So I didn't really kick today, per-say, but I wore my Quantums to class this morning and practiced BOPs and drilled consecs in the hallway while waiting for class. And I have this class called "Soil Science" but it's exquisitely boring and I always end up nodding off toward the end of the lecture... But I found the secret today... BRING A FOOTBAG WITH YOU. I had one out on my desk and I kinda mushed it around in my hand while the prof was giving the lecture today and I was so excited by this action that it was like a gosh darn energy drink for me. I plan on doing this in all classes now.

Hallway Highlights:

 Consecutive Spinning clippers: (both new records) Strong: 7, Weak: 3 (kept footing the 4th)
 Stepper: x2
 Spinning clip> Ducking clip rpt: x2
 Consecutive Whirls: Weak: 3
 I started to feel confident in my flip spinning so I tried and hit flip spinning ducking clipper

Edit: Oh yeah and Pogo Pdx Mirage. I don't like that trick though. Symposium stuff and I aren't meant to be.

That's all for now. Zach's coming over and we're gonna eat fish and plan what we're going to do about shirts for our jam.

^ sweet .....

challenges.....

spinning clipper>whirl for 10 contacts bs
spinning clipper>sole>clipper repeat at least 4 contacts
spinning clipper>reverse swirl> at least 4 contacts
whirl>osis>whirl>osis>reverse whirl>osis>reverse whirl osis
blur>dimwalk repeat or blur>toe butterfly repeat 10 contacts
blender>ripwalk>ripwalk>blender

Holy shit ....I just saw you hit swirling gyro outside stall....thats awesome....by gyro outside stall, I assume you mean you turned then caught it....not swirling pulled dragon.... dude thats great...the first trick I think I ever hit in that family was HIT SWIRLING GYRO TOE.....at first I was doing swirling ss rake.....then it became swirling gyro toe, then swirling gyro pickup.......once you get use to sending the bag that direction as you turn ...you will start to feel the concept a little more.....hit swirling gyro toe and then if you can get to the other toe you have hit swirling spinning toe which is a 3 add :D swirling gyro clipper is a little weird but will help with swirling gyro whirl....do the swirling gyro toe....please..get it on tape so I can see it .. I will help you if I can......Ill try 8)

Thanks Mark! Yeah it was swirling gyro outside. Haven't tried this set for a while since that trick. Next session, I'll practice them some more and try to get swirling gyro toe on tape.

Zach just came over and treated my room mates and I to a trout dinner. Shit was bangin'! Hopefully we'll be doing these more often. After dinner, Zach and I split off and tried to pull some shirt designs out of our asses for the PA Jam... We surprised ourselves yet again and came up with a bad ass design. We really make a cracker-jack team, the both of us do. Can't believe we're actually holding a jam! We turned nothing into a big something! Will post pics of the shirts later.

Maddz studyz to do now.

K, well, I was in the middle of doing homework, when I saw a footbag laying on my bed. Then casually walked over to it and, ya know, just kind of admired it... I looked outside... rain. I looked back at the footbag *sigh* I looked back out my window... ROOM MATES' CARS ARE GONE! FOOTBAG IN MY ROOM!

I didn't really have a long session, I just got finished what I needed to finish, and fairly quickly too, thankfully, because soon after I took this video, one of the mates pulled into the parking lot. Phew, just in time.

 Upon Mark Monistere's request... Swirling Gyro Toe bs (3 add! lol) Didn't think I would hit it flipside, but flip actually came quicker than strong.

Critiques & tipsters are greatly appreciated and will be taken seriously, because I LOVE this set and would LOVE to get better at them. Tha End.

Thanks man, can't wait to see you at the PA Jam! Been a while!

So, Jackson and I filmed our Sick 1's & Sick 3's yesterday. I'm super amped on both of mine. I can honestly say it's the best footage taken of me so far. [UNS] city, baby!

Working at the art gallery today. Should have been studying but the only thing in my mind was "SWIRLING GYRO SWIRLING GYRO SWIRLING GYRO!!!!!" Kinda like an angry deformed fairy-creature-thing shrieking that into my ear. So luckily, I listened to the voices in my head and for once they did me well!

 plus, I hit a nice little drill of osis> diving ss clipper rpt x2

 while experimenting with these swirling sets, I also footed swirling ducking op clipper!

I should probably study now.

Thats was sweet...great set on the last one.....pretty much straight up....the mirage dex was way open not with the heell under the knee, but just so you know....my has that tendency and it might actually help you with swirling mobius even though it is considered bad form....SICK DUDE

HELL YEAH MAN ......remember ..try to hit a couple of those EVERY session....some days will be better than others

Yeah man, I'm understanding the mechanism your legs have to form and how they have to cooperate with each other to hit the set clean.

Also a little extra doo-dad I just filmed:

:D SWEET!!! CONGRATS MAN!!! one after the other they are coming....

just an observation....on your successful swirling gyro mirage and swirling spinning clipper....you are using your left arm to start your momentum and send you flying. This is a little different than I do it. (I dont know if there is a right or wrong as long as you hit it) Apperently its good for you because it is helping you rotate. Try two things....1. try sending your arm in more of a horizontal diraction not up and to the right.....even a little change of swing will help you rotate in a way where you might get back down to the ground quicker giving you more time after you land....2.. try (just for the hell of it) to pay attention what I do with my right arm when setting from right clipper...I have a tendency to have my arm raised after the spin and my left hand just kind of turns......When my foot heals I will try it like your doing it......not sure what to think of the form yet as far as which one is easier.

