your catching your ripstein behind you and then setting from back to front.....instead you need to try to put your body in the ideal spot to do a paradox mirage and set your ripstein there. try to do p mirage with as little movement as the trick requires no more........
Your p mirage swings out forward ...try to keep your dex shoe under your dex knee.. Ive noticed this with your swirling gyro mirage and this video. use to hips to close and open the dex... what your doing now is good for some tricks but you want to be able to have a tight dex for some too..minimal effort and high consistancy..
I should have waited with my foot but I played fpr 40 min yesterday....and hit food>stepping set
fairy twirl>Blurry Whirl>tomahawk
food strong set 5 times hand sealed need 20 bs
Tried leaning ...got close to leaning gyro mirage....ill try again
hit frankenstein>twirl
hit swirling rev up bs
swirling twirl blurry whirl
flip food 3 times
I will try to film ripsteins to p torques ...I have the same tendancy on form as you, lets see what I come up with....

Thanks Drew and Mark. Glad you liked my Fly trap video, Drew.
And Mark, yeah, I felt like I was in a weird position with the pdx mirage, but then again, the pants I was wearing were very restricting. But I probably did have bad form on it in general
A Ripstein and p torque video would be excellent. I really just need to study both of those. I was actually trying to dissect one of your links in a Sick 3 video I saw the other day "Phoenix> P Torque> P Torque". I don't fully understand that trick yet.
Anyway, session with Bob tonight. It was excellent for both of us. Fun time just shooting the shit and very supportive of eachother's strings and tricks. Bob was on fire tonight, throwing Tripwalk and Atom Smasher mid-string into some dense double-dexing runs.
I surprised myself tonight actually. I wish I would have had our session on video. We both had some really impressive stuff.
Highlights:
Set my record for Osis b2b: 109!
The only other thing I can remember is Bob and I were chatting about who could hit a bangin' Scorpion's Tail, Lon Smith came into the picture and Bob says, "That guy just wakes up in the morning and hits Mobius", I pretend to yawn and stretch my arms in the air, and tossed the bag to myself and proceeded to hit a clean Mobius first try. That was kinda awesome.
All together, lots of dense guiltless runs from me tonight, and of course from Bob.
Tonight was actually the best I've ever played.
Also tonight, I played in Quantums (as of tonight, this is my "shred" shoe) for the most part, but switched to Nucleus (as of tonight, this is my [uns] shoe) when I felt like hitting some weird stuff. I think this is how I will play from now on. Nucleus just aren't cutting it anymore. Since spending so much time shredding in my Nukes, I've improved a lot, but then I recently started goofing around in Quantums and noticed that I'm significantly better in them. I feel like this is because I had been playing strictly in Nukes for around 3 months and since they are so slender and don't have much of a catching surface, it improved my accuracy for catching stalls. Now with my Quantums, the catching area is much bigger and it feels like everything got a little easier.
I really wish I could have a shoe with the best of both worlds, but I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon :\ I wish I had a demented shoe fairy in my room that could like switch the soles of my Nukes and Quantums. Why, shoe fairy, why?

Mark: You got yourself a deal buddy. I can stitch one over my footbag Jam this upcoming weekend. I have limited colors right now, but what I've got is Black, Burgundy, Purple, White, Brown, and a bunch of other bits and pieces of colors. So hit me with a color combo and I'll try to put something together for you. Which Quantums are they? Cuz I Love the Q's you gave me, but the soles are so bulky, it makes it hard for me to bust out flappers mid-run :\ But Yeah I'd love to do another trade with you dude. Interesting idea with that t-shirt surface on your lavers. Would you recommend it? I'm also looking around for G-Units sometime. Never tried them, but I know a lot of players swear by them. Thanks for the offer with the trade! Get back to me whenever you can! Sweet link. Best Mirages I've ever seen
Today, I bought all of the Jam shirts. All lime green. Bad ass as hell, yo:

Also, my buddy Leon is doing the screen printing for our shirts, and he told me that our design was a little bit too difficult, so we came up with something new (ROUGH edit):

Plus a back design that I don't have an online pic of yet.

Just got off of work and when I got home, Luis was at my parent's house! In case you haven't really heard about Luis yet, he's one of the little dudes I'd been teaching until he moved to New Jersey (5 minutes away from John Goode!) But we kicked for a little bit today then he had to leave. Nice to see him again, and he's definitely improved.
Anyway, I don't wanna make this too long, but I just had a super mini session and tried to work on some stuff for PA Jam (THIS WEEKEND!~!!!~!!!), when out of nowhere, I hit:
FLIPSIDE MOBIUS!!!!!
I caught the bag immediately... and stared at the ground in disbelief, and then walked inside like a zombie and sat down and now I'm here... yep.

