I went two and a half weeks without missing a single workout. That was 40 minutes almost everyday plus a little bit of footbag drilling mixed in. Must say I am proud of that. Sadly, yesterday marked the first day that I did not exercise. Right after work I packed and hopped in the car to come to my In-Laws for the weekend. No workout. I didn't bring my normal workout gear with me, but this morning before my shower I did spend about 13 minutes working out. I took various exercises from the different 10 Minute Trainer workouts I've been doing. It was enough to work up a sweat and my heart going so that's something. It certainly wasn't 40 minutes like usual. I'll get back into my scheduled workouts on Monday. But until then I'll be doing my mixed together ones like this morning.
I've also been eating poorly so far this weekend. 2 cans of pepsi 3/4 large pizza. /sigh

A new year has begun. I'm happy with most of the end of 2010. I quit an MMO that I loved but was terribly addicting and sucking up WAY too much of my time. I replaced a good portion of that time with working out. From the last week in November to about the middle of December I worked my ass off. Sadly I slacked off big time at the end of the month. And the start of this year. 2011 started today and I skipped my workout. Again I have an excuse, but it doesn't matter. I had time, I just neglected to use it. In fact, I think I'll grab my dumb bells after this post and at least do something.
Anyways, it's been over a week since the last time I played footbag. I don't like that. I said I was going to play yesterday. I didn't. My excuse: I'm lazy. I didn't work out either. It was a pretty bad couple weeks to end the year, and although I don't make new year's resolutions per se, I do plan on 2011 being the year my body see's a drastic change. Also, I have been looking at "The bags I've made" thread and it's made me want to get back into stitching. I've never done it seriously. I've made maybe half a dozen 14 panels and one 32. All out of shirt material. Today I found a partially started 32 panel that I've moved 6 times now. Along with was some BB's, oats and beads that I used for filler. The BB's and beads are what I plan to use if I start stitching again. Hopefully next week I can get to Wal Mart and see if they have any material suitable for a couple practice bags.
EDIT: Did a 22ish minute workout with 8 lb dumbbells. Mostly curls, crazy eights and military presses with a few sets of a shoulder building lift I saw recently (lift the weights with straight arms out in front of you parallel with the floor and shrug your shoulders)

I just edited my workout plan for the next month. Thought I'd post it here. I'm not exactly a wizard with Photoshop (or in this case GIMP) so I'm sort of proud with the way it turned out. Also it only took me about 10 minutes.

I decided to go with the getting started again since I goofed so bad on the last week and a half.

10 Minute Cardio followed by about 30 minutes of Footbag.
I set out to do 100 Pickups. Drilling them the same way I did switches. I only got to 50. Pickups are one of my worst 2-add moves. I'm not entirely sure why either, because I find in-out dexes easier than out-in. /shrug
50 pickups (25 each side)
Ducking Clipper > Spinning Clipper > Ducking Clipper
Flip Spinning Clipper
It was a pretty frustrating session. I feel that I should be able to do the two add moves better. I hate myself for quitting so often. I was throwing my bag after multiple failed pickups and my wife gently reminded me that I haven't played in a long time. I need to drill pickups way more.
In other footbag related news... my Quantums are litterally falling apart. On both shoes the outside mesh are torn near the front, my big toe seems to have torn the mesh on both toe surfaces and my left inside mesh is torn. Oh ya, and both soles are seperating under the balls of my feet. I can't really afford new shoes atm, but I'm going to have to start looking anyway. What really sucks is I have a pair of brand new lavers that don't fit.

