Who is going to Worlds 2011 in Helsinki?

Post by C-Fan »

Online registration isn't up yet, and every year there are some people who go and don't compete, so I thought I'd start a thread to see who's going to Worlds. I'll periodically update the first post to include names on each list. Feel free to vote, but the real fun is to post your name in this thread.

Definitely Going
1. Mathieu GM
2. Roy Klein
3. Dante Dio
4. Matt Bailey
5. Michal Biarda
6. Tons of Polish players

Definitely Not Going
1. Tony Whitney
2. Chris Dean
3. Erik Chan
4. Bob Riefer
5. Nick Landes
6. Johnny Suderman
7. Ken Somolinos

On the Fence.

1. Reid Stallone

Weird how the poll results don't line up at all with the posts in here. We're almost in March already, so I should really make a decision soon. I have a feeling Worlds will be run very well this year, but Finland is far away, and I've already seen Helsinki.

For the flight between Frankfurt and helsinki, i'm using the caompgny ''Lufthansa''. It was 150 USD for the whole trip.

For the flight between montreal and Paris, i used Air Transat. If you have the ISIC, you can have a 75$ discount on any both ways trip with Air transat.

The flight between Montreal and Paris was initailly 690. Cost me around 620 with the discount.

I leave on the east coast, and i think flight between montrael and Paris are cheaper because it's 2 french place and lots of ppl do this trip.

But yah, if you search a bit i'm sure you can find something cheap ;).

You may also consider using a low-cost airline to get to Helsinki.

You'll find cheap flights to Helsinki or nearish-by Turku and Tampere from a lot of European cities. Check out these airlines for cheap flights:
