Post by Donovon »

So due to lack of players, im pretty sure GRASS isnt happening.
However, is anyone still interested in attending?

id be up for it. even more so if nick an some others would make the trip with me an share costs. are u thinking of getting a hotel?

i think this is a good chance to have a small get together, jam weekend. it would be really great if we could get a descent number of people to come.

we should spread the word on Facebook an try to encourage people to meet up.

oh an i love to juggle, an this juggling event was really cool the times ive been to it!

I might be able to come that weekend. I'm planning on visiting RIT at least once this semester to see my friend anyway.

I would definitely come back to Rochester to attend the RIT juggle in!!

I was actually thinking about this recently and realized all of us had moved away.

If people are going to show up, I'll definitely make the trip out!

Yeah, it was weird how the RFA was really active a year and a half ago. Then all of us moved away at roughly the same time.

But this is a great idea, you guys should definitely go! I bet even the jugglers would feel a certain emptiness without a gang of sweaty hackers in the corner of the gym.

Well, it definitely looks like getting a footbag room at the hotel is a definite possibility.
Esp if all the crazy cats from PA make it up.
I also have a friend that I would like to visit and could potentially end up crashing there.
But i had a great time last year.

I love that GRASS is throwing itself this year.

ps: I'm not entirely opposed to making it out to the Juggle-In - might even be able to get some NYFA peeps.

I'm in. I always enjoy a trip up to the 'cheddar. It looks like a fair amount of people are interested so this could very well have a good turnout. If anyone finds good hotel deals, please post them in this thread.

I will rent a room if enough people agree to throw down.
I think the event offers the same rates we are used to for our events. Check the link for details.

Unfortunately, I am now unable to make it this year.
Jay Ashby (jazz trombonist) is giving clinics and playing in town all that friday and I have a mandatory dress rehearsal for my recital that sunday.
The fact that i mentioned it in the first place makes it that much worse.
Perhaps next year?

I'm interested.

I'll probably show up Saturday.
Friday and Sunday are debatable.
