Mini session with Jackson after work today. Jackson's ducking clippers are looking so good and he accidentally invented some ding-dong turd burglar move. Neck catch> spin (while still pinched in the neck). The way he does it, it's hilarious. It's far too silly for words. You can probably picture how ridiculous it looks. I love how it looks though. It adds comedy to footbag, which I think rules.

As far as i know, inside fairy is called ''Neo''. It's a pretty common set. I used it in the circle comp at funtastik

Had a session with Jackson for 15 minutes, then his back hurt and he went in and I stayed outside and kicked solo.

Highlights:

diving ss flapper stall> flapper rev-up

flipside gyro mirage

drilled flip spins on and off, hit about 8 of them throughout a 10 min solo session, about 4 or 5 of them were consecutive

gyro heel rake <-- felt cool

Stoked for session on Wednesday with Bob, Zach, and Drew Martin.

Bob: I'll offer the bag to the shred barn, but I don't know if you're gonna like it too much. It's a little small for your taste, since I know the size you like to use. But you can def check it out, see if you dig it, and if you do, then it's your's. But if not, i'm gonna keep improving my technique.

Kevin: Thanks dude, it feels pretty sweet, as well.

I plan on not playing at all today, and just working and stitching. I really wanna save my legs for tomorrow... but I'm a fucking junkie so I'll probably be shredding later... I can stop whenever I want, I just don't feel like it (yeah right, I have a problem...)

Well, I didn't play yesterday, just stitched and hacked with my Dad. He's been whipping his bag out (hah) every so often and we have mini hack sessions here and there. It's quite pleasant.

I had 3 sessions today to make up for not playing the other day.

Session 1:

Today, after Jackson finished stitching his new bag, we had a session:

Highlights:

clean as hell twirls

reverse swirling rake BSOS

Pendulum BSOS

Session 2:

EXTREMELY FUN SESSION with Bob, Drew Martin, and Zach.

Highlights:

FINALLY hit knee bump ss drifter

sliding (rolling) dragon

handful of calf rolls

sliding clipper> swirl

Spinning> reverse spinning rake

pixie opp sliding inside> ducking clipper

After the session we formed an oldskool hack circle. Respek ya roots dawg. That was probably the most fun of the night, I love the feeling of being in a hack circle. It's where I feel like I truly belong.

Afterward, Zach and I headed to Corey's to shred with him and Jackson. Fun session, but didn't last long since we were so beat.

Highlight:

pixie muted sliding clipper <-- stoked on that

My sliding is really starting to feel cool and comfortable. So excited to be able to hit them on call now.

I also finished up another bag today:

Named "Sprankton". THIS is not the best bag I've stitched.

Sliding=pogo pdx miraging set. Like a shoot with the second dex reversed. I've never seen this done as a true set, but that's what it's called.

DAMMIT! That's what Bob was calling it, so I stuck with that. Replace "Sliding" with "Rolls", like what Schneider does.

Nothing super neat to blog about today, except for the fact that we went to my Grandma's for Thanksgiving today and ever since my Dad stitched his first bag, he won't put it away! We had many random hack sessions today with my Dad! Hit got 3 hits one time and he was stoked. It's really cool that my Dad's catching the fever.

I have a session with Nick Pasquarello and Drew Krause and maybe Jackson tonight.

Drew K and Brian Buchan wanted to shred tomorrow, but my legs won't allow me to. Need to take a break off of them for a while.

Ever since my Dad stitched his first bag, he's been asking me to teach him some footbag tricks. I taught him toe stalls, which he has both sides, and inside stalls both sides. He said he wanted to use a pair of my old Lavers, and i'm giving them to him, but secretly I just bought him a new pair for Christmas. He's gonna be stoked.

I just came back from a party and saw a bunch of my old non-footbag friends. They begged me to start a hack circle. It made my night to see that my old buddies still wanted to play hackysack.

Well, I took a little break from footbag and I surprised the hell out of myself.

I do this thing where I get to practice while I do my homework, in a way. As soon as I finish one piece of homework, I treat myself to drilling 50 weakside Pixies with blind [uns] tricks after every 10 Pixies, the I do more homework, then I do more Pixies/blind [uns], and so on and so forth. (For blind tricks, just today I started actually covering my eyes with my hand. I think it adds style.)

After finishing one of my homework assignments, I started drilling my Pixies, and what came out of it really amazed me:

on a side note, I hit another Barrage today

I'm so excited that I think I'll do more homework! (I really am totally psyched on this though!)

Wow, that was sick, Ken. That was creative to do a small tiltless string blind. I've only seen single tricks done with hand-over-eyes. I was right, it does add to style haha I feel like I'm going to start doing my blind tricks like this from now on.

Does blind get an extra add or no? I think I remember reading something about it a while back.

I'm pretty sure blind doesn't get an add, but it gets a lot of "wow" factor for sure.

There was a video from Worlds 2004 where Vasek hit symp whirling swirl and janiwalker without looking at the bag. Like, he looked at the camera as he did them. Don't have the vid handy, but it was cool.

Ok, so screwin around in my room, I got some new shit:

Fairy ss Flapper stall BS

NEW INVENTION: I'd like to call it "Frustration". I have never seen it done before, so I hope it's an invention.. Forehead stall> berger with knee and forehead pinning bag (Anyone ever seen it?)

Another possible invention: Pixie> Under-Jaw Stall (Anyone ever seen this?)

Yet another possible new invention: From toe, you berger the bag onto your opp heel (Again, ever been done? This one I'm not feeling too too strongly on, but it'd be sweet if it was an invention)

COOLEST PART! Dustpan is coming along way more smoothly that I'd ever expected! I hit them about 1 in 3 tries!

I cut out all the pieces for a new bag I plan on stitching tonight since I finished my homework. Hopefully Zach's coming over and we're gonna play some light footbag since we shred with Bob tomorrow, or stitch together. In the mean time, I'm gonna play more solo room footbag

Also, I've been hearing the name Mark Monistere a lot and I love the way that guy plays. He's easily worked his way into my list of favorite footbag players.