My wife cleaned out an old laptop case I used to use when i was in High School. Among the things found were a $75 money order receipt made out to Tom Mosher and an old outline of an article I was planning to write for Flipsider. It's about Solo Shredding and staying motivated. Maybe if I had finished it I wouldn't have quit so many times.
Skipped two days of workouts. I'm feeling stressed out about work and I think I'm letting that get the best of my mentally. I know for one the missed workout I said to myself, "You can skip it, you deserve that after today." WTF? Somehow I know that excersize would actually help with the stress, yet I find it easier to just sit in front of the computer and browse/watch tv. Screw you mind! I'm taking control. Onto today:
10 minute Cardio
25 Flip Mirage
25 Strong Mirage
I had planned to do 50 each but I felt some odd sharp pain in my chest so I stopped.
Also, I was having trouble keeping flip and strong straight. Not sure if that's good or bad.
Flip Spinning Clipper > op clipper
Flip Spinning Clipper > down
I think I'm starting to figure out flip spinning a bit. That feels nice.
Edit: I took some Shoe Goo to my Quantums and they seemed to hold up alright for this session. Hopefully it'll be enough to get me through until I can buy some new shoes. Hopefully either Lavers or G-Units.

Followed by footbag for 35-40 minutes.
I spent a lot of time on flip spinning. Trying to figure out exactly what is different from my other side. I think I've isolated the problem. My flip clipper sucks. I think tomorrows session shall be spent working on that issue.
Problems with Flip Clipper as observed today:
-not enough crank
-set has a tendency to go away from my body
-set has a tendency to go across my body
-set does not have a tendency to go straight up
-stall isn't fluid, sometimes getting a double bounce
Did some weightlifting this morning for 25 minutes.
Just finished 10 Minute cardio and footbag.
I hate my flip clipper. I think I landed one flip spinning clipper today. I just can't make the bag go where I want it to over there. Need to keep working on it. I hit open down (is that dimwalk?) both sides on the first try. That felt kinda nice. I haven't tried much double dexes since I came back so it was nice to see I could still set a pixie. I didn't mention it yesterday, but I hit a whirl first try. For some reason I felt that Whirls were a cause of my pain so I said I wouldn't use them until I had lost a lot of weight. Just to see if I could do it though I decided to give it a shot. First try. I'm still gonna lay off them. With the pain I am currently feeling in my shins I feel i should lay off a lot of things.
Edit: Workout Streak: 5 (I'm going to add this to every post in an effort to encourage myself not to miss workouts)

At lunch at work I did a workout with a girl I work with. We did random excerses, mostly lower body. There are surprisingly few excersises that don't require equipment for upper body. Anyways, we did a bunch of circuits for squats and lunches and so on. I'm not counting it towards my real workouts, and we're going to do it 4 days a week. It made my real workout tonight that much harder:
10 Minute Total Body
10 Minute Lower Body
10 Minute Yoga Flex
From doing so much lower body on my lunch break, and doing it tonight, it was so painful. OUCH!

Gah: Worked out early as I have some stuff planned before work and after work will be too late tonight...
Way too early for my muscles...
Ten Minute Total Body
Footbag
Footbag was almost all just kicks and stalls. A few atw and orbits. I think I need to start taking it easy with the footbag. It's not healthy to jump and land with this much weight in my upper body. I think until I'm down to 200 lbs I'm gonna go low impact for footbag. I'm hoping it will save my knees/shins, but also help me get a better foundation that I should have been working harder on for the last 8 years.

I think that it goes without saying that the more weight you have on your body the harder it is on your legs, knees, etc., but I also think that being aware of how you are landing plays a big part too. If you have good form and are concentrated on not making any sound when you land, it may help your legs.

I agree 100% TJ. And I don't think I am landing properly. I try to land on my toes, but still feels like after I land on my toes, my weight follows through and slams down on my heels. Something I need to address for sure. I'll work on this as I continue to take it easier Footbag wise and work on the basics.
Today I did mostly Yoga at lunch with Vianna. I almost ended up missing my real workout as we had a few friends come over for a visit and they didn't leave until after 7 and then I cooked and ate. As I was eating I got a call from a friend asking me to help with his and wifes janitorial job as they were heading out of town tonight, so I went and did that. Ended up being 9:30 before I was home and could start my workout. Determined not to break my current streak:
10 Minute Abs
10 Minute Yoga Flex
10 Minute Cardio
