They would need to be confident they can sell thousands and thousands of pairs. They aren't going to make a shoe for a sport that's only seriously played by less than a hundred people in North America.

Many, many more people need to play before a company like Reebok takes notice. There's a high level of shred going on, but not a wide enough base of intermediate kickers who are into it enough to buy footbag shoes.

I think the smartest move would be to incorporate what makes a good footbag shoe into a pre-existing design in order to gain revenue.

At this stage I agree that it would be an unwise move to make an exclusive shoe just for footbag because it will be overpriced and unavailable e.g. nucleus.