Just had a drill session with Stefan. Stefan hit his first Guiltless links: but> but> p mirage, and B>O>P
Drill Highlights:
50 Barrages bs throughout entire session, clean or I didn't count it. Through doing them, I figured out some little tricks to get it clean.
BSOS'ed it clean in a mix of BOPs to end the session
I also messed around a bit and hit:
Horsin' Around Highlights:
Clipper> ducking clipper> ducking clipper> ripstein> ducking clipper
Whirling swirl> Pandora's Box (first link ever hit out of WS)
What is barraging op legover called? I footed that.
Hit a handful of Pdx Blenders, footed it flip.
Flip Ripsteins are so close for me, Just need to work them a little more
I'm really going to try to lay off the shred this week, so I'm tip-top for PA Jam. I'm so excited, I could just shit.

Haha it sounds more bad ass if you put it that way
I talked to J Goode about furious a little while ago, and he told me that symp whirling is what helps with furious, not barrage (as I had originally thought). Oddly enough, while getting toward maybe number 35 or 40 in my barrages today, I noticed they were looking more whirly than miragey, which made me think, "Furious sets?" I'm gonna mess with barrages and maybe even furious sets at the Jam in 4 days.
And for the Flurry, it was all in one hop. This trick was actually supposed to be a Barroque attempt, but I dun goofed and forgot to crank for the osis
Will try this soon too. I feel like this one is within my reach, because although both are easy for me, Osii are easier for me than legovers. Go freakin' figure

Did not and will not footbag today. Need to get a jump start on studying and homework if I wanna throw this jam, which brings me to my next sore subject:
Zach Hoffa quit playing footbag. He couldn't have picked a better time to do it, now I'm stuck running this Jam all by myself. Kind of nervous for it, plus it might rain, which would suck, but I booked the backup shred spot in case of rain, so it should be alright.
He said we would host this Jam together and we split the work... I ended up doing everything. Kinda pissed about it. Pretty low on his part to stop playing right before the biggest topic we've been talking about all year and leave me take care of it completely solo. But it's his loss. I hope he's happier carp fishing

you'll do fine dude. I did almost all the work for my first tournament. I had some people help with scoring and judging, but most of what you're gonna be doing is helping people with directions, moving tables around, and keeping people moving when it's time to change locations.
Make sure to go to your school and print out some info sheets with your phone number, a map of important locations, important addresses, a rough schedule, etc.
Like I said earlier, I'll help however I can.

Thanks a lot, Matt. I appreciate all the help I can get. Hell, I straight up appreciate everyone who comes to this thing. DREAM. COME. TRUE.
Thanks for the idea of printing that information out. I'll try to get that done tomorrow. I'm going to be super busy tomorrow though, cardiologist appointment! Word up! ... :\

So I got back from my cardiologist today and I was diagnosed with a disorder! I'm kinda stoked because I've never had a disorder before! It's called Syncope, which, if you don't feel like reading all that in the link, pretty much means that I faint
Apparently, my body can't handle sudden stimuli (i.e. anxiety, substantial amounts of pain, blood drawing, extreme temperature changes, panic, shock, etc...) or else my central nervous system will tweak out and cut off blood flow to my brain, causing me to P.T.F.O. (my medical abbreviation meaning "Pass The Fuck Out"). This can be really scary for me though, because on several occasions in the past when I P.T.F.O'ed, it wasn't uncommon for me to be in the middle of a hazardous environment, such as half-way up a set of stairs :\ I have to do a follow up next week at ANOTHER cardiologist and run on a hamster wheel or some bullshit and then wear a heart monitor for a day. Can't wait...
Anyway, When I got home, I kicked lightly with Jackson. He hit his first clipper> spinning clipper! We were both amped on that.
My highlights:
Stepping Muted Op Swirl... gonna try flipside next time I kick.
Drifter x3 came very easily
Ripwalk x4 came very easily
Soon, I know I can do more than that (both of those Rip & Drifters are my current record)
In other news, I found my very first freestyle footbag the other day! Like this was the bag I learned ALL of my one adds on. I thought I lost it a LONG time ago, but I'm so excited to have found it. That little thing got me so far! It definitely looks super similar to a dead rat

Well, Jimminey Crickets! That was Swifter, wasn't it? Cool beans! And thanks Mike, for volunteering your help this weekend. I'll let you know if something comes up that I can't do alone. Like move some shit or something.
And, Tony, No I didn't PTFO, thankfully
I tried out a new Laver mod, thanks to Mark M. I REALLY love it. I had a super quiet, tiny tiny session in my room until my room mates yelled at me and one threatened to... take his pants off (?) I don't know, I was confused by that too.. moving on...
Highlights:
Sole> ss blender (CAN hit this flipside... I feel it. I just need to do it tomorrow where I can actually play baggy ball)
I'm so stoked on my new mod! No pics until after jam