GREAT JOB MAN..... I have gotten 98% of all my footbag advice from Richard Abshire and without him I wouldnt have even know what guitless, tripless, drills, theme run, trick theory, how to practice, bops, etc...... was at all. I am extremely glad that any of my advice has helped you at all. I kind of feel that you, me , and John Scneider have something in common.......we are trying to find the tricks that we like and do well and that might be a little "unique" in the footbag community. John is not the fearless or tripless shredder than Dave is but he has a group of tricks that he does better than most if not everybody.. I kind of want to do both. But no matter what.....if you are in a circle with the best and bust tricks bsos that even the best cant do as easily ...it says something good about your game..... and mine....we just have to work to get the same consistency with our tricks that the best have with all of their tricks. 8)

Dude, you're getting so good. Spinning and ducking is the shit and swirling spinning is sweet. You'll come around to symposium stuff. It is like a Russian prison virus, you start with one and it spreads like crazy. Surfing, backside phasing, is awesome as is super and superduperfly. They are all cool symposium stuff but yeah props on these sweet moves.

Mark: Yeah man, I totally have to agree with you. We're all doing some unorthodox shred in some way or another and we all also do have the tricks we want to go after most. It'd be sick if all 3 of us were in a shred circle sometime in the future :D God, we'd all probably invent a ton of new tricks. That would be excellent. Also, I'll try out your new tips next time I kick. And with what you were saying about how you want to be the tripless shredder & Schneider mix, I've always had that same idea in my mind. I LOVE Jon's style. It's absolutely amazing to watch. But although I'm greatly inspired by Jon, I would like to take some elements of his style to the next level. Big Flapper tricks, big Dragon tricks and lots of cool variations of unusual surfaces and whatnots. I'm rambling. Bleh. Anyway, thanks for the tips and encouragement and all that good stuff! :D

Corey: Thanks man! You seem to be getting pretty good too. I filmed the following video for you since you introduced me to the concept of rooted. Check it:

Again, I was a slave to the man and worked my ass off at the art gallery, and by "worked my ass off" I mean, sat in a chair and did homework, talked to some old guy, and played footbag. Well, more like drilled footbag.

BOPs Practice today:

Now keep in mind, I've only been practicing BOPs for about a week or a week and a half now. Please critique if you can.

Also drilled some:

 Gyro Mirages bs
 Spinning clipper bs

Other new things:

 I froze my first Mobius, smooth as can be (smoother than rubbing Vaseline on your mom's thigh meat.. mmmm) and was like "OH SHIT! THIS SHIT IS FROOOOZEEEEENNNNN!!!" :D There's a good start to one of my ultimate footbag goals: Mob> Mob
 Spinning Flapper Kick> Gyro Mirage
 I've been trying inspinning clippers lately. I can get them sometimes, but I really want to get good at them, because I think they'll look cool in my game.

I'm about to go buy some screen printing material to make our PA Footbag Jam shirts. My best friend Leon, back home, makes shirts and said he would do them for us and save us some money. He'll also be at the footbag jam, but he won't really be kicking, he was inspired to film a footbag documentary. So if you're going to be at the Jam, then you're more than likely going to be part of a footbag documentary! I'm so stoked for this thing. Zach and I pretty much only need to talk to the Hibachi place and try to get a discount from them, and then we'll have everything!

Sorry for being "that guy" (The guy who says that wasnt clean) But the set/planyed foot didnt hit the ground first the dormant leg did. Watch cod's weird tricks session #1 he hits hyper spinnijg clipper with perfect form. Props though on that. Youve probably passed me with rooted stuff. Rooted frigid is sweet too. Dont try it if it hurts though!!!

I don't think the fact that my dormant foot hits the ground before my set foot makes this clean or unclean. It's a rooted pixie ducking clipper regardless of which foot hits the ground first. My form is a little iffy because I'm bent over when I catch the clipper, but besides that, I do believe that it is still hyper ducking clipper. I'll try it completely symposium next time though.

It was raining outside all day and I did all of my homework, so I had a little time to sesh. I just did a fun experimental session today, for like 30 minutes. My main concept of today was Swixie sets. I'd never tried them before today, and I was surprised that I hit them with ease. Definitely will use this set in my game a lot now that I've figured out the gist of it.

Swixie Experiments:

Aside from the tricks in this video, I hit:

 Swixie ss Pick up

Pretty hyped on these new tricks. Are any of these inventions?

Went back outside when the rain ceased and did a little flapper session.

i would bet that those swixie tricks aren't inventions, but the swixie swirl and rev swirl looked crazy.

Good shit lately, swirling gyro mirage and all of the flapper stuff is pretty impressive.

After seeing some more of Cod's tricks... I doubt any of those are inventions too haha But thanks for the props man. I always appreciate it.

Today, was... I don't know... Fun? Yeah, fun. I slept-in until 5 mins before my class, rushed down there and made in just in time. I was actually stoked on class today because I'm doing a footbag project for my Technical Writing class. I have to give instructions for all the basic tricks, then I'm going to describe how tricks build on to eachother and hit Mobius in front of the class and blow their minds' balls off. BAM! I hope I hit it so I don't seem like a ding-dong in front of everyone. Oh well, wishful thinking always helps. Session tonight with Sensei Bob, HOI!

Anyway, I have Calculus soon, but before I went, I've been thinking a lot about Ripstein and how I can hit them, but I can't ever link anything after one... Sooooo... In pants and my casual school-wear, I proceeded to try the link below. Not too hard, most of you are probably thinking, but I think this is one of the first few times that I've linked something after a Ripstein.

 Ripstein> Pdx Mirage

Critiques on my Ripstein would be helpful, and I know this isn't the best pdx mirage ever, but gimme a break, I was in pants.... Now I'm out of them ;)

Edit: I finally fed my Venus Fly Traps for the first time. Here's the footage of their first feeding.
