I just saw a thread mentioning Jubal

I remember at worlds Vancouver he was hitting alot of unfamiliar concepts that people (BAP) couldnt wrap their heads around.

I never have and never will treat the guy badly ... He just comes off as a sheisty individual from the times I've met him.

I don't know why he didn't have his footbag out, prolly didn't want to look silly. His routine was almost just like that, except he never pounded the grass like an african drum that I can recall.

Theres also the guy from the 99-2000 from Kansas( somewhere central)? who showed me nuclear sets? He was at css 2, who was that?

Yeah, thanks Ken, I was trying to remember his name. The name was escaping me, but I can definitely remember shredding with him, though I'm having trouble remembering exactly when and where.

I think it was at Worlds '99 in Chicago. I just remember three things -- he had only just showed up real late and was looking for somebody to kick with, so I obliged, but it was a mistake because my legs were already wasted. He had nice quick tight paradons and single-leg double-dexs like that, and I still don't think I've ever seen anybody with lavers that were more worn-out. I mean, he had BIG holes in the soles of his shoes -- you could hardly say he had any soles left at all -- the shoes were far more wasted than my legs that night.

Nice guy, though, and a good freestyler.

Byrin is mostly into school and body building right now. NBD.

I think the last time he kicked was when Kevin came down for a visit in the summer. We still chill once in a while though. Settlers of Catan FTW.

What happened to all the players in Canada? A couple years back Andrew grant, Manna, Erik, Byrin and Regamey were tearing it up. It even looked like Derek Vandall was coming back. And now I feel like half those guys no longer play. Updates from anybody in the know?

Also, does Seb Duchesne play still? Or is he only doing trapeze stuff now?

Canada scene does'nt sound so active...

So here is what going on for estern Canada :

Montreal area :
I'm (Mathieu Giard) the most active for sure...
Mathieu Guauthier, Ianek, Sebastien and François Hilareguy still play in a while. Mathieu Soucy just started to play again.

In Ontario as far as i know : Jay is still playing. Jorden is still kinda active. Johny asn't really played recently. In Toronto it seems to be mostly Adam Greenwood. Maybe Erik Chan? Maybe Joshua? Dante is still active. Playing with Greg Raymond.

For western Canada, i don't really know.

As far as I know, I'm the only one in the Edmonton area that plays semi-regularly.

I think the problem in Canada is that the learning curve for footbag is too steep and the distances between players is too wide and consequently most new and old players alike don't have the motivation/support to keep it up.
