^ thanks Zac....glad you are shredding again...
100 guitless has been a goal of my for a while....I havent shredded 3's in a while other than warming up, but i have found that working on 5s pretty much keeps most of my other game in tact (not all)

also forgot that yesterday I had a bunch of runs with gyro clippers(which I rarely do) .....also toe blenders are a much better bail than toe butterflies..

^ Thanks guys.....Ken....I feel like rocky and your mick saying encouraging words  thanks man......

today..

woke up to a all from Brian (pilotshredder)
saying that he was in town and had a small available time to shred if I could.....luckily I could and I did

its always cool meeting someone interested in footbag..I mostly have solo sessions and it was a nice change. He is a cool guy and we had a great session....

I unfortunatley rolled my ankle at the start of the session, but played anyway....in the cold water right now.

Highlights
I had some decent runs...
-couple runs with 10 5s mixed around
-runs with lots of spins and ducks...
-hit swirling mobius before the end of the session..
-got to 7 fearless before I quit but no more..
-blurry whirl>p torque>ptorque>tomahawk is getting easier and easier...even if it takes me some sessions to hit 10 fearless I still feel accomplished when the links by themselves are getting more consistant

-I hit twirl and dyno in and out of ripwalks within two trys...
-hit marius to start a run first try
-hit about 20- 25 tripless first try ....
- started a run with 10 ripwalks
-hit ducking scorpions tail >run
-food

Brian game was fun to watch.....he was hitting legbeaters, blizzards, couple of paradons and ddds, butterflies, osis, ducking and diving clippers and ducking butterflies, he worked on some spin that were getting better...
he was very cool about taking advice .....his form improved quickly with just a couple of tips.....with a little focus and form change his game will quickly improve
He complimented my game and it made me feel good.....he seemed to be impressed by the length of my strings and the willingness to fight through the physical limitations and keep shredding......Richard Abshire told me once to shred until your legs feel like they are going to fall off......so thats what I do......if I feel tired in the middle of a run, I either hit ten tricks I know I got dialed then keep going, or hit a 5 , get some adrenaline and keep going until I fall down.

^
my wife just banned me from using ben gay too......dammit .....got to find a low scent cream  Glad your checking the blog.

I started lifting weights and eating better at the beginning of the week....three days in .....feeling good....

Well.....i kicked and did a couple 20 contact guiltless runs at my kids cabbage ball game.....right ankle is getting better.....will wait to see if I will play tommorow or not......i also hit p guay>inside set same leg swirl bs ...

I want to film my session now more than ever...... I feel that my shred is at its best right now and I want to play so bad......

I have decided that after I meet my goal ....I will continue to structure my sessions in this same way and see just how far I can get

-warmup
-couple of long runs that go through as many concept as I can
-drills that I suck at but want in my game----ie....blender variations
-fearless tricks and links ( also runs with 10 seperate 5s in them)
-get as close to 10 fearless in a row as I can
-furious sets
-swirling concepts and links that I want in my game

A friend told me that he really wanted to see some unique swirling tricks mid run.....so since I feel that the swirling spinning concept is something that I have already worked on alot......I will improve my skills and stick some tricks in my game......I will keep fearless links as first priority though because of the results I am seeing

the swirling tricks I feel that I can put in my game with some work and maintanece are....

swirling gyro whirl ( have bsos)
swirling ss mirage ( dont do it alot but its easy so why not)
swirling spinning butterfly and clipper (have bsos)
swirling twirl (the easiest for me out of these)
swirling mobius....( have hit it mid run but not alot...on one side I think I could dial it in)

will also try to work these tricks into fearless links....

but first

10 fearless is what I am after and you too nemesis

Woke up and after feeling my ankle get alot better.....I decided to play

sessioned for an hour

-hit 7 fearless..........I am going to have to work on the transition between P torque>tomahawk>spinning p whirl.........
-hit janiuwalker bs
-hit a run with 10 or 11 5s in in
-ripstein and swirling ss mirage in a run

tried some other swirling tricks so I wasnt pushing 5s the whole time....trying to get back in.......just guessing it will take me a couple weeks to confidently get to 10

- hit swirling gyro whirl bsos
- hit swirling twirl bs, and swirling gyro whirl mid run
- hit swirling gyro whirl and swirling ss mirage both bsos...dropped on swirling spinining butterfly
-hit swirling ss mirage and swirling whirl in a run

^havent done these tricks in a while but they seem less demanding than what I have been doing

almost hit swirling ss dlo by accident ( would like to get to this one day )

thought about a couple of combos that I might be able to get to..but havent hit yet.....
-swirling twirl>p blender>swirling twirl ( hit 2 out of 3 )
-swirling gyro whirl>p blender>swirling gyro whirl ( kind of close to the above combo with the exception of the turn happens at different times and the set is more straight up with swirling twirl

also realized that double spinning is basically spinning inspinning clipper......I footed double spinning osis today ....

also thought that for me to improve my fearless....I will have to do runs where I pick a three or four pack and hit that pack not once but at least 3 times in a run.....

cold dip to ankle after sessin.....other than the strain I put on my upper ankle with trying to p torque on my heel (not a good idea) I felt fine.....I did play a bit reserved but VERY HAPPY to be able to play today...... 8)

That's how I learned to do them. Breaking it down a step further, it really helped me to think of the first spin as slow, and then accelerate for the second spin only after you've spotted the bag.

Good luck with the recovery. Sounds like you're well on your way, if you're getting 7 fearless already.

^ thanks for the tip and the wishes for recovery......I did find that the second spin was faster ......when I tried to make the first one fast...the bag would get caught.....

Thanks man....

1 hour session today......ankle is good....very happy to be off the injury list.

today...
-hit each 5 three times in a there own runs. Went pretty quick...needed more than one attempt for tomahawk and mobius. I found that I was starting to introduce the tricks with lower add versions of the previous trick....ie....ducking clipper>spinning clipper>mobius....
-7 fearless unique again... glad though that I am finding my weakness in the combo.....the transition from flip p torque to tomahawk to spin I still need time with.
-hit swirling gyro whirl>p blender>run
-hit fairy swirling ss mirage>run
-run with bs janiwalkers, sunilwalker, scorpions tail, p torque, tomahawk and a bunch of 3s
-thought that I really want to break this video hold I put on myself and realized that I havent really tried nemesis alot.......so I went for it......set it great, quick switch of feet, cleared the dexes and rolled off my clipper....FOOTED NEMESIS.....so close...oh well ...its getting better

40 min session......decided that I havent had a session with nemesis as my only goal....I have been working it in the session but mainly working on 5s

today I hit a goal I have been wanting for some time...
I JUST HIT NEMESIS and not only did I hit it from my flip furious set but also from my strong.....

NEMESIS BS                                                  NEMESIS BS
