Problem with Rod Laver's sole

I'm having this problem with my shoes, I have a new pair and is starting to happen again, how can I fix this? Is this a common problem?

damn dude...I havent seen wear in the middle of the shoe like that....Im also curious how long it takes to wear like that..

the lavers sole will eat up on concrete faster than mats or indoor courts..
gunits have the most durable sole......honestly buying mats might be good for your knees, bags, and your shoes.

I'm now also curious about how long it takes a shoe to wear in like that. Do you play mostly on the flats of your feet or on the balls of your feet?

I have bought many pairs of made-in-china lavers. Some have been used for freestyle out of the box, some have been worn casually for a few years, then lasted 6 months to 1 year for freestyle.

None of mine have ever done this.

You should post a video of you playing. Maybe that has something to do with it. If not, have you been getting your lavers from the same source since this problem occurred?

Hey Alejandro, I'm happy that you're still kicking. Which of these shoes are paired up - are the top left & the bottom right a pair? The bottom left & top right look like pretty normal wear & tear.

those are my old shoe and thats after a year of shredding and walking (keep in mind i had a job where i walked four miles and up a day)

The problem is not for normal use, there was a small hole and in less than a month the sole became how you see it now.

Hey Nathan, bottom left and top right aren't from the same pair, but they're good so I'm using them.

what i did to "fix" this problem was take some old id, credit card, or expired gift card and super glued them on the inside of the soles where the tears is, then i put my insole over that. It worked good for a while until i slammed my foot on the ground hard once and it busted the card out of place.

i have one like the lower left one. dont know were this comes from but last year i got some rubber stuff glued to my sole and its good ever since

it was some sort of raffting boat rubber patch. thats really durable
