Just starting
Just recently picked up the game about two weeks ago but I've gotten pretty into it. I recently ordered a pair of quantum 03's and am thinking about getting a Hania bag. Not to great but I mostly play circle with a group of buddies and just have fun with the game.

Just a little tip -- if you do get yourself a nice hand-sewn Hania bag, or something like it, you may not want to use that one with your hacky-sacking buddies.
A bunch of hacky-sackers who play in boots or sandals or Chuck-Taylor All-Stars may not appreciate the high-quality of a good freestyle bag. These bags can be a little delicate, and they're better when they're not covered in dirt or or slime or motor oil that dripped onto the pavement.
Hacky-sackers may treat a nice bag too roughly, wearing it out much much faster than it needs to be, or destroying it altogether. Or, they may carelessly kick the bag up into some completely out-of-reach place or down some drain...
In other words, I have some cheap hacky-sacks to use with dudes who like to hacky-sack, and I save my nice Hania bag for myself and other serious freestylers who appreciate the high-quality-and-delicate nature of a good hand-sewn freestyle footbag.

Welcome to the world of footbag! I wish you the best of luck here.
Like Ken was saying above, find some freestylers who are better than you...
Take a look at this and see if any of these clubs are near you:

Hope some of these guys are close to you.

That's not too bad. I'd get in touch with them and see if you could meet up sometime for like a day or half a day, and ask them to show you the ropes and give you some tips. It's always good to establish yourself in the community asap. Trust me, I wish I had done it sooner.
Edit: And you're welcome. I like to help out beginners sometimes, because when I was a beginner, I taught myself everything I knew... and then a year or two later, I find out that a footbag legend lives 15 minutes away from me
I help people like you to try to stop something similar to my past dilemma from happening to you.
