Thanks both of you!! Really appreciate it!

So I had a brownie made with weed-oil I made last night and it was AWESOME. Much longer high, no crash (I normally don't "crash" as is though), and much better for you! pretty excited about it, want to start limiting smoking and eat those instead.
So I've been kicking in the gym recently. I've kicked there twice in the huge basketball courts just to the side and tonight up where the volleyball courts were. It's pretty sweet, the gym my school has is massive and I have time in-between classes or club meetings to have a session. Go college!

So I was up in the 2nd level courts because there was some basketball thing on the first level, and after I came, some guys from the varsity volleyball team start practicing. They were pretty intense, I watched them a bit.. it's a rhythm just like any sport is :) , I could definitely appreciate that

So between watching them, I had an okay session... I guess
 drilled clippers, drilllll
 infinities, usually no more than 2x bs :?
trying to really get a fluent rhythm for transitioning from strong to flip, hence the clippers bs over and over and the infinites.
 flip dlo (out of nowhere, didn't look impressive I'm sure  )
 toe symp swirl
 lots of osi bsos, didn't drill them though..
 osis>near mirage bsos (should've tried pdx mirage...mental note)
 ZACH HOFFA if you're reading this can you let me know what set this is? it's just like a cross-legged hopping set, I remember you trying that set into a swirl or something? I just remember you doing them. but FUN SET!! got a far mirage out of it :P
 breakdancing jawn>string
 working on a handstand 360 pirouette with the bag on my strong toe (full turn on my hands with my legs bent--bag on my right toe>come down>string)
 whirl bsos (almost x2 os)
finished with:
 osis>infinity rpt
Nothing too big but I'm trying to end all of my sessions with something bs and I never really do that combo, Mike does all the time and I always forget to try it.

illusioning SUCKED tonight, I was real pissed off about that. my legs regarding legover dexes in general was kind of off.. I didn't really warm them up at all now that I think about it :? whatever
pixies SUCKED!!!

Now I am enjoying a nice Yuengling thanks to PA, and am done with this

Had a decent session with Danny and Ryan ("Jiffy" on here) last night.

Ryan just got his first pair of lavers a few days ago, so this was a groundbreaking shred in a sense lol. He's hitting a lof of legovers bs, clippers bs, inside stall bs, walkovers.. almost getting mirages Saw some real improvement in this shred alone.

Danny was doing his thing>> drillmaster. He says he's been kicking more often and he's starting to drill more! This is exciting news for Columbus :P
He was doing drills like
 toedrifter>stepping ss clipper rpt
 clipper ducking clipper>ripwalk>ripwalk rpt

Myself, pretty decent I guess.. lots of alternating clippers. I feel the rhythm of it much more strongly after schooling them for the past couple weeks.
Some highlights
 pixie ss illusion
 butterfly>pdx illusion rpt
ended with  blur & toe blur os

working on getting quantum and atomic sets on flipside currently. I hope to be getting some decent bsos tricks from those sets. I really want atomsmasher>atomsmasher

tried zooming again and it SUCKED! I'm guessing it's cyclical learning, because it just wasn't clicking like it did a few days ago, I wasn't doing the osis part of it correctly or at the right time. did a few today during a quick session I had today, looking better already

" toedrifter>stepping ss clipper rpt " i must be good to make this repeat! I think the drill was [toe drifter>stepping ss clipper>bubba>rpt]? and I think maybe [toe drifter>pdx illsuion>ss smp. mirage>rpt] too?

the idea of a columbus scene makes me excited! once the warm weather comes i'll start doing some solo sessions to add to the 4 times i've played in the last 6 months!

you got me excited to try to work some zooming in next time i play too.

Columbus footbag scene ftw! So stoked you guys are really getting a nice scene!

Danny, I feel like a small part to why you stopped kicking so much was that you had no one to kick with. It just wouldn't be as fun if I didn't have anyone to shred with for such a long time. I'm stoked to hear that you're starting to kick more now that there's a sweet Ohio scene.

Awesome to hear that Ryan's improving too

And Nick, great to hear your clippers are feeling better. I feel like you're the glue in founding and holding Columbus shred scene together. Props dude.

Keep up the good work, man.

Haha it's funny you say that because I (geographically) and like right between Ryan and Danny, who live like 20 minutes north, and Mike and Brandon, who live more south so I'm actually the only person in this columbus "scene" who's shredded with everyone  :P

speaking of which, Mike is on his way over here right now for a session

Hey man, I was fuddling about with Mixer (DLO) last night, as you saw from my video. I found something awesome about them to make them sooooo much easier. I remember you and I both had trouble with them during NYJ, so I figured you'd appreciate this:

Set it from your toe> uptime mirage> while that leg is in the air still, the second it is dexed, do a SYMPLE legover (quickly hop off of the foot that hasn't dexed yet)> HIT THAT SHIT.

Thanks for the advice Nick! I actually have been trying a couple different techniques for dlos and the way you described definitely worked out the best from what I remember doing.

Just got done an hour and a half-ish session. It sucked for the most part :x and I think it's due largely to my legs being sore. I've been meaning to put Icy Hot on my legs for a while and have neglected doing so, but I will after this post and a shower

As for the session I just had... nothing really impressive/different. a lot of strings with bs moves, but wasn't really feeling it. I hate the winter cuz I have to shred inside and I feel like a dick bouncing around and blasting the music inside
 bubba bsos
 gyro clipper mid-string
 string with a bunch of legovers/pixies
 pixies bs

I've also had a bunch of sessions lately and have been lazy in updating this thing. this is what I can remember:
 clipper ducking pincher (first try!)
 been doing a bunch of cloud bumps bs (and bsos) lately
 pixie illusion (smudge?)
 pendulous ducking butterfly << second 5-add
 clipper ducking clipper bs
 other stuff

my legs are killing me. I hate how the winter makes me tired whenever I'm up

sessioned with Mike and Brandon today for a few hours, pretty decent shred

 bubba bsos, love that trick
 atomic toe bsos (real smooth-like, stoked)
 toe blur
 atomsmasher and legbeater in a string
 dimwalk>ripwalk>almost ripwalk :?
 pogo illusion (sketchy as fuck, but I'll take it, 3rd 5-add)
working on blurry whirl at the end, I feel like I'm gonna seal it very soon.

later

SUPER-FREAKING-BUSY recently, have had barely any time to kick. I did a lot to organize the United Students Against Sweatshops (USAS) National Conference that my school hosted this year.
(If you guys didn't guess, I'm an avid human rights (specifically labor rights) activist, been involved with USAS for a while now)

I did manage to get a really good session in front of a bunch of like-minded activists who enjoyed my skills

 flip gyro mirage
 blur>atomsmasher!
 longer stringgsss

had a quick session yesterday at the gym between classes

 roughly 20 contact run (tilt&guilt) with pdx legover bsos and clipper spinning clipper bsos!!!
^^That was the first time I hit clip spin clip on my flip side and it felt AMAZING to hit at the end of a long string!
 blur bsos!
 spinning ducking clipper

I need more shred! but so busy!

Blur> Atom Smasher = WHAT'S GOOD

Sick stuff dude. I feel you with the "I'm so busy with school to shred" deal. It sucks. Keep it up man, sounds like you've really been improving.
