drilling. We had this talk with Fedja that we should circle less and drill more.

Had this thoughts about building up a public friendly style cause i had some comments how things tend to look the same, which is bothering, without slow motion footbag looks the same mostly. Of course the main point is to enjoy the game, but you have to know how to "sell" it also.

So more dexless, spinning stuff, eggbeaters look great and fairly understandable. I will probably start a topic on this subject.

Going to the doctor tomorrow, regular anti-flu medicaments didn't help, so i'll have to see what the doctor will offer.

I know have a big mirror in my room, yet to be installed though. Anyway, had my first little dancing session, or dance concept drilling session.

Image

Well i guess i couldn't post a picture without a footbag there )

Also trained clipper position by just standing there for 1.30-2 minutes.
