After 2 days off

...today I drilled

hit
spinning clippers (keeping opp arm of stall leg right at my side.
barrage>paradon>barfly
barfly>ddd
barfly>barfly
paradon>ddd>barfly
scorpions tail>ddd

basically figured out that when doing a ddd (if im dexing with the left leg, I need to have my right arm up and pulll back when opening up my hip and close that arm off in front of me when completing the dex.
this may change......I found out the next session that if dexing with the left leg on a ddd then the left arm can also be up

Hit
-Barfly>ddd repeat
-barrage>paradon>barfly bs
-ddd X 4 strong side
-worked mainly on ddd flip learning that the position of the bag relative to my support knee is very important
-BLURRIEST>BLURRIER on strong side felt easy. Gonna need to school flip ddd alot and get it comfortable to be able to repeat this combo at all.
- scorpions tail>ddd strong side
-spinning clipper>ripstein bs first try
-flip barrages feeling better
need to start connecting single leg double dexes to other families of tricks, ie.
next session maybes
spinning legover>paradon repeat
ddd>spinning clipper repeat
ddd>barfly>spinning clip repeat

ducking scoprions tail always feels comfortable ....need to link it to something else.
Might video soon and ask advice on single leg double dexes.

Hit barfly>ddd repeat 5 contacts
worked flip ddd alot
dyno>ddd repeat
blender>ddd repeat
sidewalk>ripwalk about 6 contacts ( can do more)
flip bullwhip
BW>BW>BW
BLURRIEST>BLURRIEST> BLURRIEST drop on 4th blurriest .....................OH IT FELT SO SMOOTH

Well...its 2011 and im up at 7 am still. I played music at a casino along the gulf coast until 3, then met the singers boyfriend Jeff who in conversation said he could kick a hacky sac well. So me being me , I pulled out my bag and tossed it to him. He kicked it a couple of times then the fucking dude stalled the bag....he even went for a clipper. This was a RARE experience for me considering I play everywhere I go and never have someone join in. He hit alternating toe stalls and a "jester kick." I got him to lift his elbow and face his palms down not up and in. Holy shit......I teach saxophone and it is rewarding, but even just a taste of being able to show someone interested in footbag was inspiring.

I wish I was home with my family. Anyway ...im hoping to sleep and then wake up, shred, shed, chill, gig, sleep.

Ok....woke up...still tired. I listened to Joe Henderson play sax on a couple different tunes on utube and then decided to have a try not to throw up session.

worked on p illusion>toe whirl>whirl
p illusion>toe whirl repeat
p illusion>paradon repeat
barfly>osis>butterfly repeat
barfly>barfly>osis repeat
flip ddds
hit p eggbeater (first ever I think)
couple of janiwalkers...
HIT pogo blurriest felt good
attempted nemesis about 5 times ...not yet

BLURRIEST>BLURRIEST>BLURRIEST starting from both sides in the same run.

Another run with bs scorpions tails, bs blurriest, drop on bullwhip

HIT TORCHERACK to end the session

Thanks alot guys. I greatly appreciate you posting in my footblog. I have been rebuilding and actually....this is the first time in a long time I havent been filming. When I hit some of the goals that I am working towards I will start posting videos regularly again. Any challenges, whether it be basic challenges or harder ones would be considered and sooner or later attempted.

I got off of stage in Miss. at 1am ...got home at 3 , gig for the saints game tailgate party and now drunk and tired....im going to sleep ....its only 2 pm..
Will probably session tommorow.

New Challenge form Richard Abshire.....20 contact tripless run with 10 blurriest in it. Will start doing drills to get to it....

It'd be cool to see you make a video with your music as the soundtrack. I'll give feedback on your double dexes when you post the vid.

Session with Rob yesterday. Tried to take Anz advice on double dexes. Hit some long strings.....

hit ripstein>p iluusion>run

Richie told me to make my dexes bigger...Im trying to fit the dexes into this tiny little space and im staying in the air too long. Anz told me to get back to the ground faster.

Been sick with a gast..intenstinal virus....Felt like shit since sunday night, but today is better. Figured out that I jumped into dex one of all the single leg double dexes except dod. So with barfly I will try next session to set straight. rotate and step slightly back (kind of like where I do for a nuke , put the bag where it should be for dod , go for dex one, then hop into the catch.

Next session I will film double dexes again ( and triples if I get doubles CLEAN) and I will start doing other families of tricks in the session while keeping the double dexes as a part of each session. What to work on next? Maybe tripless drills or long unique guiltless runs...

Ok... had a short session today.

basically I now know how to get the single leg double dexes clean. I hit clean paradons, dods, barrages, barflys and blurriest today. Im not used to the motion but will work on it every session. As long as I stay on the ground as long as I can then hop for the catch then they are clean.

Session highlight
toe inspinning mirage to start a run that had butterfly swirls in it.
shooting ss whirl
also hit a flying trick into a ducking trick.

Tricks to work on with keeping one foot in the air and one on the ground
ripwalk
blurriest

Hey man, a while ago, I asked you for some tips on swirling tricks (ripstein/revstein/swirling sets). I really want to thank you again for your feedback with such excellent advice. I'm pleased to report that I've now hit so many ripsteins and revsteins and zig-zags that I've lost track (hit dragonstein once). Your tips really helped. My best ripstein combo, so far, is clipper ducking clipper> ripstein. I've footed rip twice on flipside, but that's so much harder. If it weren't for the extensive sheet of advice you sent me, I probably wouldn't have hit so many double swirling tricks.

Just wondering, how's your flipside ripstein?

Keep shredding man, your style is so inspiring to me.

^ Hey Man. Glad to hear of your accomplishments. Thanks for the compliments and for posting in this blog.
As far as flip ripsteins...they are for sure flip ...but still pretty consistent. Both sides feel a little different for me. Two things that might help you are this...
1. Your upper body plays a role in the ease of the trick . Video yourself and look at what your arms are doing during the trick (even your attempts on your flip) and try to mirror that on the other side
2. I had a tendency to try and swirl on the side of me instead of BEHIND me. When this happens the window gets way too small and your dex leg doenst have any room to circle. Try to get the dexes big at first and behind you. Dex from back to front for both dexes...and use your support leg to pump both dexes....watch Vasek ..of course.

I played yesterday and today....
yesterday.
Ripstein>ducking clipper repeat started on flip
toe ducking inspining mirage to start a run
Food processor to start run....OH YEAH
P blender>barfly first try and the barfly was CLEAN
spinning ducking p mirage>inspinning mirage
Footed toe ducking inspinning ducking mirage
Footed toe inspinning scorp

Today
Tripwalk>ripwalk>blur>inspinning mirage
Inspinning mirage>ss symp paradon
Mid run ducking clip>flip ripstein
Motion sickiness to start run
Shooting ss butterfly to start many runs
Whirlwind to start a run that also had FOOD MID RUN and drop on marius
Attempted Shooting ss butt to Mullet many times
Hit Mullet mid run
P torque to ripwalk mid run
dlo X 3

Thought of cool combos that I cant hit yet

Food>mullet repeat
Shooting ss but>food repeat

Thanks for the new flip ripstein tips man. I'll definitely try those tips out once my legs feel better. Taking a bit of a break right now. But I'll let you know how they come along.

Sick highlights! Some amazing shit in there. Keep posting, I'll keep reading.
